The corpse of a missing young man simply identified as Bobo has been discovered dumped by the corner of a river after he was allegedly murdered and his tongue cut off in Ughelli, Delta State.

According to the circulating video made available to Focus Naija, the corpse was discovered floating in the river after the deceased was allegedly arrested on Sunday by local vigilantes.

A source that identified himself as a brother to the deceased contacted our correspondent on WhatsApp thus;

Efforts to reach community leaders for comments to ascertain the authenticity of the claim proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.

Police officers allegedly hit lady’s face with butt of gun in warri, fled after she started bleeding profusely from her nose.

A Nigerian lady simply identified as Rume who is a makeover artist became the recent victim of police brutality after an operative attached to the Ekpan Police Station allegedly hit her face with the butt of a gun and fled the scene with his colleagues after she started bleeding profusely from her nose.

According to reports gathered from the sister of the victim, the runaway operatives stopped the boarded tricycle and ordered the female occupants to come down accusing them of being prostitutes.

A request to search through the victim’s bag degenerated to the assault for supposedly wasting time to comply.

However, female UNIBEN graduate and a humanitarian (name withheld), that was once a victim of police brutality from men of the same division raised an alarm to the human rights community to intervene and demand justice for the victim.

Every effort by Focus Naija to contact the DPO of the Ekpan station for comments into the assault were unsuccessful but ace human rights activist, Isreal Joe was able to reach him and an X-ray was demanded to commence investigation into the brutality.

Sketchy reports from Asaba, the Delta State capital alleges that stray bullet shot by the newly inaugurated security outfit, Operation Delta Hawk has killed a woman in front of her shop and injured another man.

The incident has sparked up outrage across social media as it is barely a month the outfit was inaugurated to combat the rising cases of insecurity and protect lives and properties.

Sequel to the setting ablaze of a young man that was caught with a gun on Sunday in Ekuigbo, Ughelli, another young man is reportedly being burnt at Ekuigbo junction axis of the Ughelli-Patani Expressway.

According to an eyewitness, the young man was apprehended on Wednesday afternoon and an angry mob gathered to lynch him.

In his account, the lynched young man and his gang had attempted to kill someone when they ran out of luck.

A hot chase thereafter led to his arrest and subsequent lynching while others escape.

The eyewitness wrote;
On my way from Warri this afternoon (at about 1:45pm), a saw a crowd gathered at the Ekiugbo junction, along the Ughelli-Patani Expressway.

A young man could be seen in the midst of a burning fire�. I made a brief stop some metres away to know what was happening; a young man told me some suspected cultists had attempted to kill another person (not named) but luck ran out of them.

According to his narrative, the assailants were given a hot chase, leading to the arrest of one of them while the other(s) escaped.

He said the unlucky one was beaten to a pulp before being set ablaze by some angry mob.
Ughelli has been a land of blood since what is widely believed to be a renewed cult war which has claimed no fewer than 20 lives in the last 6 weeks.

It is no longer news that the President of the Anti-Cult Volunteers Corp, Austyne Emu was assassinated over the weekend after honoring an invitation extended by a former DESOPADEC commissioner in Kwale.

HON. IMARHIA CHUKWUKA aka SOCKET has been outstanding and functions far more than his supposed capacity as an SSA to the Governor on Security and Intelligence Gathering. He has been constantly in touch with all existing and visiting security agencies within Ika Nation as well as directly relating with Youths in Ika Nation. His tireless efforts and imbibed strategy in ensuring a safe Delta State should be emulated by any reasonable security appointees.

According to the AVC Director of Intelligence (Oz Odubu) who is from Ndokwa Nation, he repeatedly said, "in Ndokwa Nation, the EA, SSA, SA to the Governor of Delta State are non existing and are surprisingly politically irrelevant but were considered for such sensitive appointments which has endangered the people of Ndokwa Nation. It is better none were appointed than appointing empty vessels to occupy such positions". This applies to most other security appointees from other ethnic nationality within Delta State.

We sincerely appreciate the smart and intelligent working Governor of Delta State (Sen. Dr. Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa) for recently appointing some grassrooted security personnel (ANTICULT UNIT COMMANDERS) in Ika Nation into the Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee as Members. Their track records are open and their recognition with an appointment in their known field of operation shall motivate them to yield more positive results to guarantee the safety of lives and properties within their jurisdiction.

We urge the Delta State Government to act upon this as a matter of urgency and sack every wasteful security appointee. They should be possibly replaced with only those who has the zeal and capacity to function.

The rate of jungle justice meted out on suspected criminals nationwide is becoming alarming as three young men were on Tuesday morning lynched to death in the Okumagba Avenue area of Warri, Delta State.

According to an eyewitness who craved anonymity, two of the criminals were caught by vigilantes last night while the other one making them three was caught this morning around Ojabugbe junction.

They were subsequently set ablaze to the full glare of onlookers, some of whom made videos and captured photos of the incident.

Efforts to reach the police for comment over the lynching proved abortive as the mobile number of the police spokesperson returned unavailable but Divisional Police Officer, “B” Division in Warri, CSP Benjamin Igometi reportedly confirmed the incident to Vanguard in a telephone chat.

"They just called me now that some robbers came to attack in that area and they caught them and they were lynched. That’s what I heard.” he said.

A victim of jungle justice pleaded to be taken to the police station shortly before he was set ablaze on Sunday by an angry mob in Ekuigbo community, Ughelli, Delta State.

The incident is sequel to a riot act that was read to all residents of the community that anybody found with a gun would be severely dealt with following the cases of violent cult killings.

The young man simply identified as Mosco was subsequently apprehended with a shot gun and was captured on a trending video lamenting how he ended his life.

More reports obtained from community sources revealed that other gang members took to their heels and escaped after the deceased was caught with the gun.

The victim before pleading to be taken to the police station said his elder sister had called him not to embark on the illegal movement but the gate of the house was locked.

Head pastor of the Jesus Evangelical Power Mission, Oke Stanley Idogun has narrated how senior colleagues in the ministry attempted to eliminate him by hiring an assassin to kill him during service.

According to the man of God during his sermon on Sunday, a prompting from the Holy Spirit to observe the direction of the young man, lo and behold uncovered a pistol tucked to his waist inside church.

Quick to act, the pastor narrated how he accosted and converted the assassin to Christ as he was in a state of confusion whether to carry out the dastardly act or not.

The assassin kept returning to the church for worship and when he queried about police investigating him, the man of God brushed it off as being free indeed.

He further stated that the young man confessed to him that he was sent to eliminate him by very renowned senior colleagues of the pastor in ministry.

A 13-year-old adolescent has been reportedly assaulted and striped naked by her aunty which is causing a stir online.

According to reports gathered from an eyewitness, the teenager has always been a victim of steady assault in the hands of her aunty who lives in Gboko South, Benue State.

The assault that occurred at about 10:26am on Saturday morning captured the moment that the youngster struggled to cover up her private parts from the glare of onlookers.

A little girl of 13 years staying with her aunty in Gboko-south has always been beaten by her aunty everyday that passes.

Today, 05/12/2020 around 10: 26am the aunty as usual beat her and throw her naked outside the gate and gave her an order to go and collect her clothes from the near by tailor naked for reasons unknown to us. She use a sack (Bagco bag) to cover her self.

I'm writing this as an eye witness. This little girl do receive beating each day passed.

A Nigerian undergraduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, MakurdI simply identified as Nnamdi Jeremiah has gruesomely murdered a lecturer of the same institution by name, Dr. Karl Kwaghger.

According to a press release by the Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, the suspect in an attempt to steal the victim’s car with a dummy gun, stabbed him brutally over his refusal to surrender.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but couldn’t make it as operatives swung into action and arrested the suspect in Abuja where he went to sell the stolen car.

The statement reads;

On 28/11/2020 at about 2120hrs information was received that Dr. Karl Kwaghger, a lecturer with the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi was found in a pool of blood at J.S. Tarka Foundation where he went to relax.

Swiftly, police detectives where deployed to the scene where they met the victim brutally stabbed on his ribs and cut on his neck. The victim was rushed to Bishop Murray Hospital where he was confirmed dead and deposited at the morgue.

During investigation, one Nnamdi Jeremiah 'm’ of Umigwe village, Imo State, a student of Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi was arrested in Abuja where he went to sale the car of the deceased.

The suspect confessed to the crime and further stated that his initial intension was to threaten the victim with a make believe gun and rob the deceased of his car but he ended up killing him because of his resistance and took the car away.

Investigation is in progress.

Four family houses were on Sunday night razed after a young man shot another dead for pushing his mother down in Oteri-Ughelli, Delta State.

Preliminary reports gathered from community sources revealed that trouble started when the deceased engaged in a fight with the culprit’s sister.

The mother was reported to have tried to rescue her daughter from the victim’s grip when he pushed her angrily and she fell.

The deceased was summoned by community leaders and after cross examination, was sanctioned and flogged in the presence of all including the mother that was pushed.

Not satisfied with the beating of his sister and how the matter was settled, the culprit was said to have mobilized his friends and shot the victim at a close range on his way home.

He was rushed to the hospital for treatment but unfortunately gave up the ghost.

His death subsequently caused a ripple effect that led to the razing of four houses belonging to the families of those suspected to be part of the gruesome murder of the promising young man.

Kidnappers Strike In Delta, Whisk Away Passengers Of Fully Loaded Agofure Bus & Occupants Of Private Vehicles (Photos)

There is a report of kidnapping along the Ughelli–Warri road (East–West road), between Ekreravwen Junction and Urhobo House in Agbarho.

According to the report, the incident took place at about 6pm; one of the survivors simply known as "Biggy" said he was on his way to Warri, from Ughelli, when some gun men suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on them.

He said several vehicles were forced to stop while a number of persons, including passengers of an Agofure bus, a red Mercedes Benz GLK and others were immediately marched into the bush by the kidnappers.
