@cooger Watching 20,000 hours of some crime tv is not a course load in police academy. A video was released A girl was being violated (At least starting from the point she started saying no if I must give you some concession) She could even be dead by now as someone mooted here. And you come out on the www to say based on what you have seen on crime tv it is a hoax. I have been around here long enough to know that there are very intelligent people here who don't just swallow everything hook. line and sinker and majority of them have condemned the despicable video. But you have chosen to think in the opposite direction along with Abia government, and I'm sure you think not joining the popular opinion makes you smart. In this case popular opinion wins. No matter what a female has done to any male, it does not warrant violation as clearly seen on that video and it is not a hoax, they deliberately showed the girls face to humiliate her to death. It may have taken place long ago and elsewhere other than Abia, but it happened none the less and it is horrible. Your 20,000 hours has obviously failed this time |
@cooger How old are you? |
coogar:What point are you trying to make? Do you mean all of them in the video faked it and released it just to tick Nigerians off? Or are you saying from your experience she should have been screaming at the top of her voice all through her ordeal? I sense a subtle influx of people trying to trivialize the video and make it look like a hoax. If it is a hoax that is the more reason the police if they still have any honor left, should get to the bottom of the matter, arrest everyone including the girl before they start making real videos with innocent females, and who knows they could be protecting someone you know by getting to the bottom. |
@pinkrex 1. The rap.ed lady never showed up. How many females that you know will come out and say yeah I got raped by one animal, not to talk of ten? 2. no report has been made for investigation Who will make the report? Some students of ABSU and other Institutions have been opening up since this happened that it is a frequent occurrence, how many have you heard of? Do your research and discover that only a small percentage of rape victims ever come out to report. How many cases of rape has our judicial system prosecuted with conviction? Did they kill her or have they killed her to cover their faces? 3.No concrete proof to show that it wasn't a conspiracy or an agreement The question here is not the possibility of conspiracy, but a dastardly act that paints us in bad light, shows the level of moral decadence, has the possibility of inspiring other such acts and debases our women just occurred and there is need for some consequence that will serve as a deterrent and a strong statement that our society and government will not condone such acts or waywardness. 4. Police don't operate with rumours Did you mean police as a concept or the Nigerian police? I bet you don't leave in Nigeria. 5. The west escalated this to strengthen their propaganda(make everything look incompetent) I see people who must blame the west for just about anything. Will this kind of thing be condoned in any American state? Can you imagine the American state governor coming out to deny that this happened in their state? 6. The is no case to be investigated There is a strong case to be investigated, and the individuals left enough clues in the video that forensic investigation can bring out may be slowly but surely. I don't have the nerves to watch the video but I have heard an earful already and I think it is only a heartless, self centered, devil possessed individual that will down play the severity of this video and the proportions of its implication. |
samtoye:And the contract is to get rapedd by 5 boys? |
Ok, Abia State is a ruse T A Orji is a ruse Abia State University is a ruse The commisioner himself is a ruse In short even Nigeria is a ruse |
Intelligent post,.Instead I think it's high time we started demanding answers from people who see more than a man that has a multitude of advisers, paid with tax payers money and supposedly do a lot of research and fact finding, why they think they know better. In this case, the facts where bare for anyone with common sense to see, Gadaffi lost the battle even before it started. Whether the invasion is justified or not is not the matter here. GEJ acted in the direction sound, empirical reasoning. Besides it is good that our President recognized the NTC early and by so doing he made a statement against unpopular leaders. You wouldn't expect a failure like Robert Mugabe to make such a move. |
ziccoit:If it took them this long to realize the obvious then Africa is in danger of extinction. GEJ made a very smart decision in recognizing the NTC when he did, it is only a dullard that wouldn't see that Gaddafi failed the day NATO joined forces with the NTC. I was surprised that people called him names for going in that direction, and these were people I considered more intelligent than myself. jba203:Nigeria didn't jump the gun, rather AU was guided by immoral and dictatorial individuals who felt the need to stick by their kind and benefactor. There was no option at the time they were making noise, NTC was getting all the support their needed from NATO anyway and they were obviously going to form a government. Who were they fighting to be included in the government anyway? Is it the same people that were being killed by one man's ego tripping while their kept quiet and were instead giving Gadaffi false assurances of meaningless support? GEJ has been vindicated and no grammar can change it. |
@je jennykadry:I can only conclude that you are not a female and that as a male rape is your thing. If on the other hand you are a female, too bad. |
Hey pedofile, we may not know who you are but watch it, you will be caught soon. pervert. |
Jayon or jayz, see what you get when you parade your insensitivity in public? Something so horrible happened to that girl, somebody's daughter who would someday become someones mother. I'm no one here supports this girl for wayward behaviour but neither she nor any other female deserves what happened to her and I am very proud that there are still human beings in this country who roundly condemn this evil with so much emotions as I do. You even made me almost trip by claiming you are an old man. It pained you so much that your was insulted? Only insult? How much more a girl attacked by animals in human skin? Please act your age since you are a 'papa' |
Are we sure she is alive? Following links to linda's blog from NL doesn't seem to work |
The governor and the school have denied that it happened in Abia University http://lindaikeji..com/2011/09/gang-rape-abia-state-govt-denies.html |
I love my wife so much but ain't sharing no tooth brush. I just don't think it is right. |
No matter what, there is no justification for what happened. Every decent Nigerian should condemn what the animals did and call for their arrest. This video is part of the shame of a country and I dare say, They sinned against womanhood, against mankind and against Nigeria. It chills my nerves to read someone justifying what they did to this girl. The world is really turning to something else. Whether rape is a course in ABSU or not, this one that has come out must attract consequences. Already people are raining curses on these animals and the animal families they came from. |
Off to Linda's blog to show her support (I'm liking her now), this animals and their animal parents must not go free regardless of who and what this girl is. |
Almondjoy? |
almondjoy? |
At last someone seems to be doing something about this. This should be every decent persons responsibility. Let these gay children of gays be identified and let's all push for something to be done. Every right thinking person who has a clue on who these animals are should post something. There surely must be something in the video that can be used to identify atleast where it took place. No peace for the wicked |
From what I understand this video is already in many phones across Nigeria, some people are feasting on it for their dark and evil passions while others are spreading it ignorantly not knowing what the effect will be on this individual. She is still someone's daughter, grand daughter, niece, sister, aunt and hopefully, mother. Think about it. |
zionking:Right, speechless, Can you begin to imagine how many idiots will get inspiration from this? This is a learning point for girls who can't close their legs and stick with their studies, and girls who follow men. I bet she wasn't forced to get there, but if she was then that's sad, she appears to know these dogs. I hope some girl who thinks jumping around is smartness will learn from this. The world is filled with wicked heartless souls who are willing to inflict any type of pain on anyone as far as their lewd and immoral desires are satisfied. |
We don't need the link to the video, keep it to yourself, all we need are the boys' names so we can identified them and the slowpoke parents that gave them to the world. |
Boko Haram is not IRA, different ideologies, different culture, different environment. Obasanjo goofed and Boko has said that much by this recent murder of Obasanjo's host. On the other hand, the main purpose of terrorism is the use of fear as a means to whatever end, and Boko albeit muslims are achieving their purpose through this strategy. Now the whole world seems to be afraid of Muslims, many people are joining islam to escape their terror, and in Nigeria many are patronizing Boko out of fear. Obasanjo's trip may have been out of fear. And majority of the posts supporting Obasanjo may actually be a reflection of same fear. I support Wole Soyinka on this one. |
Smilenw:Well said! |
Despite how presumptuos the write up may sound, I find it hard to believe that any individual will work hard, make money legitimately, build houses and leave them vacant because of some policy that reduces how much rent he can get per time. It doesn't make sound economic sense to me. |
Obasanjo what else do you want from us? You had 8 years and the experience to move us forward but you frittered it on selfishness. Obasanjo did you think this through before going to beg? Must you seek for relevance by all means? What of all the innocent people murdered by yusuf and his men, are you not going to beg them too? Sir, with all due respect you missed it. People, I am sure we all hate this violence, I hate it and want it stopped but begging murderes and their families will not stop it, you are simply providing more incentives for violence. |

Gadhaffi was a dishonest and corrupt dictator just like all of them, and he has now become a pawn in the game of self interest and self preservation played so well by the western world. If there was any honesty in him, why did he have to stay for 42 years and planning to hand over power to one of his sons? For the records, the politics of the western world versus the rest of us has been a politics of wits and their win almost all the time while we lose almost all the time because they use the 'think-plan-play' approach while our leaders and intellectuals use the 'plan-play-think-blame' approach. They are accused of supplying arms to Arab and African nations to fight each other (this one is so sad and the way people boldly write about baffles me) why are they accepting arms to fight themselves? Why don't they query the motive of their arms suppliers? If I offer you guns to fight your brothers or wife and you accept without asking questions, why turn around to blame me? Did you forget there is 'game' of survival going on and that I will only benefit from you fighting each other. Consider Nigeria, over 50 years and billions of oil revenue, no electricity, unintelligent, underdeveloped and underfunded security apparatus, non existent indigenous technology, lack of standards, inefficient and unresponsive government, mediocre educational system, growing population without commensurate advancement plans and provision for catering for their needs, an elite that is accountable to the American Ambassador instead of the Nigerian people, institutionalization of corruption and the list goes on. Now the Indians, Chines and Lebanese are making massive economic incursions in partnership with our politicians. I am sure tomorrow we will start blaming them for our woes or have we started already. Asian countries are now transferring technology from anywhere in the world, we are busy buying technological products from everywhere. We have no serious research institute, Western countries spend huge on research. Our leaders are not accountable, Western leaders are more accountable. Our international policies are largely distorted and directionless. What if we are able to drill, refine and sell our oil all by ourselves? But we can't because we have no value for Nigerian brains that have acquired the expertise from Westerners, they prefer working outside Nigeria because they make more money and have security. Now we depend on oil at the detriment of other mineral resources that could drive our economy quite well and unfortunately oil is one of the factors that greatly influence the international diplomacy of the western nations. Our doctors and we have some of the best, run to US and Dubai for the benefits of better income and security. I have only used Nigeria as a case in point but this situations are not peculiar to Nigeria but we see it happening in all third world countries. It is my strong conviction that every western nation will accord due respect and regard to any country that manages its independence and sovereignty maximally to the benefits of its people and economy. We create the loopholes that the western intelligence capitalize on for the furtherance of their domination of world politics and of course economy, and any country or people would do just that, this is the mistake of Gahdaffi and his cohorts. Gahdaffi's ousting is good riddance and a warning to all the dictators in the world, go go go |
I disagree with all the argument in favour of Gadhaffi in so many ways. This man may have done so much for Libya and Libyans agreed, but he was a dictator for 42 years and every dictator is just some self centered individual willing to do just about anything to hold on to power. He had the opportunity to kick out the 'corrupt' monarchy, suppress islamic extremism, install a structure to sustain his achievement and step aside, but his personal interest wouldn't let him. No amount of good deed justifies dictatorship. Lastly, the western world is only able to pursue their interest in developing nations the way they do because our leaders let them. Since independence Nigeria has had all the mineral, financial and human resources to advance and be truly independent but our leaders have frittered it through a combination of short-sightedness, selfishness, incompetence and brazen criminality. I don't understand how we third world countries are very good at seeing how the western world is under developing us when a country like Nigeria has had more than 40 years to move out of the third world club but has only managed to institutionalize corruption and mediocrity. |
@kpac True talk |
Where there not found a highly placed female police who could follow up and bring these beasts to justice? Or are their children of politicians? |
Anyone with update? |
