@mbatuku2, don't mind those omos. They are living in a how do say, virtual reality, lol. |
You all are even more dumb than your pipe-dream.sons and daughters of oduduwo? How are you all sons and daughters of someone who came after your tribe already existed?lol. Dummies. |
Pipe dream. |
Ileke-IdI:Actually I like Patience Jonathan's Igbo dialect. It's really different, although her Ijaw accent is hard to hide, lol. |
Ileke-IdI:oooowww big bad Idi,lol. We are scared. Seun come save us before its too late. |
Ileke-IdI:Amadioha ma gbukwe gi! So you went back and changed your write up,lol. I guess next time I'll make sure I capture what you write in quotes. Lesson learned, lol. I didn't know that my right ups and you trying to prove me wrong could get to you this much. Igbo Kwezuenu! ![]() |
Ileke-IdI: Ileke-IdI:I at least thought you would come back with something to prove what I said was wrong, but instead, you lashed out with anger and couldn't put up an argument. Nice. ![]() |
She probably was talking too much, or worst of all, talking back. |
Ileke-IdI:Like I thought, you can find an article proving your CLAIM. You didn't assume anything, you CLAIMED. Orisirisi. |
Ileke-IdI:Maybe you can't read well or maybe you can read but have a quite bad analytical skills. Take into note that the article only conveyed the number of lunatics that were deported back to neighboring countries, but, it did not give us the number of beggars deported back to those various countries. Also, the 3000+ number includes lunatics that were also deported to various states within nigeria, but, the number of lunatics were not given. I don't blame you though, at least not completely, because the author(who happens to be yoruba), is poor in grammar. I don't even know why the article was allowed to be published without review. |
Ileke-IdI:Ok, point made. Now, show me where Governor Obi and Aunty Dora said that "ACN is a yoruba party". One of your arguments was that are own politicians claimed ACN to be a yoruba party, abi? Now show the proof. |
Ileke-IdI:Nowhere in the article says that they were Igbo. That's not the case your people though. ![]() |
^^^Now, lets get the actual article with both Obi and Aunty Dora saying "ACN is a Yoruba Party", even though,if they did say it, they are right. |
henry101:dude, you still pay this guy mind? ![]() |
Ileke-IdI:The way you write looks and sounds familiar. I'll just leave it at that. Anyway, back to your comment, ethnic bigoted attitude how? So because we didn't vote for ACN it makes us ethnic bigots? Bad logic. How about the candidates that PDP had to offer were better. Also, do keep in mind, SE PDP was not as bad as your PDP. Last time I heard Anambra and Imo booted PDP out of their states, so what are you talking about? . Also, was ethnicity the same reason why the SW voted for GEJ, or are you saying that it was rigged like you claim was done in the SE?As for 2015, I'm not so into the whole Igbo presidency thingy. I'm more of the type that feels if the current president is getting things done, why can't he do another term. Another thing, Alliances will be built by all and any. I can tell you this, the Igbo presidential candidate will not run under PDP so thats not a problem. |
This could be a good move to scuttle obasanjos doings of the sw retain speakership, if they support the northern candidate into the speakership position then decamp to APGA. It'll teach GJ and PDP a lesson, especially the non-northerners. |
Speakership: S’West Endorses Muraina, But Who is He? 13 May 2011 By Imam Imam in Lagos and Sheriff Adekunle in Abeokuta The tricky nature of zoning reared its head Thursday as the South-west Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) endorsed relatively unknown Hon. Ajibola Saubana Muraina for the No. 4 position in Nigeria – the speakership. But he will face the battle of his life as Northern lawmakers have resolved to ditch the zoning formula of the ruling party and present a candidate, while the aggrieved South-east zone, which initially wanted the position, has resolved to support whoever is presented by the Northern caucus. The South-west caucus met at the residence of former President and Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and endorsed Muraina, following the decision of the PDP hierarchy to retain the position in the zone even though the party was roundly trounced in the South-west in the general election. A source close to the meeting told THISDAY that Muraina, who represents Ibarapa Central/North, Oyo State federal constituency, was endorsed because of what they called the lawmaker’s “sterling qualities”. According to source, “Having an experienced legislator like Muraina, lobbying and politicking will not be strange. He will not just be learning to climb the rope.” The meeting had in attendance all former and outgoing governors of the South-west, except the Ogun State governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel. Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala and his deputy, Taofeek Arapaja; former governors Segun Agagu and Olagunsoye Oyinlola; the party’s governorship flag bearer in Ogun, Adetunji Olurin, his running mate, Tunde Oladunjoye; and his Lagos State counterpart, Dr. Ade Dosunmu, were also in attendance Others include the Ogun State Chairman of the Jonathan/ Sambo Campaign Organisation, Joju Fadairo; Director General, Segun Sowunmi; Chairman of Omo Ilu Foundation, Buruji Kashamu; former Lagos Deputy Governor, Rafiu Jafojo; Titilayo Ajanaku; and Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, among others. Muraina, a second-term lawmaker, is a lawyer. Born in Igbo-Ora on September 1, 1963, Muraina had his primary education at the Ansur-ud-Deen Primary School, Igbo-Ora between 1971 and 1976, and studied at the Methodist Grammar School, Igboo-Ora between 1977 and 1981. He bagged LL.B from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ille-Ife, in 1987 and attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. He also holds a Master’s at Law from the University of Abuja. He was first elected into the House of Representatives in 2007. He served as Oyo State Legal Adviser to the defunct United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP), All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and National Legal Adviser of United Nigeria Party ( UNP ) and was Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government between 2002 and 2003. Meanwhile, as part of the calculation for the next dispensation, members-elect of the House of Representatives from the North have resolved to back a ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwwal, for speakership. Tambuwal, who is presently the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, represents Kebbe/ Tambuwal Federal Constituency of Sokoto State and has just been elected for a fourth term in the Green Chamber. If the politicians go ahead with the plan to push for Tambuwal's candidature, the Northern lawmakers will be going against the leaders of the PDP whose enlarged national caucus Wednesday zoned the office of the Speaker to the South-west geo-political zone. Speaking to THISDAY, a member of the House of Representatives said they had decided to proceed with the decision to produce the next speaker irrespective of the party's wishes because they believe as democrats, they should be allowed to decide who rules them. The lawmaker said his colleagues from the North, who were sympathetic to the demands by the South-east to produce the next speaker, felt the party did not do justice by allocating the position to the South-west. "The party's decision clearly showed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo used his influence to allocate the position to a region that did not support the PDP in the last elections. Many of them felt there was no point rewarding non-performance hence their decision to back Tambuwal for the top job," the lawmaker added. A member representing Maradun/Bakura federal constituency of Zamfara State, Hon. Bello Matawalle, said what was of paramount concern to the lawmakers was to ensure unity, stability and progress of the House. http://www.thisdayonline.com/ |

Igbo language school takes off in Anambra Published on 12 May 2011 ODOGWU EMEKA ODOGWU, Awka GOVERNOR Peter Obi has laid the foundation for the N60m Ogbalu Igbo Language School. The institution is located at Prof. Kenneth Dike Central Library, Awka. The Ceremony also witnessed the inauguration of Committee on Igbo Language headed by Prof. Pita Ejiofor and the presentation of the Law on Igbo language. Obi disclosed that the amount was raised through donation from people. Speaking at the ceremony, Obi charged all Igbo sons and daughters to speak Igbo to one another as a means of deepening the races unity and preserving the language that was at the verge of extinction. "If your brother enter your office, speak Igbo to him", he admonished Igbo top office holders. On why the school was named after Ogbalu, the Governor said it was time Igbo nation made conscious efforts to rediscover their values by, among others, celebrating role models that lived for the people such as Ogbalu, Prof. Kenneth Dike and prof. Chike Obi did. The Governor announced a cash donation of N500,000 to Ogbalus wife, lady Evelyn who was present at the occasion, which he said was for the good deeds her husband did for the Igbos. He also said that he would donate a vehicle to the Committee on Igbo language next week and that in three weeks time money would be made available to all the schools in the State to build libraries. He also reiterated the annual cash donation of N200,000, N250,000, and N100,000 to the three best Igbo students in Igbo quiz as well as scholarship to three best students in Igbo language in WAEC. Earlier, the Deputy Gov. Emeka Sibeudu, who presided at the event before the Governor came in charged Igbo to love their language and those at the Diaspora to teach Igbo to their children. In his remarks, the Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Pita Ejiofor said that with what Gov. Obi did today, that Igbo language had resurrected form dead. In his vote of thanks, the representative of Ogbalu family, Chief Samuel Ogbalu said that Gov Obi had given more support to the promotion of Igbo language than any other leader in Igbo land and prayed for the fruitfulness of all his efforts. http://www.champion.com.ng/displaycontent.asp?pid=6733 |
Al-Qaeda: Make no deal with US, David-West warns FG From HENRY CHUKWURAH, Port Harcourt Friday, May 13, 2011 The Federal Government has been warned to jettison any plan to sign a security pact with the United States of America to enable the latter establish a military base in Nigeria for hunting down Al Quaeda elements in the country. This is because of the inherent dangers of such arrangement to national security and the country’s sovereignty. Former petroleum minister, Professor Tam David-West said in an interview with Daily Sun that Nigeria would become vulnerable to subversion if the Nigerian government decided to go ahead with the arrangement. “I will, with all seriousness and patriotism, caution Nigerian government not to unreservedly open their doors to American Intelligence to use Nigeria as a base to track down alleged Al Quaeda elements in Nigeria. “I am saying this for some reasons. About 10 years ago, America wanted to open FBI station in Nigeria. I wrote against it and opposed it and the government never went ahead to sign the pact. “Going down memory lane, soon after our independence in 1960, Britain wanted to sign an Anglo-Nigeria Defence Pact. The students of University of Ibadan marched to the parliament and stopped the Bill because it was dangerous and Balewa’s government never signed the Bill. “The reason is simple. When a Third World Country goes to sign so-called Defence Pact or set up a so-called Intelligence Base within the country, they necessarily compromise their sovereignty in the interest of the super power and it is because they can use the same so-called Intelligence to subvert any government within the country. So, the Federal Government should be very careful in entering any pact with the United States.” Recalling that the Nigerian government committed a similar security goof a few years ago when America minded the security of the nation’s airports, Prof. David-West said any government that could not guarantee its country’s security was useless. “A few years ago, airports security was given to America. What kind of sovereign state are we? A government that cannot guarantee security in its country, both internal and external security, is totally useless and should be got rid of. This is because our sovereignty depends on managing our own affairs by ourselves.” The professor emeritus recalled that after Algeria became independent, France used the same trick to establish a military base, which it later used to subvert the Algerian government. Consequently, he warned that, “Nigeria should never go into any security pact with America because it will expose us to international attack.” http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/may/13/national-13-05-2011-010.html |

Okorocha freezes Imo accounts Friday, May 13, 2011 Tension is rising once more in Imo State following reports that the campaign office of the state Governor-elect, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has frozen all the state government accounts with banks in the state. Investigations reveal that Chief Okorocha’s Chief of Staff, Prince Eze Madumere, wrote a letter to all the banks dealing with the state government placing embargo on the accounts until the governor-elect, is sworn in on May 29, 2011. Investigations further reveal that this move, which many analysts have described as an illegality is wrecking havoc in the state especially as civil servants in the state are yet to receive their April salaries. Sources close to some of the banks in Owerri reveal that cheques issued by the state government for the payment of workers salaries were dishonoured by the banks. The latest development, according to investigations, is once more raising the political temperature in the state which dipped following a statement by the out-going governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim accepting the outcome of the election and declining going to court to challenge it despite some perceived irregularities. Some observers wonder why the governor-elect, whose aides are no signatories to the said government accounts would allow such a move that has the potentials of grounding the state or indeed jeopardizing his own swearing in ceremonies which will have to be midwife by the sitting administration. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/may/13/national-13-05-2011-002.html |
@ileke idi, first off, I'm guessing tribalism is what made the sw vote for GJ too, right? If we didn't vote for GJ then who else would have been a better choice? Oderemi Buhari? I think we all know his regard for lives he was sworn to protect. Your right up makes no sense. As for the whining,I am a tactic thinker. I give tactics to take when there is a screw up but me,chyz, neva dey whine. Go thru my post and read obinrin. |
Ezeuche, you know our women, they don't need a red cap to insinuate strength, they just show it. If the SE politicians accept this treatment and don't decamp to apga then its clear that they are shameless crumb pickers. Whatever outcome they get as a result of not leaving PDP is their own wahala. I think then I will just go back to being ukwuani and not associate with SE politics. |
Calculia you are right, but, our polticians are naïve and weak apart from the women, which are few in number. Our strength is in our women but the seats are dominated by men. The obvious is there, leave PDP for your regional party since you are not respected. Any who, this should teach the se politicians a lesson and have them embarrassed for their non-actions.why wouldn't any sane poltician from an opposite group not take advantage of a people who they know will not do anything but instead take the disrespect and disregard with content? |
Ileke-IdI:Maybe you should do a little more reading before you comment. This is for the Edo State House of Assembly Speakership, not the National Assembly. |
