Gbawe: Indeed. Most do not appreciate , because of poor political sophistication, that there is a lot of "lost in translation" interpretation over what men like Tinubu and Ngige do and say. Ultimately , the end justifies the means . Tinubu is justified today . I think we will see , in future, that Ngige has the personality , exposure and germane outlook , pertinent to National politics, to shape SE political ideology positively . Pretty bold words, especially from someone who has never spoken so gallantly about Ngige before his joining ACN. It's clear that people are only good in your(yorubas) eyes if they conform to your ways/entities.Funny. |

zstranger: You are a mo/r/on
Pray tell, who founded PDP?
Mention the illustrious Igbo man, good enough, and capable enough to found a credible well organized national party?
FYI, PDP was founded mostly by the Northerners. The manifesto was written 'SOLELY' by an illustrious Yoruba son. The biggest financier of PDP are northerners. Just because they make you PDP chairman at one time or the other in no way make PDP an Igbo party. If at all anything, it is an Hausa party.
What a m/o/r/o/n.
The only igbo parties that are doing fairly well are PPA and APGA, which are nothing more than secondary school asscociations ACN is already having in-fighting and you dare talk about other parties. |

is it not silly igbos that ordinary small hausa boy dey turn into suya meat for north . why dont u fight there.
but okay. make we see what will happen. when war breaks out again. if u think u can take over lagos, we go see who is bigger and stronger, hausa or yoruba man. Never said the Hausas won,but clearly if they were in equal amount it would have been another story. All of you you(yoruba) would have turned into maurice greene. As far the Ijaw, they sacked your Oba,set your homes on fire and made like 5 or more neighboring villages run helta skelta like chickens with their heads cut off. I can gladly resurrect the thread if you'd like. I am the one who posted it. And why would you want war in lagos. |

Hmmm. . . But I thought you said. . . ‘ACN’ll not turn down ministerial offer from Jonathan' Written by Sam Nwaoko, Ado-Ekiti
Wednesday, 04 May 2011
THE chairman of Ekiti State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Chief Olajide Awe, has said the party will not turn down President Goodluck Jona-than if he calls for ministerial nominees from the party for the new Federal Executive Council (FEC).
The Ekiti ACN boss said any such request from the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would be considered in the spirit of government of national unity.
Chief Awe also advised the presidential candidate of the party at the last general election, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, not to defect to Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), following his defeat in the presidential election, especially in the South-West.
Addressing newsmen during a “thank you” rally held in Ado-Ekiti, on Monday, Chief Awe said President Jonathan had endeared himself into the hearts of all Nigerians, by giving Professor Attahiru Jega and his team in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) the wherewithal to conduct free, fair and credible elections.
“I know the leadership of ACN cannot fraternise with the PDP because the party is devilish.
“But the personality of President Jonathan is different. He is humble, humane and trustworthy, having allowed INEC to conduct free and fair elections.
“So, our party may decide to appoint ministerial nominees to serve in his government if the president requests for it,” he said.
He, however, said those who would be considered for appointments would not suffer a fate similar to that of the late Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, who was murdered while serving as minister and, at the same time, leader of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) which was in control of the South-West.

ekt_bear: The poverty rate stuff is probably because so many people leave. Like, large scale immigration from Mexico to the US has likely poverty rates there. . .those guys leaving would otherwise be doing nothing productive.
I dunno. The four most important states economically important states in Yorubaland (Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo) are under competent management for at least the next four years. So if they do things properly, we'll be able to reduce the gap economically between us and the SS. . . all w/o this additional oil derivation.
Anyway, we shall see. We'll see. I definitely not again you all's progression. The influx of Igbos back to the East after the Niger River port is finally up and running will definitely have things booming in the East(Anioma included). It'll allows give you all more room to do what ya do in SW, since there would be less Igbos. |

ekt_bear: SW vs SE economically? SW minus Lagos has a higher GDP than the SE, if one believes the data from this Canback database. Add Lagos on top and the difference becomes overwhelming. GDP, ABC, BBD don't matter. As long as we have a lower poverty rate(which we do), that is enough to seal the deal,to me. The whole point of having an economy is to increase the standards of living/make living more comfortable. |

Eko Ile: Is Lagos not part of the SW? And what part of the SW are you ahead of?
There more industries in Ogun state alone than the East of the Niger combined.
The west is ahead of you economically, financially, politically, culturally and so on and on, You are free to prove me wrong and I'll be here to deal with your response.
Your SA reference was kind of ignorant simply because SA is not Nigeria and I hope you know the history of SA. Economically-no. Ileke-IdI: The only ACN GOv that has had chance to prove anything is Fashola. We shall see which part is MORE corrupt.
As of right now, you have no grounds. ACN is lead by Tinubu, um so? Better that than have a PDP SW region. Did Tinubu control Fashola? Is Fashola corrupt?
All this is the healthy fear of Tinubu and a new beginning for SW region.
I'd be more worried about the SW rejects (Oyinlola, OBJ etc) rumored to be surrounding GEJ.
Hate it or love it, ACN is moving into the SS/SE, baby You lucky I like you because I would have rip you to shreds on this one had you been ssome insecure being like Oko Ile. |

Eko Ile: Olodo ni e. That's the difference between the South West and the rest of Nigeria, we have the strength and decency to pick the bad eggs within our community and kick them out without blood shed or any kind of acrimony, the losers even quickly accepted their defeat and moved on.
We are not like you mumu people over there in the East and SS recycling crooks, convicts and criminals to keep screwing you up. Election don come and go, but you backward
Though OBJ is not a criminal or a convict like many in your clan, but we made him irrelevant and inconsequential with our votes.
Don't get it twisted, unlike you and your people, we know right from wrong. You people have many many more decades of communal and political tutelage before you crawl out out the wilderness.
Saying the SW is way way superior and fae ahead of the rest of Nigeria is an understatement and we've been proving this since day one.
When the West was scoring many 1st in Africa in terms of infrastructural development, you and your leaders were clueless and absent.
Abeg know your place and pay your role, I'm gone off the bolded, lol. . .Everybody and they mama know that SW has the bloodiest politics in nigeria. C'mon son. |

Ileke-IdI: Excuse me? lol what a girl.
Anywaz, the same corrupt people we've weeded out?
GEJ is the one still surrounding himself with SW rejects like OBJ, Iyabo, Oyinlola etc. Abeg, whatever they do, dont blame the SW. Blame your president. So I guess the acronym A.C.N. makes them magically uncorrupt? Do remember that the same fools from SW PDP decamped to ACN. ACN is lead by a drug barron, Tinubu. Did tinubu not screw a progressive named Ribadu? Yes. This was done for selfish reasons with the greed of money being the main driver. As for GEJ, tinubu is the same guy that is giving nominations to GEJ for ministerial appointments so what does that make him? Also, isn't that selling out to the PDP? When parties to such thing those appointtees usually end up crossing over to the ruling party, but i guess you know nothing about that. It is clear tinubu is out for tinubu. He took the credit for votes for GEJ in the SW. . .hmm. . .leader indeed . Look mehn, SS/SE All Day!!! |
Politics › Re: We Must Keep ACN Out Of The South-South And South-East by Chyz2: 2:21am On May 04, 2011 |
Eko Ile: What do we need SS and SE or what ever the freeking alphabets they call themselves for sef? SS is full of crooked and corrupt people, convicts and international fugitives, GEJ from the same place was an accessory and enabler because he participated or looked the other way while his boss looted his state dry and SS, they are already on the ground and there is no need to kick weak and beaten folks while gasping for breath on the ground,
Y'all are dismissed for now, Excuse me? Lets not go there ,dude. The SW is the last region to make this kind of argument. If I begin to list the well known(international, included) crooked and corrupted people that come from the SW I will be listing till sun up. No region has the monopoly on criminals like the SW. It took a SS woman to, with pride, bow out of a corrupt government led by a Swesterner, Obasanjo. This was never in history done by a Swesterner. |
