One thing about Doyin?
She will always, always say the truth
what truth? She is a rejected woman trying to drag anyone around her into her misery. Pere knows that Kim doesn't fancy Cross. He has been trying to let the HMs understand that Cross and Kim are just friends in a bid to save Cross an impending embarrassment. All of us watching from home know that Pere has been avoiding Kim in other not to hurt Cross. Why are the Smiggle Doyin and the toxic CeeC trying to create a false narrative to make Pere appear desperate and disloyal. It isn't fvcking fair

Cross is looking more lost as the days go by. I thought it was the Kim Oprah effect but it now looks like he is suffering withdrawal syndrome. He has said it on the show before that he smokes weed. Who knows what else he takes. He looks like a zombie

that's because Kim has accepted Pere's rejection and settled for the guy that gives her the attention she needs to cope in the house

Kim forced herself on who? Cross?

Cos that's a fvcking lie

Cross has been acting like Kim's shadow since she came.. close Shadow marking I even commented on it during her first week

I can bet my entire fortune Kim would choose pere over cross going by just feelings.. problem is cross is bombarding her with attention and you know ladies love attention
Gbam! It seems we the viewers understand what is going on in the house better than the housemates. It's obvious Pere has been avoiding Kim because of Cross. Kim was all over Pere when she first came in but Pere avoided her. Cross knows that Kim fancies Pere more than him sef.

The reason why Pere feels hurt is that feeling you get when you are trying to do what is right but people don't see it and twist the narrative.

Why Doyin was sad is because they had conspired to nominate others…Only for Angel to surprise her and nominate her instead.

So her sadness is justifiable
just like she conspired with Neo to nominate others only for her to go in the diary room and nominate Neo

Just because I am a decent young woman, does not mean I am deluded.

The reality of Nigeria is that crime pays, we see it in every facet of our society, from top to bottom. There is no sector that has been spared because impunity is rife. There is no respect for rule of law, no regard for due process, no respect for legitimate hustle or even integrity.

Virtually everybody in this country is either a thieving opportunist or an aspiring thieving opportunist and only a small percentage actually care for legitimacy.

Even if you are a decent human being, you should never be a deluded one. The reason why so many people leave this country to travel abroad, despite meagre resources, is because, at least, you will be properly rewarded for legitimate hustle abroad. In Nigeria, you will strive to do the right thing and the system will reward you with mockery.

You must tell yourself hard truths when you live in such a dirty country.
True, but it's very wrong to address those people as mumu, that have decided, in the face of all these madness, to stay true to what they believe is right. Today's Gospel reading(I know you are a Catholic) is taken from that part of the scripture that Jesus said "what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his soul". Many of those so called ballers are souless people doing those things you see as balling to fill a void that can never be filled. Their lives are meaningless, forget about what you see. Most people think we evil people lose their souls when they die, but no, their souls die here on earth

Las las, it is the mugus that are wise

Pere is a buzzard
Eats droppings from his friend’s table.
Cross trusted him, and wrongly took him as a brother instead of WM (meanwhile he should have trusted his first intuitive feel of Pere). He took him inside the Apili network, helped him get a Binance deal.
When his fan’s contributions depleted, and his celebrity status wasn’t celebrating again? He ran back to be an army nurse, something that he clearly hates

For this show, Cross helped him with flight tickets and money (Venita also did this, but of course, neither of these two knew the other had done this- they found out the day he cried and wanted to take a voluntary exit- because Cross was clearly done with him- those instincts rightly came back to one of God’s special people, Cross)

Cross is a mumu, but Pere wants what he wants, Pere wants his lifestyle, Pere needs his money. His aura. His social network and abilities. A military nurse needing things from the fool with low IQhuh
His true self is emerging again, because of 300K/week and task wins. And fan contributions are sure after the show. He is not broke again, liquid cash to fund celeb lifestyle is available now cheesy

An absolute opportunist, a user, a total human vulture. Fake man with fake teeth cheesy…I can’t even take that seriously in a man, how unsexy is a man who buys body enhancements, lol! So unmanly.
Anybody that didn’t port to Adekunle is wrong. He is a better person📌

I watched too, and the spin here is wild!
Nonsense!!

CeeC completely finished him, so tey he couldn’t go to look for the kain Kim again.
I don't know why but I sense tribalism in your post. Why wish Cross should befriend WM instead of Pere, because they are both Igbos? Pere has showed his love for Cross from their season. I don't know why Pere likes the guy so much sef

Why are you this worked up over a reality tv show? Bbn is the least most important thing in the world. It is just entertainment. It is okay to align with whatever housemate and whatever narrative you want to push. E never reach to start to fear for the future of the country. If u no know, the future of the country don dagbaru since.

What you are doing, you may not even be conscious of it, is selling a narrative that may or may not be valid to counter a narrative that may or may not be valid. I am pretty sure this narrative you are so fiercely pushing for may not have come to you as an original thought. Perhaps you were even manipulated to take up this position you are defending staunchly--- but the irony of course is lost on you.

Everyone has an experience watching the show, and a reflection upon that experience. My thoughts on the show may have come to me based on this reflections on my experience of watching the show, or they may have come as a result of the reflections somebody else may have had on watching the show. My thoughts, experience, reflections on the show are rightfully valid as are your thoughts, experience, reflections on the show.

Do not try to delegitimize or crassly invalidate my experience and reflections on the show by simply saying I have been manipulated into taking them. In fact I will firmly contend that your accusation is itself a psychological trick designed to manipulate me into abandoning my submissions and taking up yours.

Although it has a negative connotation, there is nothing inherently wrong about manipulation. Businesses spend billions of dollars trying to manipulate you into buying their product, politicians do the same, religious leaders as well. Your child might have manipulated you into getting her a toy, your wife might have manipulated you into picking up the grocery, you may have manipulated your wife just to have sex with her. Everybody does it. All the housemates are doing it. The world is a vast, interconnected web of manipulative designs---- sometimes immediately obvious, sometimes not, and strategies. We must contend with it and succumb to it.
brilliant point but it doesn't address my grouse with the Ilebaye situation. What I detest is bandwagonism, especially when it is premised on a false narrative. It is something that should be strongly discouraged in society. Manipulation to take advantage of people is also highly condemnable. That many/most people doing, doesn't make it morally right

I don't think Baye increased it to the highest o. Neo just exaggerated for effect. She increased it a bit more but certainly not to the highest.

Of course ilebaye could have handled everything differently but I won't lie to you that girl was in a bad mood and sort of needed that music to relax a bit. She said it herself, I was in my feelings.

Before coming to that seat she had already had an issue with seyi who treated her clearly differently and worse off from Angel who was quite rude to him unlike Baye who was even polite. I think everything was just playing in her mind and added gradually to produce that kind of reaction from her.

To understand the ilebaye issue properly you have to put yourself in her shoes. Imagine staying in an enclosed place with strangers who treat you badly from the first moment you get there simply because they think you do not belong there. They attack you viciously and purposely misinterpret your actions. They lay into you at every chance they get. You try to be reasonable with them but they become even more unreasonable. After a while enduring that sort of abuse, you might start to react slightly out of character to seemingly innocuous situations.

What I am trying to say is that it will be difficult for me to put the blame completely on her for nuanced situations like this. When you consider the emotional and psychological background narrative, I get why she will not be hundred percent right or perfect in all of her interactions with the housemates, I get why in trying to stand up for herself in the face of such hideous intimidation and bullying there would be missteps on her part. I get it and I completely understand.

What is most important is that why she stands up to and battle these real and imagined demons that people on the outside validate her experience and continue to support her in this tortuous journey of resistance, self discovery, liberation, and vindication.
Intimidation and bullying? Why are Nigerians so easy to manipulate like this. Perhaps one small child handling Ilebaye's SM account used the word bullying to describe the dynamics around Ilebaye in the house and gullible Nigerians fell for it, the start of yet another bandwagon. Is it why it is so easy to control and oppress us in this country?

I go back to the very beginning of the season. A 21/22 years old in the house jumping from one man to another, playing erotic games like the lead actress in the softcore movie, I Like to play Games. During one of their very first in-house games where Neo played the role of game master, the way she insulted Neo for no solid reason, an action far worse than what WM did to her but Neo ignored her and didn't play victim. This was the first one or two weeks of the show. She dished similar insults to other HMs. Do you know how it feels when a much younger person is insulting you?

Efe was one of the youngest during his season but was so respectful to older HMs. He addressed people like Thin Tall as bros and related with Bisola as a big sister/aunty, seeking advice from her, a beauty to watch and an example to young people. He wasn't afraid to show his vulnerability as a young, inexperienced man around his love interest. The result was a well deserved win.

With people like you as the majority in this country, i fear for our future.

If Ilebaye wins the show, I will not watch BBN again

Very difficult to understand what CeeC says because she focuses on pseudo-accent and ends up making incoherent statements. She only expresses herself seemlessly when she is speaking pidgin or making short sentences in English. That's why I like Doyin and Tbaj, they speak very good English with natural accent

Ike thinks Venita is stronger than Adekunle and she's the only reason Adekunle will still be saved tomorrow.

Adekunle don suffer for these people mouth sha.

If for nothing else, are they not aware that Adekunle was a Finalist in his set? How will they think someone that left in Week 1 and another person that left in like Week 6, will kick out a finalist?
Ike is right to feel that way. If we really analyze it, what has Adekunle really done this season apart from winning HOH in the first week? He is benefitting from what has been the problem of the show most seasons, that is one housemate catching viewer attention on the first day for some reasons while the bandwagoners key in, and bingo they go on to win. It happened first in Miracle's season, then Laycon, then Whitemoney and to a lesser extent Phyna(Sheggz could have benefitted more if he wasn't an asshole as he was the first to be bandwagonized and like Mercy's season, fans wanted a female winner). Only Efe and Mercy's win was somehow devoid of bandwagonism.

Adekunle is riding on the usual first day bandwagon effect and may go on to win butbit wouldn't be because he actually brought entertainment to the show
