I was reasoning with the story till the massacre rewrite. How do you claim victim when your own people overthrew the government, slaughtered other people including defenseless pregnant women and the head of state played tribalism and refused to do anything to the perpetrators/His kinfolks, There's always a reaction waiting to challenge every action. Obviously, ibo people never learn their lesson.

Kalu can be forgiven to fight the bigger fight, and later when the battle is won, You can settle it internally.

Dont let another group dictate who your leaders should be. Support someone that supports Igbo first and not someone who only look for his own pocket
We uphold Kalu when he fights for Ndigbo. This is through his involving with our organizations such as Ohanaeze.Help correct their wrong. Do building with Igbo events. Not when he is going for personal ambitons for president or governor. That is how we know we is apart of our plight. And as for him as president,no. He's not sell-able to the rest of the country even if we were to forgive him of his sins.

I hope you all are right. Because my heart is saying we Igbos are in trouble. A dark miasma is surrounding Igboland and it needs to be cleared. Our people are already being killed in droves in the North. Yet our leadership remains silent. We Igbos need a leader to stand up for us. Ojukwu is too sick and old to lead us. We need a vibrant leader. One who hasn't been touched by the taint of corruption. One who is not willing to sell us out for political expediency.
What Aunty Dora has just now did was grab the bull by its horn. He do not have those positions now.So by her doing what she just did it will give us one of those of those positions(hopefully Senate president) by grace. We are on the up. cool

My brother come to your senses. I will not give up on you. You know I used to enjoy reading your post, but now I cringe with everything you have been saying lately. Remember who your brothers and sisters are. We will love you regardless. I even defended you when you were labeled a tribalist if you have forgotten.

Yes you were right in the past. But you must look to Igbo interest only. If we cannot look to our own interest, who will? We are surrounded by enemies. who would love to see us fall. We must be on the same page. A unite front, because I fear we the Ndi Igbo are about to see dark days.
No Ezeuche, he is wrong.Yes we should support him but the only ones he should be trying to impress is us.These other people are irrelevant. Go back to the thread of the days leading to the complete sack of ogbulafor. We were in support of another candidate that did not have fraud hanging over his head like Nwodo did. That's a Fact. When it comes to zoning, we were against friendship and promises but instead we were for Igbo interest, and that is FACT. As for the endorsement, we rejoiced on Igbo unity against a plan of opression to be wheeled out on us by IBB and Atiku. We succeeded. As For Buhari/Ribadu, we the Igbo went against the position of any Igbo son taking the position of Vp to a northerner, and if Buhari/Ribadu  picks a SWesterner then we have succeeded. Abagrowo wake up and smell the folgers in ur cup.We are succeeding.Auty Dora has just added might to the movement.

I already edited my post.

With GJ as our president 2011 and beyond, their would be nothing like," the Sw deserves the position or anything". It is now every man or region for themselves and the highest population or should I say land mass (because of the north) wins. Therefore, from now on, it would be north, SW,SE  and SS in that order.

Although, I am not saying Atiku would have zoned any position to igbo or yorubas or anyone but I think the idea of "we deserve this" died with Yaradua (God bless his soul). MO
At the bolded that order doesn't exit. And to your last sentence, I wish it were that way but merit is based off of a person who deserves. The person who deserves should be based on knowlege and/or experience, and off of some sort of competitive test.
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Kicks Against Southwest For Senate President by Chyz2(op): 1:40am On Jan 28, 2011
jason123:
If the SW person was more qualified than her then why is she complaining? Why is she complaining about igbo not in the "equation" since we are now appointing people based on "merit". Basically, she was referring too zoning. She wants the sente presidency to be "zoned" to Ndigbo and her.
She never said she was going for Senate President. And assuming she was running for that spot, who says whichever SW person that may be was better qualified than her or anybody else. Nope she was n't refering to zoning at all, that is why I was wondering where you got that from. And nope again what she is saying is that she is hoping that the FG is not going about in a way where all majority tribes are being given major positions but Ndigbo. And if it is based off merit then after Mark is thrown out the door the deputy(Ike Ekweremadu) should be up for that position,or something or that sort would be based off merit.Due to experience I believe. This may be the result of the SS(Ijaw) trying to get into the mainstream of politics to the detriment of Ndigbo.Just my thoughts though.

I thought Igbos want positions in the country to be based on merit? They want us to do away with the federal character shenanigans  undecided. And this shows that most igbos still believe in Zoning then why do some igbos still want GJ?
Who said anything about zoning?

Adimike George 28/01/2011 00:00:00

FORMER Minister of Information and Communications and the senatorial candidate for Anambra Central on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Dora Akunyili, has kicked against the alleged plan to make the Southwest produce the next Senate President.

Speaking at Dunukofia Local Government Area yesterday, during Iyom Christy Okoye’s declaration for APGA, Mrs. Akunyili said the arrangement would spell doom for the people of the Southeast.

She said: "I want to believe the report by the media was incorrect. If it is correct, it means that the Igbos are no longer in the country’s equation. If we are not President, we are not Vice- President, we are not Senate President and we are not Speaker, where are we?"

She urged the Southeast to stand up against what she described as neglect of Ndigbo.

She said: "It has happened before. I believe this time around, it should not if we really believe in one Nigeria."

The former minister enjoined women to register in the voter registration exercise.

Senator Joy Emodi advised the people of the zone to register ahead of the 2011 April election.

Iyom Okoye said her decision to join APGA was informed by the passion she had for women and the state.

Btw Chyz,

read these articles. My people already know about this.

The meeting also acknowledged the historical, social and political ties over the years of the two groups and expressed joy at the renewal of these old ties. While resolving to strengthen the bond and age-long ties between their various groups and to have the Itsekiri people represented at all future meetings of Afenifere, Afenifere said it was in recognition of the fact that the "Itsekiri are a sub-set of the Yoruba ethnic stock, like the Akure, the Ijebu, etc, and that whatever fate befalls the Itsekiri affects all Yoruba."The meeting further acknowledged the need for unity of all the Progressives in Nigeria and believes that the unity of the Western Progressives is a prerequisite for the larger unity. We resolved that Afenifere members will also attend future meetings of the Itsekiri Leaders of Thought," Afenifere said.

another https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-312145.0.html

Lagos — Against the continued mayhem being unleashed by the warring factions of the Ijaws and Itsekiris in the Niger Delta area of Delta State, the Yoruba group, Afenifere has strongly condemned the Ijaw youths' alleged unprovoked attacks against the Itsekiris.

The group, in a statement made available to THISDAY by Mr. Yinka Odumakin, the group's National Administrative Secretary, further warned that any future attack on the Itsekiris would be regarded as an attack on the Yoruba nation, which would in turn attract the full wrath and fury of the Yoruba.

http://allafrica.com/stories/200303240440.html

and it continues . . .

Do you now see why I say I am more inclined to the yorubas than NDelta?
I feel you.I hope Afenifere will resist there attempt of domination through state creation. The really pushed the envelope thinking that Amaechi and Ohanaeze are going to allow them take Port Harcourt a.k.a Igwe Ocha. So area names such as Umu and Rumu are all ijaw now? B@stards indeed.

P.S:CAN YOU REMEMBER WHEN I WAS TALKING ABOUT THIS IJAW EXANSIONIST AGENDA? Now, you see? undecided
Jason, if you can spread the news to some itsekiri groups then do so.With GJ as president, they might just get what they want. One thing that the Itsekiri do not want to do is be trapped in the same country with the people. We don't want those those people with us either, they are better off by themselves.

Since we are talking about states and creations and whatever here.I taught you all might want to have a look at the type of bullshit that the Ijaws are trying to do with there state creations. They are trying to grab the some of Itsekiri land and also grab Port Harcourt(Igbo land). I swear these people and their expansionism is really annoying.

Look at the bullshit

WHEREAS the various conferences called for the creation of three homogeneous Ijaw States then, we are today, with the strength of evidence from the recent “Retreat” of the Senators to the Niger Delta, calling for the Creation of four more homogenous Ijaw States including, BENI-EBE State comprising the Ijaws of Lagos, Ondo and Edo States with Arogbo as Capital, TORU-EBE State comprising the Ijaws of Delta State with Bomadi as Capital, KENGEMA State, grouping the Degema Communities, Asari Toru Communities, Akuku Toru Communities, Bille Communities, Kula Communities, Aguda Toru Communities, Owuanga Toru communities, Olua Toru Communities, Akilama Toru Communities, Abisse/Ke Communities, Sombreiro Communities and Kalabari Toru Communities with Capital at Degema, and ABAJI State comprising the rest of the Ijaws in Rivers and Akwa Ibom States, encompassing Port Harcourt, Okrika, Ibani, Andoni, Opobo and Nkoro, and related groups with Capital at Port Harcourt; and
