DenreleDave: So u think court will cut half of BAT votes for obi?
U must be a 🤡
IREV data will be the clown. You should be celebrating your stolen mandate and allow Obidient do what pleases them. You say go to court and we are going there, why the headache on our futile effort? You should be relaxed that we will lose in the court and be more concerned in going to hotnigerianjobs to become employed and pay taxes.
reddingtonblack: Bro arguing Re-run now is like putting the cart before the horse, as far as reality is concern OBI as not triggered the clause for a re-run don't you think it is a waste of my time debating a re-run when nothing has changed. Do you even know the differences between Asiwaju and Peter Obi votes, let me help you out ...2,693,193 only
Now has 2,693,183 votes to reclaim or he win additional 9 states .. from a logical lens please which one is feasible for OBI, BVAS endures no votes can come from outside asides what as being computed as total, so obi will have to get 2.693,19'4'million @least from what other candidates have is that feasible can you put your life savings on it
He just needs to reallocate half that votes from APC. Doing that APC will miss the 25% spread or highest votes. Just relax
reddingtonblack: Have Peter OBI met that requirement, as he scaled first ballot, the more i listen to Obedient reasoning the more proud i am that i didnt follow the crowd.
Before any of them can qualify for a re-run they must prove they won 25% across 25 states, presently OBI has 16 states where will 9states come, remember Atiku is also in the race technically they will cancel each other.
Oga you need to download the Nigerian Constitution and learn. At least i will teach you something today.
See extract from section 134 of the constitution on requirements for rerun.
a) the candidate who scored the highest number of votes at any election held in accordance with the said subsection (2) of this section; and
(b) one among the remaining candidates who has a majority of votes in the highest number of States, so however that where there are more than one candidate with majority of votes in the highest number of States, the candidate among them with the highest total of votes cast at the election shall be the second candidate for the election
Majority of votes means >50%. Current majority distribution APC: 8 - Kwara, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, zamfara, kogi, Borno LP: 8 - Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Delta, Fct, Edo PDP: 4 - Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe, Kebbi
reddingtonblack: Naive bunch, Obi is myopic becos from all indications he should know he can't meet the 25% spread, even if they add more votes for him everywhere he won as long as he does not get additional 9 states it is an effort in futility.
You people are focusing on total numbers, no one una among is smart enough to see that 25% spread across 25 states is one hurdle OBi can't jump as far as these election is concern,
check out the states that remain and do the mental evaluation, the same way Atiku & Tinubu can't get 25% in the East is the same way OBi can't get 25% in the core North, so where will 9 states come from
Oga you only need 25% spread in the first ballot. You don't need it in a rerun. Obi and Atiku will have a rerun.
I hope the president listens to this wise council. The tension is rising and I pray that INEC will do the right thing. Imagine APC winning Oyigbo LGA in Rivers.
Section 134 of the constitution gave condition for rerun between:
(a) the candidate who scored the highest number of votes at any election held in accordance with the said subsection (2) of this section; and
(b) one among the remaining candidates who has a majority of votes in the highest number of States, so however that where there are more than one candidate with majority of votes in the highest number of States, the candidate among them with the highest total of votes cast at the election shall be the second candidate for the election
This election has clearly shown that the NW/NE have fraternal hatred for SE. How else can you explain the very low projection given to Obi there. SW are very Liberal as Obi is doing Fairly well even with BAT on the table.
The SE voted for Yaradua from NW in 2007, and Atiku from NE in 2019. My question is why is there such hatred for Obi from the core North?
