Over 50 people died and that led to a need for the reconstruction of the onitsha-enugu expressway. Reconstruction works commenced that year, with the complete removal of the asphalt along the the road, which turned the fairly good road to a muddy one. 17 years later the road is still in a bad state. |
Politics › Re: RE::: Ikwerre Said They Are Not Igbo? by Chuksaluta(m): 7:48am On May 23, 2022 |
gartamanta: So in the other thread of similar name, someone said Ikwerres are not Igbo and buttressed it with some differences in the central Igbo language and Ikwerre language.
I decided to compare the numbers 1 to 10 in with central Igbo and Ikwerre language
1 to 10 in Igbo and Ikwerre
1 = Otu(Igbo), Otu(Ikwerre)
2 = Abuo(Igbo), Ebo(Ikwerre)
3 = Ato(Igbo), Eto(Ikwerre)
4 = Ano(Igbo), Eno(Ikwerre
5 = Ise(Igbo), Ise(Ikwerre)
6 = Isii or Ishii(Igbo), Isiinu or Ishiinu(Ikwerre)
7 = Asaa(Igbo), Esaawu(Ikwerre)
8 = Asato(Igbo), Esato(Ikwerre)
9 = Itolu(Igbo), Tolu(Ikwerre)
10 = Iri(Igbo), Ri(Ikwerre)
Any similarities? I don't understand your intent. Ikwerre's say they are not igbo now, respect them please. Its not by force. Or what do they add to you if they become igbo? |

What do we Nigerians want? A cultist gets sick all of a sudden in court but a Governor with balls is taking him head on, still we complain. I ask again, what do we want? |

SmartPolician: Kunle Afolayan, Kemi Adetiba and Ayo Makun are proving to be some of the best things that ever happened to Nigeria's Nollywood.
I hate to see low-budget Nigerian movies because they are veryyyyyyyy annoying. However, those three names are rewriting the narrative. Asaba guys gave us quantity, Lagos people gave us quality. Rewriting what narrative? Good camera and location doesn't translate to better movies. Go back and watch old nollywood movies and compare them with what we have now. The point is that the Asaba nollywood made nigerian movies what it is today. How many of this new movies are making waves outside nigeria? One thing I dislike about us nigerians is the way we discredit people that made the industry what it is today. Mind you I still prefer my Epic Asaba movies. |

Jonah507: If the payment would not be enough to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal, why not keep the payment and allow the subsidy continue but with serious monitoring. Difference is the fact that funds will go to citizens and not the oil marketers. Also expect to see a huge drop in oil importation numbers as the subsidy scam dies off. |

bigeliot: So what's d point, u remove fuel subsidy to pay d citizens transport allowance. since money will still b spent, just leave d subsidy there bcus I dont see any point there. U pay fuel subsidy= govt spend money. You pay transport allowance=govt spend money. No sense inside. one person will just chop d whole money. Just looking for an avenue for a northerner to chop money and clean mouth. D one dat happened during corona, nobody has been convicted, all the money that were donated just miss. Mumu govt I think I get their objective. At least during that period the marketers will not have access to the free subsidy money, and the money will serve as a cushion to citizens. |

This people make too much money to just shut down because of ₦10million fine. Profit calculator, why not open your own loan app? |

PHIA, Rivers will be pushed out of the top 3 to a far 4th. Very unnecessary comment, why boast about overtaking Abuja or Ph? What is the essence? You are part of those that attract ridicules to Igbos. Better stop this and respect yourself subsequently. |

Namnam: We only need 64 square km of land to fully supply Nigeria with solar power, its less expensive and less environmentally costly than using gas and fuel Maybe you should find out what the exported gas from the Nigerian LNG is used for, and why whoever is buying it is not using Solar. We have the competitive advantage of developing our gas infrastructure to power our country. I agree Solar is good but what happens at night times? Do we invest in large scale battery storage (capital intensive)?. My point remains that there is a Siemens roadmap to move our power generation from a meagre 4,000MW to about 30,000MW. Government should focus on that and leave Solar for private investors. |
Politics › Re: FG Plans Five Million Solar-powered Households, 250,000 Jobs by Chuksaluta(m): 4:55pm On Oct 26, 2021 |
It would be cheaper to invest in gas-to-power as we have a lot of untapped Gas. Renewable is good but more expensive than Gas. |
