Lynching people for whatever cause should be criminalised in this country. It's akin to taking laws into your hands and should be discouraged with severe penalties. Humans are such that it takes extreme measures to change long rooted behavior. The fact that people could be killed for flimsy excuses and gotten away with has kind of reinforced that attitude. Punitive measures by government agencies so saddled with such responsibility or reprisals of equal or greater measure are two possibilities but if you ask me, I think the former is better and should be the right approach in a civilised society. |
Obaseki fine die. I tell you ![]() |
Lol....is this a joke or something? That's what it sounds to me. |
HolyHero:I love this. |
kaen1317:Hahahaha. Thought as much. The enemy of my enemy stuff. Condemning PDP and GEJ seems the password to APC's vault of favor. Everyone is getting used to that now. |
Don't know how to classify this. Blessing or a curse? Hm! |
firstolalekan:Truth is you are not in a position to cast stones at Christianity. Take that advice and be at peace with yourself. Bi eyin awo ba lewo, enu adiye ko la o ti gbo. |
chocolateme:Awwwww! Had just realised I needn't say more than to wish you a 'happy new month'. |
chocolateme:Hahahaha. Alright, i get it. You kind of don't understand it at all. This is a public forum. When you bring issues here and call for contributions next time, pls indicate those you know would understand you and whose comments wouldn't make you itch for the barrel. Once it's thrown here, it's no longer you owning it, that's why it's a public forum, OK. Then, don't know where in my write-up you saw 5yrs career stuff. Pls, read carefully next time before putting your fingers to work on your tabs. And dear, what would seeking attention from you do to me? Food on my table? naaaahhh! Thats pretty overrated. Your 'thanks' is acknowledged. Stay bkessed |
chocolateme:Lol....see baby, I choose my battles wisely and trust me, I don't find you worthy of that battle. You call me liitle child? Hahaha. I'm almost 100% sure you are not even near my age by 5yrs. I have a very rewarding job and I didn't come here to ask for advice about job change. My remark was from my observations, though it might have come to you at one of your bad moods. I wish you well, I don't need to p.m u cos I don't need it. |
chocolateme:This is very simple. The job paying you less has more in it than the first going by what you posted. Besides, your write-up betrayed your leaning. It's crystal clear you just need a nudge to move over. Best wishes. |
crown247:That is how weak most of these Lilly livered chickens of governors are. When Yerima came with his Sharia issue that year, what happened? It became the song of governors and people of that part of Nigeria. Try to move a truckload of beer through the northern part of the country and see what happens to you, despite the fact that alcohol is not prohibited as far as I know in the Constitution of Federal republic they so much make reference to when it serves their purpose. They also support that with the claim of protecting the overall interest of their people. Where is that Constitution when federal character was jettisoned in appointments? It's sickening to realise that paddy-paddy syndrome has its most inhibiting effect on the governors from the south. I would love to be disappointed as I know Fayose's line is not likely to be toed anytime in the near future by our ass-licking leaders down the Niger. |
aribisala0:Thank you. Help ask him germaine questions. If as a Nigerian I have unfettered access to anywhere in Nigeria, does it mean I can do any business anywhere? I can be anywhere is different from doing any business anywhere. Why is it that o can open a beer parlor in Lagos but would not be allowed same freedom in Sokoto or Zamfara? At least beer is a licit substance, a legit business just like the cattle rearing. If those northern states can enact laws restricting my business freedom in their domain, nothing should stop Fayose from replicating same with aim of protecting his people in his domain. Qed |
If the military wants war on Niger Delta people, then Buratai and his generals should be part of the action, not sending innocent boys to go and die like fowl while they toast to vanity with babes in Abuja. Peace will benefit all if given a chance. I just hope our handlers will listen to the voice of reason and not that loud egos ringing in their cerebral space. |
yahrant140:Exactly! |
AroOkigbo:Hahahaha...anyone says a thing, the next thing is probe. Ok o, this government is not meeting the yearnings and aspirations of those who voted them in. Rather, people are suffering and dying of hunger, preventable illnesses and there's increase in crime rate. Is that hard enough? Guess I'm next in line for probe Very intolerant handlers who would rather you rub their bashed egos than tell them the truth. |
This write-up is full of truths. Mrs Oby simply put has been used and dumped. I see her as a patriotic Nigerian who would go lengths for the common good of all but unfortunately, she played into the hands of self serving politicians who !masqueraded as nationalists and freedom fighters. Her people appreciate her good efforts just that they feel obliged to call her attention to what appears obviously she lives in denial of: she is no longer needed and is now an irritant. My advice to her as the writer submitted is for her to retract and allow them have their peace. She can contribute her quota to the development of her people. It is unwise to go build mansion for others while your father lives in mud house. It's sad truth which regrettably she would have to come to terms with. I strongly believe her patriotic values drove her and not desire for some yeye appointment from this administration. |
Jirate:God bless you. They stole (confirmed crime) while he INTENDS (probable act) to bribe with said money. To them, the act of stealing the said money was a patriotic one that merits commendations, perhaps with conferment of national merit award . Not surprised though. |
Taken that he has good intentions at face value but the level of suffering and deprivation in the state is unprecedented! Some husbands cannot cater for their families anymore, many sent packing or constantly under threat of eviction from landlords who also depend on rents to feed. 'Corporate' begging is on the increase as neatly dressed guys corner you the moment you come out of banks soliciting knowing that the possibility of being given a hearing is better if decent in appearance. He needs to move faster. Those he had screened should be paid. What's the essence of paying just two months and accumulating more after screeningnif not true that he fixed the bailout? What stops those one enjoying their monthly stipend uninterrupted? He should not fritter away the benevolence God through the people bestowed on him. People are dying pls. |

Pained to read about people dying like fowls because they are made pawns in political chessboard. When are we going to find a lasting solution to this menace? Why all the lies? Why give false information and push people to early grave? Do we need help from foreign military forces that are outside of what are neighbouring countries provide? Could these our neighbours be sabotaging our efforts at ridding our territory of these miscreants? Why do we appear to be too soft on these guys and even reward some of them caught? Omg! So many questions. Just don't know again ooo |
A law or something barring all these paratatals from physical cash collection under the guise of fines and prescribing severest punishment for flouters should be promulgated. Perhaps, if they realise it is courting dismissal and prosecution if caught receiving cash, they may be discouraged from extorting as nothing comes to them personally. I suggest all genuine payments should be receipted in banks. That way, their madness may be curtailed to an extent. |
abobakucannibal:The goat does not represent Yorubas but 'itself'. He is a psycho who is unfit for that black cloth he has on his neck cos his mind is pitch-black! How can a serving 'policeman' post such obnoxious and inciteful photo? By now, I expect his sick ass to be on fire in the force headquarters as a start! What an slowpoke! He doesn't represent me and I'm Yoruba. All these things that started as a joke/banters here on nairaland btw Yorubas and rest southerners is assuming frightening dimension and I think the mods should look seriously into slamming serious punishment. It is unhealthy. GEJ's antecedents speak for him and he is having the last laugh. All attempts to rubbish his personality will fall flat, that is for sure for he doesn't deserve all these malicious vitriols from ungrateful lots. He is not perfect but whoever is without sin should cast the first stone. Evil people dede |
Would someone kindly tell these people Jonathan left power for them more than a year ago? I honestly hope this is not what we will continue the rest of this administration's life. |
Who needs his handshake sef. Nonsense! |
ManTiger:The thing tire me sef. Nigerians and scapegoatism. Well, it's change for once- he is not blaming the devil ![]() |
Sugarhugs:Hahahaha. O su mi! |
Blamed the girl for little faith? Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! That man is a criminal and should be so treated. Can you imagine the nonsense! Haba, my people use your sense Na. Why do we allow all these charlatans? Thou shall not tempt your God. She had no sickness to be cured, why ask her to lie down and belly huge speaker with him still sitting on it? That is what magicians do and you can't be doing that with God. Let's stop these madness before we unwittingly give room for the adversaries to malign the Maker of heaven and earth and His Son who died for our sins so we are no longer slaves. |
Long throat! So if it's not president's daughter, he can't establish unity abi? Kagame no like that kind hustling jare. Very funny guy sef. |
globe16:Truth is most of us saw this 'chain' of a change from afar and warned. As much as they like , let them continue to shout 'Jonathan was not an option', to some of us his regime was better by miles to hell people are plunged into now. But then, we wouldn't blame them for saying that. Thay may hate themselves and commit even suicide if they admit they erred in their choice of messiah. It's better they don't admit it so a s to preserve some measure of inner peace left in them, esp as they witness first hand massive job losses, increase in crimes of all sorts, super hyper inflation cum hunger, adult-onset kwashiorkor and needless deaths in the streets. One can only hope things get better cos if not, don't see many of those shouting 2019 making it beyond 2017 sef. |
Opistorincos:I'm an advocate of him being dispatched to yonder as well, just the same way he deprived her of 'life'. No need living 'life' anywhere, whether in or outside of cell. He is nothing but an animal in human flesh and many of them still roam about looking for who to devour. It's so sad really. She did wrong but his own approach to extract his pound of flesh is damn abominable! |
They have two more years of protests. It is just loading! |
