garfield1: It says 25% in two third of the 36 states plus fct which is 24 but with fct,you round it up to 25 states.fct is not compulsory but makes it 37 states It is debatable as it said *and the FCT*. Looks like 2 conditions. |

realestate99: Answer him, stop unnecessary deflection. What are your elders doing about the drug epidemic in the south east? You do not want people to soil your tribe's name but your folks keep disgracing the country on per second basis.
I know you are an igbo and that automatically means you are incapable of admitting your iniquities but trust me we can help you in that aspect, stop this useless drug dealings, it is getting naeusating now and before you know it your people will be tagging Tinubu as drug Lord , a tribe that has a drug pusher in almost every family, what a brazen hypocrisy. Let's all agree that your tribe are saints. No drug smuggler, no armed robber, no corrupt politician. If I check all the inmates in the correctional centres I won't find your tribesmen. You can sleep with your doors open in your village. |

icon02: To be the president, you must have at least 25% of the votes cast in 24 states and the FCT.
2. So long as Nigeria remains the way it currently is, No woman can become the president of the country which is very unfortunate in my pov The 25% may be interpreted as a minimum of 24/36 states and 25% in FCT. It looks ambiguous with a lot of technicality. If a candidate gets 25/36 states and 10% in FCT will it be a win? |
Politics › Question On Constitutional Requirement For The Presidential Election by Chuksaluta(op): 12:04am On Nov 21, 2022 |
Section 133 (b) of the Nigerian Constitution stated that for a president to be duly elected:
"he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja"
My questions 1. Does it implies that you MUST get 25% votes cast in the FCT (note and the FCT) 2. Must the president be male as it says HE? |

But commented on instablog this is what i posted there- many of the alhajas who went to mecca several times while growing up were actually doing drugs. Should have been allowed to get to saudi so she can be beheaded. So are you fine now My point is that over 130m people are in severe poverty, and will do anything to survive. If someone decides to carry drugs to Asia were there is risk of death penalty, it should worry you on the level of poverty. It means they are ready to die making money. Some may say it's better than killing people in armed robbery or kidnapping. I expect well read people to see the foundation of this problem - A cumulative failure of bad leadership. We keep fighting ourselves while the politician laughs at us. |

But the old man pushed the death to this man instead.
Pardon me to think like an African for once
Meanwhile, Tinubu couldn’t even honour the man that died at his campaign with his presence at his burial. Very heartless senile drug lord I'm no Tinubu supporter, but let's not politicise death, we will all face the same fate one day. May God comfort his family. |

There should be consequence for INEC staff that indulges in under age registration. We should also unify our databases e.g NIN, INEC, BVN, Passport, Drivers Licence etc. |

socialmediaman: Good and achievable!
Average voter turnout has usually been about 40% or less but i suspect it will be about 60% this time. This election has become very important to a lot of people especially Peter Obi supporters. Also, I don't think any of the candidates will win 25% in 24 states yet, i think there will be a run-off even with my original estimates You are right on the 25% being difficult to reach. I expect average turn out to remain steady, or drop if BVAS is used. 90% of votes from previous election used incident forms. Moreover with a death rate of 1.1%, and migration there should be a drop of voters. |

socialmediaman: Out of the 93 million eligible voters, 56 million people will vote, and the candidates will get the following:
Peter Obi - 19.5 million (mostly from PDP, APC, First Time voters) Atiku Abubakar - 16.5 million (Traditional PDP, some APC, vote buying) Tinubu - 15.5 million (Mostly core APC, a few PDP, vote buying) Kwankwaso - 3.5 million (Mostly from NW) Others - 1 million (Sowore and the rest who 'also ran' for presidency)8 ------------------------------------------ Total 56 million ------------------------------------------- My prediction. Labour = 11.03m, and 1/4 in 25 States. PDP = 9.31m, and 1/4 in 24 states APC = 9.28m, and 1/4 in 20 states NNPP = 3.94m, and 1/4 in 4 states Others = <0.7m Total voter turnout should be around 37% of 96m, which is 35.8m |
