NimrodEndOfDays:I always laugh when people talk and refer to Dangote as a monopoly!!!. In the late 90's,as a banker,I used to attend Commodities dealers Association meetings in Iddo Market with Dangote in attendance in one or two occasions. He kept saying that he was going to quit commodity trading in a few years and go into production of household goods for daily living. His Colleagues were thinking that the boom in the sector was going to last forever and therefore did not see urgent need to diversify and Today many of them, like Clemco, bicu etc have closed shop.Dangote initially took huge loans from Nigerian banks, built his Industries and a few years later, took advantage of the boom in the Nigerian stock exchange and sold some shares and paid of the Nigerian banks and the rest is history. Today he is building the biggest refinery without any govt support, all the previous refinery licenses have been gathering dust in cupboards in a lot of private offices since 1999.Tommorrow somebody will still shout Dangote Refinery monopoly. |
DSTV Monopoly needs to be broken,it has made it impossible for growth to be achieved locally in that particular sector I refused to agree that it's funding that is keeping the Nigerian players out of the juicy football broadcast because HITV had done it in the past and besides the Nigerian banks currently are better positioned financially to support other local players. Sports broadcasting is a cash cow that you won't have to chase anybody around to achieve results . Finally, will a South African government allowed any Nigerian Company to milk their citizens for this long?. |

If you want to recover your authority, the first thing to do is take your eyes completely off her money/resources. |
The Law of sowing and reaping remains sacrosanct!!!When Adam Oshimole became Governor in Edo State,He fought and humiliated all prominent Edo political Godfathers. He is currently on the receiving side now from his own political Godson. |
You should have registered your displeasure there and then.I don't see how this thread will add any value to the growth of Nigeria as a nation. |
I noticed that most painters here don't buff the vehicles after painting, then the vehicle owners don't use proper carwash detergents in washing the vehicles. |

I guess you are talking about UNILAG, because I think they are the only one that incorporate your jamb score, waec result and post ume score to arrive at a percentage.Have you checked the cut off mark for the course you applied for?to see if 74% should be on merit list. Its only when you make the cut off point and you made the relevant papers in WAEC that the University will send your name to JAMB for admission. This year, you are expected to upload your WAEC results first for JAMB to verify before they could offer you admission. I got this firsthand information because my daughter just got admission to study Law in the same UNILAG and she scored 73.2% while the cutoff mark is 71%.Give further clarifications let me see if I could be of any further assistance to you. |
Talk is indeed very CHEAP!!!!! |
The truth is that I'm our legal system,EFCC will have to have a water tight case against this man to get a conviction. Its not like they will just arrest this man and hound him into jail as many are thinking here. The EFCC that I know may not have the patience to painstakingly investigate cases against this man before rushing to court to prosecute and its here that I think the cases will start stalling and I know that this man has the resources to hire many high profile Lawyers to defend him. I for see an interesting legal drama. |
APC is already suffering polarisation!!! and Presidential election is just 7months away. For me,I think this is a good fight but very wrong timing!.Oshiomole should focus more energy in unifying the party rather than creating a crisis that will give the enemies of the party a leeway to strike |
Impressive, for me this is one of the greatest moments in our Democracy!!!.I wish this could be replicated in all facets of our governance.Senator Bukola Saraki, thank you for displaying this rare mark of statesmanship. This is somebody that have severally in the past invited many top functionaries to the Senate and they had behaved like they are bigger than Nigeria. Thank you Sir for this exemplary conduct. |
Sounds to me like someone is craving validation for a bad behaviour!!! |
God bless you for your gallantry!!! and selflessness. |

Its wrong to announce to the whole world that your Vehicle is bulletproof!!! The security of the vehicle is already compromised. The major essence of armouring a vehicle is to surprise your attackers and foil the attack. |
I wonder how we can categorise this kind of irregular renumeration!!!!1.75m salary with a feeding budget of about 1b. |
whateverkay:You can accuse Igbo's of anything but not Laziness, or economic liability!!!! Empirical evidences show that Igbo's have always enhanced every environment that they found themselves economically. They have their shortcomings though like any other tribe in Nigeria. |
Is this a Movie or what? |
Misplaced priorities!!!! |
Have you looked at it from the perspective that you behave so honorably that everyone around you cannot help but greet you with honour!!! |
The person who put up this post is obviously not conversant with the Chinese automobile Industry. The Chinese Automobile Manufacturers are not like their Europe,America and Japanese counterparts who spend time and resources developing their new unique products but rather the Chinese auto industry is built on COPYING!!!of known brands. If you can commit to buying a reasonable units of a particular Chinese brand, they will put whatever logo that you want.Innoson most probably is sourcing his Semi knocked down parts from the Company that put up the advert.I doubt if he set out to deceive anyone. |
This is what you get when everyone wants to live in Lagos by fire by force. The number of ifesinashi buses shipping in IPOB almajiris to lagos on a daily basis is increasing by the day. These people have no economic plans in Lagos than to become traffic traders and okada riders. Once they are able to afford a room rent, they will start calling Lagos a no man's land like their mad fellows. They claim igboland has the highest mansions in the country yet they cant sit and thrive there. Their success in life is tied to Yoruba states yet they are always ungrateful and call Yoruba names at the least provocations.i support the clamp down on okada riders and fan yogo sellers. After all the population of yorubas riding okada is not up to 5%. These people must be dealt with so they can start respecting their host. The next clamp down should be on Alaba and Ladipo markets. Nonsense
