I just searched NL for temporary visa related groups, found this thread and thought to ask. Thanks all the same. 2 Likes |

Midex88: If you are topping up your POF from what you initially had, you can do that at anytime, there's no need for it to be there for a period of time before you can declare. All you need do is include details of the source of income to prove that its not borrowed. |

Hello mamas and papas Please can anyone recommend a lab on the island axis (Lagos) where i can do hormone profile test and TVS for a reasonable price. I have tried contacting a few i found on google and i am hearing price like N70k (sounds expensive, abi is this the normal range?). For now Union Diagnostics seem to be fair N21k for both test and scan but the reviews i am seeing on google is somehow lol. Please help out, preferrably anywhere within the Lagos island/ V.I /Lekki axis. Thank you!. |

PETERANDRE: Well all the work arounds to gather your documents is really where the work is. Once you submit your application the rest is a waiting game, all communications after this will be to your mail. You probably think there's alot to the process but there really isnt if you have all that is required (and if you dont have all that is required, your agent cant source these things for you). You will spend money on an agent who you cant hold liable if they mess up your application so why not just read through the first page as it literally has most if not all the info your agent will supply you. What an agent can really do for you in this process is to tell you what to do, what if the info they supply is not accurate?! You reserve the right to do what you want though so its up to you but all the people i know who have used agents ended up doing most of the work themselves because thats how the process is structured. All the best. |

buchhogonzalez: I think the real question here is what is the intent of travel? what country can you apply to for what? if you are seeking to further your studies then you will not just be looking for what country, you will consider schools and their locations that best suite your study goals and financial capacity and that research is majorly yours to handle. if you are looking at emigrating you equally have to do proper research on what and where works for you legally. The approach of asking people to recommend for you without you having any real intention may end up landing you another deportation. 4 Likes |

Ikea81: This is a huge decision you are about to make so i will advise that you really do proper research and assessment before you take a step. That friend who is saving 10 years worth of work in 4 years may be exxagerating. The life is good outside but the cost of living is very high as well. Your friend's 4years savings might be much in Naira but may not so much over there. Your annual rent in Nigeria is likely to be about one month rent over there. This is not to say that life is not rosy abroad o, its to say that it is definitely not all too easy especially since you have kids here to cater for. After considering all the factors involved, please opt for a LEGAL migration route. I'm not sure that with the current immigration laws you can file for spousal visa in the US and that takes some time to even process. You will also not be able to do any reputable job without a legal status. So this your plan of going on a visitor's visa (without even considering the fact that it is illegal) will most definitely rob you of your peace of mind. Overstaying your visa will affect your future visa applicaitions, it also means that you may not see your family in a very very long time because coming back home means you cant return to the states. There are a number of countries welcoming immigrants legally, do your research and go for one that suits your goals and plans. You dont want to be dealing with immigration issues at a time when you should be living your best life. 17 Likes 1 Share |

Sony96: Thanks mama. I know its not medically documented about clomid distorting hormones but from researching i find that quite a number of women have reported similar experience after using clomid, because of the interaction with hormones. I will definitely carry out tests to know what exactly is going on. I appreciate your contribution. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should I Take The Club Job? by cinammon(f): 10:40pm On May 29, 2021 |
I strongly will advise that you do not take the Job. What if this is God testing you?! Yes potential connections but there are no guarantees . What is guaranteed is that your faith will be TESTED daily. Another thing is, that’s not an environment that edifies God, so for you to be there daily is to take yourself away from God. You will see and be exposed to a lot of things (crime inclusive) that go against Gods word and you’d be forced to get accustomed. So whether you indulge or not, you gradually go against 2Cor 6:14. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his own soul?! *True Story* - A very close family member got the same type of job, pay was good. The type of connections that were coming at him were highly placed women (Married and Single) in their numbers everyday. All kinds of women will throw themselves at you whether you are attractive or not. Did he make some cool cash? Yes, did he make connections? Yes. Guess what he ended up with; *HIV*. This is someone who is the most careful person I know and yet this is his story today. Before you take the opinion of the majority asking you to go for it, scout for people who actually do this kind of jobs and ask for what it really entails cos if you choose the option of testing the waters you may drown before you realize it. I wish you all the best. |

Hi People, Please i have a quick question with respect to FBI PCC. I will be visiting the US in July and i also need to apply for the FBI PCC. I am contemplating on whether to apply when i get there or to apply from here and deal with courier and fingerprints hassle. I have read the CIC requirement for countries you are no longer a resident: For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row. So i take it that i should not have an issue obtaining my PCC when i go since its a month's trip. The last time I was there for more than 6 months was 2015. I just want to reconfirm that this has not necesarily been flagged for anyone before. Thank you. |

dupsydooo: Its clearly stated there that funds must have been maintained in the account 3 month before Application is sent. Even if the application is sent on the 60th day, thats less than 3 months. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by cinammon(f): 5:51pm On May 25, 2021 |
Emmy2009: The funds have to be in your account. If you have anyone coming to canada with you, the funds can be in thier account but you will have to prove that you have full access to it. In your case, since you are a lone applicant it has to be in your account. Whatever currency your account is doesnt matter as long as the funds there are equivalent to the amount required as POF. This POF thing in summary is that you are required to have a certain amount of money (per CIC website) to show YOU can fund yourself when you migrate. It cannot be borrowed (this is why it has to be in your name not any sponsor). To show proof of this fund, you will request for a letter from your bank which will state your present account balance and average balance for the last 6 months. Now what people do when they dont readily have this cash is to build their account. After getting ITA, you will need to submit the bank letter. If you are submiting your application today for example, your bank letter will show average balance from Dec 2020 - May 2021, thats 6 months. Within this 6 months, if you have any bulk deposit it may appear as if you borrowed the money (which is unacceptable). So it means you will have to deal with proving the source of such funds to demonstrate that it is legally yours. This is why people choose to build their accounts before the 6 month period so that a steady balance is reported instead of having fluctuations. Fluctuations are allowed as long as the money is legally yours and not borrowed. Gift deed is an option when you are getting the funds from someone else and you need to show that it was not loaned. Note that this POF is required when you get ITA and when you are issued PR. So you must maintain this balance or more all through the application process since you cant tell when PR will come through. From your initial questions, its clear you have not digested the whole process. All answers to your questions are on page one of this thread. I know you have heard this often and you may think its time wastage, but this whole immigration process is a personal journey so you really need to make time to digest all the info required, you will find that its actually easy and straight forward. Another thing is, any slight mistake can get your application rejected so if you keep relying on people's view instead of doing a self study you might be setting yourself up. 6 Likes |

Hello mamas Please i need some guidance. I had always had a very regular circle and flow since i started menstruating, i have also had two babies with no issues or complication. We recently started TTC for our third in January and all of a sudden my period didnt show up in February. On the day it was supposed to start i only saw blood when i wiped for just one day, there was no flow, not even a drop. Pregnancy test was negative too. I wasnt too bothered, i also tracked my ovulation that month and i got very strong positives mid circle. After TWW of that circle, PT was negative as well however my flow still did not come. It repeated the same thing as february with only blood stain when i wiped and only for one day. Ater this 2nd cycle, i went to see my Doctor and she prescribed Primolut N. After taking the Primolut i still did not bleed. It was just the same blood stain after wiping. No recent weight gain/ loss, i dont think i am stressed and my hormone tests are fine. I am really clueless as to what is going on or what to do. I just want my flow back or atleast get some assurance that even without the flow, ovulation is still happening. Has anyone had their periods stop suddenly? how were you able to get it back? I know positive OPK doesnt confirm ovulation actually happened, how do i really confirm if i am ovulating? my Doctor wants me to keep trying for another 3 months before any intervention but I dont want to go on a TTC journey when i am infact not ovulating. Please help recommend how i can get my periods back or how to confirm if i am actually ovulating |

johnJS:Hi John. Thankss! I filled myself as sponsor on my DS-160 and my Husband as sponsor for himself and our Child. I had always filled my Husband as sponsor in the past but i just thought to change it (coming from a denial stand point i felt that that would demonstrate financial capability or 'ties' sort of). But again, i dont think that it would be a deal breaker either ways especially for you guys since its your first time applying together and no denial before. |

smith042:Although conference as a reason for travel does not really hold water again, my advice is make sure you know every detail about the conference, the organizers, who is sponsoring, most importantly what you do and how the conference relates to what you do/ why the conference is really important to you. You have to really demonstrate why you need to attend the conference. Memorize your ds-160 well. They may not ask you all the questions you need to be able to give all the details but you can maximize the opportunity of whatever you are asked to provide the necessary details while keeping it short and smart. You must know the cost of the conference especially if it’s self sponsored and other expenses you will incure because you may be asked, also know that your salary has to be proportional to the expenses you will be incurring. Don’t go and be rambling in front of the VO. Be truthful all the way. Good luck. |

cinammon:So here is my transcript*** My interview was scheduled for 8am Wednesday morning, I went with my Husband and baby. We got there and went through the queues and finally got to the waiting point to be assigned to a VO. The number of colored papers that were already flying around that early was discouraging but hubs stayed positive. We finally got to the front of the VO and the convo below was how it went: VO: passports please Me: hands over 3 passports VO: scans our passports and takes quite some time reading on his screen (going through our applications I guess). At this point I was starting to get nervous especially since I had been denied before but my husband stayed confident all through. VO: where are you going to? Hubs: Maryland to Visit my sister and holiday with the family. VO: how long will you be spending? Hubs: 4weeks, we plan to leave Nigeria on the ** of July. VO: *quiet* scrolls again for sometime, looks up, goes back to his screen. All this time I just tried to stay calm, not like I had a choice lol. VO: what do you do for work? Hubs: I am the head of ****** at *******, (goes further to explain what his role entailed) and my wife is an *****, she works with ******* (goes further to explain my role) VO: how much do you earn monthly? Hubs: I earn *******(7 figures) and my wife earns ****** (6 figures) monthly. VO: you had your first baby in the US? Hubs: yes VO: do you have your receipts? Hubs: yes (hands over hospital, pediatrician and doctor’s receipts) Hubs: we made full payment through insurance (hands over insurance card) My husband’s HMO is CIGNA, provided by his employer. VO: (goes through all the papers) was there any out of pocket payment? Hubs: No, it was fully paid for by insurance. VO: how old is your baby? (Looking towards my baby in hand) Hubs: she is 10 months old, she was born on the 27th of April VO: (goes back to his screen and scrolls through again) in my last interview I had mentioned that I applied for the visa to go have my baby but my baby came early before my appointment date and my appointment was on the 30th of April, so I guess he was trying to count back to see if my story at the time was true. I also believe that the VO who denied me before was not convinced that I had given birth then seeing my tummy was still big lol. She must have thought that I was still pregnant and was trying to evade defending financial capability for child birth. VO: do you plan to incure any medical expenses on this trip? Both of us: NO VO: have you been to China before? Hubs: yes I was in China twice last year. VO: when? Hubs: err I may have to check my passport, I can’t remember exactly but it was in August. I spoke up saying it was April and June and my husband and I went back and forth a bit lol. VO: let me just. Check your passport. (Checks and looks back up) she was correct. Hubs: (smiles) she knows these things better than I do I have to admit. VO: (smiles) Ok, everything looks good so I will be issuing your visas. Please pick up in 3 business days (hands us the white paper) you can go and make payment to the cashier. The excitement was not of this world lol nobody likes being rejected. *just to add* my husband is a frequent traveler and has been to the US multiple times, he did his MBA in the US too. Even though we were not asked for travel history. Then again Hubs answered questions in full and confidently that even I myself was amused. He handled it like it was nothing. If I want to really put a pin on what worked, because the VO really took the little time he had to drill through our application, it would be that my husband’s profile was strong. Then again there were many people there who from their interview had strong profiles too but got denied maybe they were not convincing enough?! I cannot really say. For mums who have had babies in the US, always make sure you have your receipts. There was a family who was denied, their son had a US passport and was 8years old but they did not have medical receipts. They were denied. please try to also answer questions fully, don’t just drop one word answers. Ensure your answers align with what you have filled in your application, you can always save out a copy of your application and go through it before your interview. Pray for Favour too. Good luck. 24 Likes |
