She won't remain the same thereafter. Imagine daughter in a sick bed, husband in prison. Non of Ekweremadu children could give their sister kidney but a poor boy had to be entice with money. Maybe he got what he deserves but ...

It's a very unfortunate time for them. The major victim is the sick daughter and the poor boy. I have lost 2 friends to this kidney illness, they were both less than 30 years when they passed on. We should take our health seriously and avoid drinking fake alcoholic drinks and rubbing poisonous bleaching cream.

Otedola should not be taken seriously,he is part of the people benefiting from corruption in Nigeria. He would always support corrupt leaders because that is his only gateway to wealth.

It is funny how his children are living large in abroad but he wants us to vote for someone whose only aim is to feed us cassava and Agbado.

2023 is not about corrupt personnels like Otedola and Tinubu,2023 is all about the poor masses,the students on strike,the poor women buying kerosene for 800/litre. 2023 is the year the above people will stand behind a candidate we believe in and not a drug dealer that pays people for political support

Otedola has the right to choose any candidate, that doesn't make him corrupt. Campaign for your candidate respectfully please.

Politics / Re: Peter Obi Is Cruel Thief, He Owed Anambra Worker 36 Month Arrear by Chuksaluta(m): 9:56pm On Jul 02, 2022
Chinkoalhaji34:
Awka — Scores of angry workers of Anambra State Water Corporation yesterday stormed the Awka Government House to protest before Governor Peter Obi the non-payment of 36 months of arrears of salaries.

They alleged that the government was insensitive to their problems.
However, in an interactive session with journalists last week, Obi had noted the problem of the corporation and said it is one of the areas he would tackle effectively and revolutionize.

The placard-carrying workers besieged the main entrance of the Awka Government House at about 11am calling on the Government to pay them their 36 months salary arrears. They accused the state government of not paying enough attention to the water sector.

In an 11-point resolution prepared by what they called 'the Workers Action Committee' of the corporation, the workers called the government to 'pay off the workers and close the corporation if and only if the government and people of Anambra state do not need our service any more'.

'The workers of the Water Corporation feel constrained to inform the general public of the sufferings, anguish and inhuman treatment being meted to them by way of unpaid salaries now accumulated to 36 months. It is common knowledge that the State Water Corporation is a very important Government parastatals which provides potable water to the citizens, but has since suffered neglect from successive governments coupled with the ecological disasters at her major schemes at Onitsha and Awka.

'Lack of potable water in major cities of the state has resulted in current epidemic in the state. It was in recognition of the hopelessness of the workers and therefore the compelling need to alleviate the sufferings of these workers who have been owed several months arrears of salaries, until the change of government. In addition the government was visiting the corporation steadily to assure workers and assess the progress of staff and as well inspect some government commitments in the corporation.

'Surprisingly and in utter disbelief in the present dispensation, the poor workers have grudgingly been paid only two months salaries by government in today's depressive economy, out of 36 months and the doors closed on the poor workers. Our number 1 state citizen has not bothered to visit the facilities of the corporation to assess the situation and has not bothered also about the frequent reports reaching him through his aides, friends and relations and even the clergy about the death of so many staff of the corporation and members of their families whose children cannot get medical care for lack of fund, no longer attend schools, just as the parents cannot afford food, pay house rent etc.

'Workers have communicated the Governor variously on this non-payment of salary issue. During a recent visit to the Government House by the workers our Governor promised the workers a fair deal but regrettably since then, about five of the workers who went to see him have lost their lives added to over 45 other workers who have since died. Other scheduled parastatals in the state are receiving salaries regularly except Water Corporation. In other states, of the federation Water Agencies receive handsome subvention and other assistances necessary', the workers said.
Addressing the protesting workers, Anambra State Information Commissioner, Prof. (Mrs.) Chinyere Okunna told them that the government was working hard to address their problem. In fact, the commissioner informed the aggrieved workers that their problem came up in their recent executive council meeting.

Okunna said the government would commence the payment of the arrears by the end of this month as she told them that it was an issue that needs collective decision hence its deliberation at the executive council meeting.

Source: https://allafrica.com/stories/200608150523.html

This was months after he was sworn in, at least this can serve as an evidence of salary backlogs when he became governor, which he cleared before handing over.
The fact remains that Peter Obi and the late Dora Akunyili are some of the most passionate leaders from the South East since 1999. Same passion as Fashola, Zulum, Donald Duke and Elrufai.

See, let's be realistic here, people can't be complaining about Same thing on the attitudes of some if not majority of Obi's supporters and think they are all saying nonsense.

I do not support Obi, it's all glaring on my activities on this forum yet you can never say you have seen me attacking him or his personality.

Infact, I have been making suggestions to Obi and his supporters on how to run the campaign . That's how I believe real Politics should be played not the other way around.

Obi's supporters don't have decorum, they are not interested in listening to the other side.

The question is would such attitudes attract people to Obi or send them away

Oga shut up. Number one mpurumiri and ipob poster in this platform.

Let tell you upfront, I will not vote OBI, but I can dissuade anyone, but the cyber bulling is becoming unbearable.
I woke up this morning that Pastor Poju, that gave platform for former Gov. Obi to promote his ideals, have been forced to pull down his message.
Hope Obidents are learning.......

Thank God you never supported him, why the sudden care? Or you want to apply reverse psychology. Why didn't he give BAT his platform?
I don't support the cyber bullying but he should just come out plain and say who he is supporting and give reasons. Not to dampen the morale of the youths.

All of a sudden people are threatened and dampening the spirit of the youth to make change. We know that 2023 will be APC vs PDP. Let's allow the youths to express themselves, they have kept quiet for too long. Public Universities have been on strike for months and all these emergent spokesperson did nothing about it.
If the youths have decided to waste their vote in 2023 to make a statement let them be.
I forsee an election rerun if BAT, Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso are on the ballot, as it will be extremely difficult for the big two to get 50% of the vote. That will give LP a bargaining power when supporting either APC or PDP. If LP performs well I.e get up to 4m votes, I believe it will inspire a greater movement in 2027.

Politics / Re: Youths In Nassarawa Take To The Streets In Support Of Obi (Pictures) by Chuksaluta(m): 9:05am On Jun 29, 2022
Dsalvo:

You don't know me. I am on the side of Nigerian youths. My kids were born in one of the best nations of the world and being raised there.

They are in a system that works well and makes my job as a parent much easier.

I want the same for every Nigerian child whether Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Idoma, Edo, Itsekiri, Ijaw or whatever.

Yet pragmatic knowledge and awareness of occurences under Buhari for the past seven years, will leave most critical thinker aware of the fact that only Tinubu is fit to move Nigeria forward.

Atiku, though okay-ish in my opinion, will be compromised and cannot improve Nigeria. That is a fact. The holistic reforms Nigeria needs Atiku will never touch because of innate compromises that will prevent him doing so.

Kwankwaso will even be worse as an unrepentant Northern supremacist who is near fascist in political leaning.

Peter Obi is the biggest joke only young and gullible Nigerians can entertain because, due to disappointment in a failed system, they erroneously believe the youngest candidate is best.

He would come with no structure, no support base to fight for him, against the most wicked and most heinous cabal in our human universe, and would be undermined at will, regardless of his good intentions, as GEJ was repeatedly, expensively and detrimentally for Nigeria.

Idealism, and disillusionment about past "failed old men", is the only thing driving the Obi project.

Even recent events, where Jagaban fought very powerful supremacist 'business as usual, forces to emerge APC candidate, shows he is the President Nigeria needs.

Obi fled at the slighest sign of difficulty in his path. Is that who you want fighting your cause in a life or death battle?

Match all that with the names Tinubu has made who themselves have gone on to be heavyweights of Nigerian politics and administration.

Show me a single titan Obi has mentored if you understand that the best leaders raise other leaders. Just show me one alone.

While at it, show me one enduring institution or political platform Obi has created. Just one will do and let us remember Obi has been in Nigerian politics for 2 decades now.

While the ordinary Obi is party-hopping, up and down, like a cheap prostitute, Tinubu was resolutely changing the political landscape of the huge and entrenched SW deposing PDP to replace it with APC.

He mentored a process virtually unseen in Africa i.e the feat of defeating the incumbent President of a self-styled "biggest Party in Africa" monolith.

Is it not obvious, for critical and logical thinkers, that it is only disillusionment with 'names' that is responsible for the misguided faith being vested in Obi?

In everything, and in regards to presidential qualities, Obi does not even reach the ankle of Tinubu.

Sad truth is that most Nigerian youths, per what they invest their time in, are not informed enough to make good, logical and pragmatically effective political choices.

If I only take an interest in a car when it is time to drive it, without familiarizing myself with how to maintain my vehicle, will my car remain sound and fit for it's primary purpose of getting me from A To B ?

I get your point and they are valid. I just feel that the youths should be encouraged to express themselves any how they want. Public Universities have been on strike for the better part of the last four years.
I have nothing against the Asiwaju, he is a great politician who has structures. Let him tell the youths what he will do for them too.

Since it is a joke, what have you done for nigeria before? Like it or not, these guys have done what they believe is right. At the end of the day even Atiku and Tinubu with their bigger platforms can't be president at the same time, one of them must lose.
You mock them for campaigning online, they go offline you still mock them online. This is how battered the Nigerian youths have become.

Nollywood is not Igbo. Let me tell you a bitter truth. A standard movie produced in Yoruba would earn more audience than another standard one produced in Igbo. Yoruba owns Nollywood, Yoruba makes it fruitful , we make it 'tussh' and honourable and we have the audience to make any movie sells faster, so we own Nollywood

You people have come again. In the 90s and early 2000s you guys mocked the igbo dominated nollywood for putting out substandard movies, but guess what? Those same movies were celebrated across Africa. We had stars from all tribes like Omotola, Ini edo, Jim iyke, Desmond Eliot etc.
Today the yorubas have invested more on cinematography which is good but trying to mock the Asaba industry that gave us a niche is what I don't agree. How many of this good quality movies make wave in Africa?
The only mistake I think the Asaba/Enugu film makers made was calling themselves Nollywood. A Sallywood or so would have give authenticity to them. Now after all the labour you guys benefiting from their foundation now mock them openly.
That's how you guys mocked Genevieve on her first nigerian movie on netflix, but today every Tom, dick and Harry have theirs.
The problem with us Nigerians is that we don't honour the labour of our heroes past.

In 2005 there was an accident between a trailer and other vehicles at this same spot, there was a police checkpoint and the trailer was avoiding settling them. Over 50 people died and that led to a need for the reconstruction of the onitsha-enugu expressway.

Reconstruction works commenced that year, with the complete removal of the asphalt along the the road, which turned the fairly good road to a muddy one. 17 years later the road is still in a bad state.

So in the other thread of similar name, someone said Ikwerres are not Igbo and buttressed it with some differences in the central Igbo language and Ikwerre language.

I decided to compare the numbers 1 to 10 in with central Igbo and Ikwerre language

1 to 10 in Igbo and Ikwerre

1 = Otu(Igbo), Otu(Ikwerre)

2 = Abuo(Igbo), Ebo(Ikwerre)

3 = Ato(Igbo), Eto(Ikwerre)

4 = Ano(Igbo), Eno(Ikwerre

5 = Ise(Igbo), Ise(Ikwerre)

6 = Isii or Ishii(Igbo), Isiinu or Ishiinu(Ikwerre)

7 = Asaa(Igbo), Esaawu(Ikwerre)

8 = Asato(Igbo), Esato(Ikwerre)

9 = Itolu(Igbo), Tolu(Ikwerre)

10 = Iri(Igbo), Ri(Ikwerre)

Any similarities?

I don't understand your intent. Ikwerre's say they are not igbo now, respect them please. Its not by force. Or what do they add to you if they become igbo?

2. I was young in the 90s when Marwa was the governor then, he seemed to be very good. He brought the keke marwa to lagos and was celebrated. Lagos has always had great leaders. Every governor played a part in this and not just BAT.
