Nice write up.. Military has to do wit regimentation and commissioning. Y will a civilian without regimentation or commissioning choose to where camouflage? Most of them use it to intimidate their fellow civilians. Dat is why wen we get Dem we Mk sure dey knw the differences btw military and civilian. And as for the second question. Only recruits hv time to worry civilians officers dnt hv and i bet u no recruit will job or punish a civilian for doing nothing. And even if such happens u cn easily copy his name and report it to his division or battalion if u are law abiding...

OUR MAN CADETS NEED HELP It is one thing to get admitted into d Academy(MARITIME ACADEMY ORON) and it is another thing to pursue through the school. A school where the application form is now sold for N10,000, after the successful completion of the exams you pay Additional N25,000 for so called screening, ( mind you the screening does not mean you have gotten admission). Even Polytechnics school fees in the North is not up to that. Yes our Cadets needs help; you pay a whooping sum of N148, 950 as school fees for the first semester, N56, 750 for second semester, N56, 750 for third semester and N66, 750 for fourth semester just to obtain a diploma... Not including compulsory payment of hand outs by lecturers. At least since at the graduation they are not enlisted into Nigerian Navy then the Government should make effort to provide jobs for them. So I ask of what use is it to study there? Of what use is the regimentation if they are not paid? Of what use is the NIMASA authority if the students pays high fees? Of what use is the Ministry of Transportation since the school is under their ministry? D exams was right inside d sch at d central refectory.... Interview was also conducted... ND as for me nt been among.. Its was for nautical cadets nd I am M.S..

We complain of our president travelling over the country, when the former rector Late Joshua Ekpo under the PDP government toured round the globe, leaving uncompleted projects unattended to, organising parties everywhere, whereas most cadets are leaving in their hostels uncomfortable. Yet we say have a maritime institution in Nigeria, we have maritime affiliates (NIMASA, IMO) in Nigeria, we have a ministry of transportation. Long live all cadets of maritime academy of Nigeria
