Speaking at his Hilltop mansion, IBB said Makarfi restored his hope of a new Nigeria.He said...

“I was almost losing hope in the country, but having heard from the distinguished senator, I have become more enlightened and emboldened to say we have hope in Nigeria".

“Without fear or favour, you have made my day".

“We need a new narrative in this country. We can’t go on like we used to. We need an articulated vision of a new Nigeria. I am not surprised that you give such narrative of the country. You did well in the legislature and you handled well one of the most civilised and sophisticated states in Nigeria".

“You have my blessings and I will look forward to hearing from you on some of these articulations I heard from you today. Honestly I feel so proud”.

His visit maybe related to his numerous consultations in a bid to be PDP's flag bearer in 2019 presidential election.

I just pray Buhari listens. Another point worth noting is that politicians are not to die for. You can imagine my shock and sadness at Godswill Akpabio’s alleged plan to APC and Buhari after the suffering of Christians for the past 4 years under this same Buhari? So exactly have we hoi polloi been waging an online war for? And in the process making enemies of our Muslim brothers? So Akpabio by joining APC is invariably saying Buhari is not a terrorist responsible for killing Christians in the middlebelt? I am still perplexed at this point.

Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP)in Edo State, Mr. George Oloruntobi, has told landlords in the state to issue quit notice tenants without permanent voter cards.

Oloruntobi said voting during election was a civic duty every adult must endeavour to participate in as part of electoral processes.

Addressing party supporters at Uselu, Egor local government area, Oloruntobi said many Nigerians in the northern part of the country including beggars have collected their PVCs.

The Edo APD chairman noted that the northerners were more politically enlightened than the people of the South.

He also urged Southerners to marry more wives and have more children to stop the North from having dominance in terms of highest number of voters during the election.

According to him, “We should endeavor to marry more wives in case of future elections. In the South, we say marry one wife and have four children but in the North, they marry many wives and have plenty of children.

“We should change our attitude towards having small families, we should get more children so that the North cannot continue to lord over the southerners. Those of you who are youths should get marry and have children as well.”

EFCC chairman confirmation. The Presidency can not send a nominee and an agency of Executive branch the DSS writes a damaging security report and you expect the Senate to still confirm him. The Presidency to this date has not sacked the head of DSS for unjustly undermining a FG appointee. Really not sure what the Presidency expects of the Senate on this one. The DSS to this day is upholding their damaging security report on Magu. A clean security report is a prerequisite to get Senate confirmation. The Presidency refused to discipline the DSS and obtain a good report on Magu and yet the same Presidency refused to replace Magu but somehow wants to bully the senate to engage in impunity by overlooking the DSS report? It’s ridiculous!

The refusal of confirmation of AMcOn boss etc is because of the Presidency refusing to recognise the right to the senate as per the EFCC chairman not to confirm a nominee. Again the Presidency is to blame on this one as they can’t have it both ways

The issue of election sequence has been settle by the court and the power of the legislature to determine or amend electoral laws including the sequence is settled by the court. If Buhari is as popular as he claims he should fear nothing and should go out to win the election no matter the order of elections

The issue of virement is poor planning and management on the part of the executive. We did not realise suddenly that we will have election in 2019. We knew in 2015 that Nigeria will have another election in 2019. Why did the executive not plan for the funds required to sponsor the election. Why this adhoc arrangement called virement. It smacks of an administration that just can not plan for the future. Also 242 billion is too much for the election. The money should be reduce to 120 billion! The last election cost 90 billion!

All the other list is just bla bla bla. Saraki is a presiding officer who only rules on the decisions of his colleagues. He can not be held responsible for the collective decision of the Senate!

If he can not show a reasonable source of those investments, they should all be seized and sold. He should also be made to face the law for corruption.
Aside being in the Senate, what other sources of income does he have to own those properties outside Nigeria? How many Americans have properties in Africa? Foolish beings.
Let the war against corruption be fair, that's all I ask for.
