Whoever is best thought by the people to serve Abia best, then that is who will win. We Igbos don't let someone rule just 'cause. . . . It is not in our nature. We always want a piece in on the action. May the best man/woman win.

Katsumoto:
As at January 1966, there were 330 officers in the Armed Forces.

Igbo   (Other South) Yoruba   North      Total
104       43                  67          116      330

Using the numbers above, Igbo had approximately 30% in the armed forces.

There were 25 coup plotters in the January 66 coup who were officers; 21 were Igbo (I can provide the list if you want it). Which means Igbo contributed 84% of officers. Of the four who were non-Igbo, three were junior officers(lieutenants). If your agreement were to be accepted, Igbo should have only contributed 30% of coup plotters.

Source: Robin Luckham, The Nigerian Military: A Sociological Analysis of Authority and Revolt, 1960-67 (Cambridge: At the University Press 1971):231.

Please list the Igbo elders who were killed in jan 66 or the Northerners who were coup plotters.

It is disingenuous to include NCOs as part of the coup plotters since NCOs only follow orders. For instance, Nzeogwu murdered sgt Oyeleke who refused to fire shots at Bello's house. Try to be informed before passing factually inaccurate information to others.
Factually inaccurate how, exactly? Explain, because you run your mouth too much and with bias. You can never prove this to be an Igbo coup, ever.Especially not with other officers participating in it. So you try to be informed and unbias. So in order for it not to have been an Igbo plot, what percentage was best to render it not being an Igbo coup? Also among senior officers, how many northern, western,MW, and eastern officers were killed respectively?

Bernard Ogedengbe was one of three young men – the others were Lawal Ojuolape (30) and Bartholomew Owoh (26) – executed by firing squad under the orders of General Buhari, not for armed robbery or murder, but for being couriers of some illicit drug (cocaine or so).

Wont these continue?
How is that a bad thing? huh

Exactly, you'd render whatever proof that I have useless because it doesn't support your bias and useless claimcheesy. I am curious to find out how you came up with your assumption which caused me to reply you.Provide your proof and source. O and umm, northerners committing a massacre 6 months after their "beloved" religious leader is killed instead of the next day or even within that same month, highly unlikely. If he was most beloved by them and the emirs didn't think the failed coup was nationalistic they definitely would have sent their people to slaughter Igbos right after Saudana was killed.Believe that. Every nigerian knows the hausas don't waste time when it comes to riots. Riot 6 months later?!lol

Anyways go back to my other post and get it crackin.

Yup! Thats why every Hausa and they moms was feinding for Ibo blood (instead of a "Nationalistic" one) in July'66?!

Yeah, maybe if they came from Medellin or Bogota!

Scat now, punk!

Fuxcking history revisionists!
So would you like me to provide the proof from a non-nigerian or a nigerian? And which of the proofs will stop you from calling it lies or bias? Also, I would like your proofs also because you are the one who brought up the claims. Source to pls.

And, where did Katsumoto lie? Were Ibos not the executioners of the coup? Wasnt it an Ibo attempt to hold on to Power? Was it a matter of "statistical concidence and not tribalistic inclinations" that led to ONLY Non-Ibo leaders being killed by Ibo Coup plotting officers, too? Oh, throw in Ademoyega right after insinuating Nzeogwu aint from Eastern Nigeria?

And you wonder why everyone thinks yall a buncha deceitful, blood, thirsty thugs! Try telling the truth for once!

Wonder why no one in the current Nigerian Presidential elections chose a Ibo running mate, as much as they begged and schemed for it? Freaking race of deceitful cowards!
Neither the Ibos or the Igbos were the executions of the coup but men from various nigerian ethnic groups. The Igbos happened to be the most in numbers. However the soldiers that carried it out were were almost entirely northrners.

Igbo leaders not being killed, um, a bunch of BS.Igbo leaders were also killed. And to think Ademoyega was the only yoruba in the nationalist coup,is highly dumb. Also, when it came to numbers with in the coup plotters the northerners came in second. Hmmm, some "Igbo" coup indeed.

Nzeoqwu was from the Midwest. Asaba to be exact.Just thought you should know.

An Ibo attempt to hold on power, idk. An Igbo attempt to hold on to power, no. Everybody and they mama knew that the failed Nzeogwwu coup was a nationalistic coup. This is more of a reason why there were no riots carried out after it.

Deceitful, blood, thirsty thugs? Um,no.Pull down your skirt. Igbos- greedy, Yorubas- deceitful, Hausas- blood thirsty. Um,yea, that is the stereo type in nigeria, where are you coming from.ha ha.

Cowards? Purely stereotyped to yorubas, even your mama would tell ya that, boy.

a people living in western and southwestern Nigeria (10 to 12 million persons in 1972, according to rough estimates); Dahomey (more than 200, 000 persons), where they are called the Nago or Anago; and Togo, where a small number lives.

The ethnic Yoruba groups include the 6yo, Ife, Ijesha, and Egba. They all consider themselves a single people and have a single culture. They speak the Yoruba language, which has a number of dialects. The Yoruba language has its own literature; newspapers are published in the language, and it is used for instruction in the schools. Islam and Christianity coexist among the Yoruba, along with a polytheism with a well-developed pantheon of gods. States existed among the Yoruba long before the arrival of Europeans in West Africa (in the 15th century). The Yoruba were the creators of remarkable bronze and terra-cotta sculptures that flourished from the 12th to the 14th century and that were possibly associated with the more ancient Nok culture (end of the first millennium b.c.). The Yoruba art of bronze-casting was taken up by the Benin peoples. The chief occupation of the Yoruba is farming (yams, cacao). Among the Yoruba, developing capitalist relations are closely intertwined with strong survivals of earlier social structures.

On #5. In my post, I said, "Creation of a 6th state for the SE to level with other zones in the federation. This means that whatever number of states in other zones will be reciprocated in the SE.

On #6. Anyi amago ife ga-eme echi. Nigeria enweghi isi n'odu. If its left like that, we're not better off as a state because our allocation is low. If its explored, benefit would surely come our way in terms of funds. Already, there's a private refinery springing up there.

On #8. Eventhough we showed ourselves to be resilient and turned out to be once again successful and all that, we still need that compensation. It wouldn't alter any historical knowledge of the successful and enterprising nature of Ndigbo. (The jews have been well compensated for the holocaust despite their similarity with Ndigbo).
#5.True word.

#6.  The equal amount of state can take care of that.We loves billions, i heard trillions,to other regions due to our only having 5 states.

#7. The Jews got reparations in the U.S., which the holocaust never happened at not in germany. We Biafrans got a market area name Biafra in Cameroun,so I've heard, due to Camerouns appreciation for the Igbos in their country and the salute to our hard struggle that we put up in the civil war. But I definitely feel you bro.

1) A second niger bridge with 2 or more lanes on it.

2) Sorting of the issue of abandoned properties of PH.

3) Building a new international terminal at Enugu airport.

4) Finishing the Onitsha Riverport.

5) [s]Creation of a 6th state for the SE to level with other zones in the federation. [/s]

6) [s]Recognition of Anambra as an oil producing state which will come with benefits which other ND states enjoy such as increased Fed. allocation[/s].

7) Building of power stations at Enugu to be powered by coal and natural gas respectively which would supply the SE and most of the SS with electricity.

8  [s]Compensation of affected Ndigbo who had significant* cash in their bank accounts prior to the civil war. Though it might be cumbersome and illogical to do so, I'll settle for economic packages for the SE and SS to compensate them for the civil war and environmental pollution of their areas respectively.
[/s]
9) Checkmating the erosion crisis ravaging the SE.
--------------------------------------------------------------
* = at least £1000 or more.
--------------------------------------------------------------

These are not too much to ask (or demand). I'll vote for anyone who would ensure these demands. Even Awo can have my vote from the grave as far as these demands are assured.
#5. Never give a exact number of states. It is better to ask for the equal amount as every other region. If all have 6 already and you all are given one more, which is likely to happen, you will still be marginalized. All will have 7 or 8 while you just have 6.

#6.Its better the oil stays untapped,"Onye ma echi".

#8. We showed ourselves to be resilient and we were able to elevate ourselves from the ashes to once again be the most wealthiest tribe in nigeria. Our ethnic story of From rags to riches is embedded in the history books. We need no reparations.

We must reiterate that, the records show that Itsekiris cannot expect justice, freedom from intimidation and fair play in Delta State Since 1926, some Uhrobos who have settled in Warri, with the support of some of their kinsmen outside the boundaries of the Itsekiri Kingdom, have
schemed to undermine Itsekiri culture and institutions and have tried to use judicial, extra judicial and violent means to take ownership of Itsekiri land.

From 1952, Itsekiris have experienced periodic violence, arson and mayhem from some Uhrobos. Past unprovoked attacks on the Itsekiri and their property in many Urhobo towns and villages and their mass expulsion from those areas, virtually terminated the existence, even till today, of resident Itsekiri communities in the Urhobo hinterland. There was also the incident of the premeditated attack in 1976 by the people of Ekpan (Urhobo) on the ancient Itsekiri town of Ubeji and its people in a unclothed attempt to acquire, by force of arms, ownership of Ubeji land on which the Warri refinery is located. The matter was later investigated by the Justice Omosun
Commission, which found the Ekpan people to be the aggressors. The list of attacks against the Itsekiris is endless.

On the 29th October 1999, we have history repeating itself for the Itsekiris - unprovoked, premeditated attack on the Itsekiri town of Ajagbodudu by the people of Ogharefe ( Urhobos) in a unclothed attempt to acquire by force of arms, ownership of Ajagbodudu.

Odua republic! The reasons are:

1) I am not for southern Nigeria because you cannot have two kings in a place. The reason why Nigeria has partially worked is because it is an asymmetric society with 3 major tribes. If one leaves, the other two would gang up and bring that one back
2) I am not for Niger-delta republic because I do not support the ijaw expansionist agenda and the massacre on my people
3) I am not for Nigeria because it is a time bomb waiting for the slightest agitation

All in all, I am for Odua republic. Atleast, there is nothing like "core" yoruba which I like. Although, they are tribalist but I can live with that since they always practice a loose confederation of nation anyway undecided.
You are such a hypocrite. Now that a yoruba man has come out and said the same thing that we Igbos have been saying all of a sudden he is correct. On the other hand you continued to condemn us for making the same exact remarks.

Bow you are asking for oduduwa republic but just the other day you said NIGERIA WILL STAY TOGETHER, NOBODY IS GOING ANYWHERE! As soon as you heard about Igbos talking about Biafra. Also, if the yorubas are tribalist like you say, why would they ever completely welcome you into their countries as equals.Do you think they will elect for president someone with the last name Uagbor(an Itsekiri name) over an Adekoye? Please, for the sake of fairness and to kill hypocrisy, speak no more condemnation of Igbos/Ibibios when they talk about wanted to be in Biafra or create there own country.

I agree. It is not a muslim thing. These people all really taking out Ahmedu Bello's wish of "Conquest to the sea". I think we should start contacting our leader via email, etc. MASSOB has a website,I think. OPC has a website, I have been on it. We can't let this get out of hand. These soldiers are showing no fear of authority(GJ). They are really out to take over.
