As I keep telling those who care to listening, stop the permutation and START SOMETHING! There are just so many opportunities and businesses you can dabble into if you only stop to think. I think the major problem we have in this part of the world is the MINDSET of the youths especially fresh graduates coupled with fear of failure. Don't be surprise after all said and done, many readers here will only feel motivated for one hour before running back to their old life... |
Raw Food (Rice, Beans & Garri) Business Sale of raw food like rice, beans, garri, corns and wheat is a profitable business to start in Nigeria. Unlike other perishable edibles, they can stay for months without getting spoilt or rotten. It sells more during weekends, holidays and riot or protest days. Those are the days workers (especially the working class) complain of not having enough foodstuffs at home. To make a success of this kind of business, you need to site it... Taxi Business Do you have a passion for driving or just like cruising round town in your car? You can consider starting a taxi cab business. Taxi business is one of the age-long professions in the history of man. It is like being paid for doing something you would have considered doing for free. As a cab driver, you can decide when to commence business and when to close for the day. Interestingly too, the fare are not fixed. You can charge at will depending on the distance. I know a taxi driver who only deals with ‘drop’ and the least he charges per passenger is N1,500. Culled from "Businesses To Start With Less Than N500,000" |
Start A Commercial BBQ (Asun, chicken, turkey, fish, gizzards) Business If you like barbecue and like to meet people, why don't you set up a barbecue catering service? It is amazing to note the increasing number of people going into this business. There is this unusual swags that comes with operating it. Interestingly, it doesn’t take much stress to operate. I have a guy who operates not too far from Costain area of Lagos who I usually visit whenever I need my privacy. Among other things, I simply love the way he prepares his barbecue well galvanised with fried chips, ketchup, cabbage, and onions. It makes you always want to come back. And the charges range between N200 and N600 per plates. Culled from "Businesses To Start With Less Than N500,00" |
You have nothing to be afraid of. The world of enterpreneurs is a risky one. However, I must warn you. Before going for such loan, be convinced you can return the money as at when due in order to save face. For instance, I got a soft loan of N150,000 from a close friend to print my book. As the appointed day for repayment loomed, I realised I have only half of the money ready. So I ran to cousins and a brother to gather the balance to pay back & sustain that friendship. So you have to think it over especially where collaterals are not demanded. |
Ugo, me too want o. It is interesting to see how your generosity shone like a million stars. Pls, if it is not too late, help me to design a cover that will include the following - "Businesses To Launch With Less Than N500,000" A must read for every intending enterpreneur, retiree, students and full time housewives. Mine happened in Pelewura, a notorious area in Lagos Island about 12 years ago. Some thugs engaged policemen in a free for all. I dodged somewhere taking shots of d scene until an eagle-eyed member of d squad sighted me from afar. In spite of my 200 metre sprint, they caught me. After using me for their slapping rehearsal, they seized my camera. I eventually bailed myself with N2,000 before my sins were forgiven ![]() |

Running a drug store is quite lucrative. For someone who write for a Pharma journal and meet with top officials of every pharma coy u can think of in Nigeria today, I shud know better.since u are not a Pharmacist, there are 2 ways to run it. Either u apply as patent medicine retailer (which many refer to as local chemist)or employ a pharmacist to help seek to get a pharmacy registered for you. If u or anybody else feel like getting more info, mail me via folfrad@yahoo.com |
What a nice thread! Just started planning my resolution for next before stumbling on this. First I must applaud the creativity of GoldenHeart's Comic. It looks sweet and will surely attract kids. However, my worry lies in the cover price. N200 for kids? Unless, of course, you are targeting the 'Aje Butters' sha. Anyway I plan resuscitating my entertainment-based paper which I dumped in the 3rd quarter 2012. Secondly, I am hoping to use my personal blog - citypulseng..com - to promote my book (Businesses to Start With Less Than N50,000) the result of my 2-year research which I am hoping will partially solve the perennial problem of umployment in the country as well as encourage many to take to the world of Entrepreneurs. What do you think?

Eeyah!! I understand your plight bro... I have a confidant too (a lady) who contracted it from her ex. But she has since gotten over the shock and living her normal life again. Just follow the doctor's advice religiously and take exercise, aside your drugs, as a new passion. It helps speed up your immune system. Above all, be very PRAYERFUL and enter into a covenant with God. Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE!!! citypulseng..com |
The youngest daughter of mega pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes has released a statement announcing that she is ending her four year marriage. After just four years, Sarah Henson is divorcing her former NFL player husband, Robert Henson. In her statement, Henson writes: I have built my ministry and identity around being the best wife and a mother I can be. For quite sometime I have tried to steer through some serious troubles at home. As much as I wanted my marriage to last, it cannot. After professional counseling, and prayerful consideration I have decided to end my four-year marriage. There are biblical grounds supporting this decision and I have attempted every other recourse but after multiple infractions over the course of the union, and for my personal safety and that of my children, I have come to this painful decision. Now that it is made, I would ask for privacy while I navigate through this difficult season in my life so that I may now concentrate on being the best parent for my children possible. Thank you for your prayers. Sarah Henson married Robert Henson in a very extravagant wedding ceremony in 2008. At the time, Robert Henson was a student at Texas Christian University. He is a former linebacker for the Washington Redskins. Sarah Henson was only 19 years old when the couple were married. *** Hmmn... This is serious o. A whole T.D.
