Certain peeps here are saying dangote has bought all the tomatoes. Have you thought about, if this could be an attack on tomato manufacturers by the cabals (tomato importer).
Think about this, if Dangote &erisco whose tomato plants are amongst the biggest in the world starts running fully, it'll shout out business for tomato importers.....80billion naira importation of tomato will just go like that? Haba u sef think naa......I think from a diff perspective, that this could be a ploy from tomato cabals(importers), so as to limit the effectiveness of tomato manufacturers (Dangote & erisco) from full takeoff!

APC knew what they were getting into prior to the presidential election. Oil prices were already dropping with economist projections saying it would drop further. Before the election day, Buhari & his cohorts promised so many things despite being aware of the fall in oil price & depleted reserves. As electorates, are we not to hold our leaders accountable to their words?
All this talk of PMB being unfortunate is baseless, if he knew the condition of nigeria & still went ahead to campaign. Then he knew what he was getting into & so deserves our complain if he doesn't deliver

Not buying your guess bro. Nigeria operates a real interest rate model. This means that at every point in time, the MPR should be higher than the inflation rate in the country. Official sources currently put our inflation rate at 13.78% but in reality, its higher than 20%. This MPR dictates the market rate and will definitely go higher by today's evening hence expect even higher rates in coming weeks.

My prediction of today's MPC outcome;

1. MPR increment from 12% to 14% with a wide band of up to 1000 basis points

2. CRR hike to 50% for both public and private sector funds,

3, Liquidity ratio index of 20%, and

4. Devaluation of the Naira to between 240 and 285. ( or creation of an alternative forex window that allows for two way quotes)

Oops! Wrong wrong speculation everywhere,lol. Its normal. Reality always say something different than theory

Despite the rising rates of t.bills, the monthly yield of fbn money market hasn't been leaping forward as expected. I believe this is why investors pull out massively to seek better options between march & april as you would see in the reduction of the fundsize (pic below).... Anywayz we'll see how the MPC conclusion plays out. CoZ a high interest rate may dampen the growth of the economy because of its high lending rate to manufcturers

When I do my usual comparisms with first bank money market & treasury bills. I ask myself why fbn mmf mangers are not taking advantage of the rising t.bills rate. From the pics I'll upload, you'll find out despite rising rates of t.bills , first bank money market monthly yield isn't keeping up. Their fundsize is shrinking meaning Investors are pulling out funds , so they need to do improve their yields to excite back investors yet they still play meagre in the T.bills market & concerntrating in the already fallen F.deposits. I just weak!!!

As for those predicting high rates for the next t.bills. Judging by the pattern in april & may, it seems the rates for 91days & 182days will be almost the same as that of May19. Only the 364days will leap further. Its my speculation anyways. Although this yet to be concluded MPC meeting will give better insight

Its not the first time nigeria has been in recession although we are not yet in recession but we are at risk of it. To the best of my knowledge, Nigeria has never ever defaulted in treasury bills payment despite going through recession. They can always increase taxes or borrow more to complement their shortfall. Remember our debt-GDP ratio is amongst the lowest in the world, so that stats gives the financial team the courage to even borrow more. Fear not! T.bills is safer than fixed deposit unlike Certain banks that have defaulted in times past

Okorocha has spoken well. For a party that defeated pdp after their 15year reign, they should be doing enough to excite the people so they can dominate the political circle for a long long time to come.
They ought to be exciting the populace, so people should look up to them come next presidential election but as it seems apc seem to be doing the opposite.

Yes very true OP, communiction is key but how you transmit that communication is much more important. We need to be thorough & respectful in communication. For example; just because my wife performs poorly in cooking doesn't mean I'll just say it to her face anyhow.

This is still a speculation& not a certainty. Here is why I said so;
- The deregulation is partial, which means govt are the ones who'll dictate price ranges & not even the oil marketers
- secondly, comparing telecoms to the oil sector is crazy! These telecoms guy were never under a union, they have never done anything collectively unlike these oil marketers. These Major Oil marketers are under a Union (Moman) even the Independent mrkters (IPMAN) they have all in times past collaboratively joined hands to put us in difficulty (scarcity). There is no assurance that they'll not come back in future to collectively sell at a crazy price. That's the power of a United body. Telecoms coy was never under any union!!!
