You are misunderstanding the functionality of Governance and government for you to assume the president is the pilot of your own existence as a human being. He governs a country and make policies that will enhance and facilitate the well being and progress of the country's citizen, alies and prospects. Your own duty as a citizen is understanding what those policies are, know which role you can play and make your benefit out of it while creating avenues for others to do the same. The government won't give you handout to self sustainability, that is solely your own responsibility. Heaven knows people sell sands in this country and still make a profitable life and livelyhood for themselves and their community.
