Improved standard and quality of life. That's what it will bring in 100 years. They can be a better follower of God's words in the long run.
But if we keep building 200,000 capacity workshop centers while people go on empty stomach, bad roads everywhere, politicians looting the govt to death but brings part of it to the church for blessings etc.
Nigeria will remain the way it is. do you know that the true message of God will produce all these things and more? |

Image123: It's a very tall tale to say that the players who played with Zidane, Maradona, Ronaldinho, Modric, and even Messi are average players. Quite laughable. All players mentioned played with quality talents at club level because good players usually play in the best clubs. However, at national team level, it's a different story because countries do not sign players. Luka Modric has led a very average Croatia national team to 2nd and 3rd position in consecutive WCs. The French National team that won the WC in 98' and the European Championship in 00' was average in my opinion. When Zizou was injured in the 2002 edition of the WC, France failed to go pass the group stage. In the 2006 edition a fit Zidane led France to the Final only to lost on penalty. The QF match between France and the defending Champions Brazil was one of the best midfield masterclass ever seen. That Brazil team paraded the 3Rs: Ronaldo, Rivaldo, a peak Ronaldinho with a host of other star players I can go on and on if u like |

Taking an average Argentina side to win the WC is the stuff of legend. The truth is that, it is a privilege to Ronaldo comparing him with Messi, because in the real sense Messi is miles ahead of Ronaldo. The great players are the ones that change the optics of a game. They are mostly midfielders and include the likes of Cruyff, Zidane, Maradona, Ronaldinho, Modric(the key to the Real Madrid success that gifted Ronaldo 4 Balon d'or), Iniesta etc. These players make average sides great. And in this class, no one does it better than Messi. Ronaldo doesn't even near these guys |

Nhazeru: If Kuku was my fave and you said the same thing I said, I would have same reaction as you ....
The truth is that he's not into women and I don't know why Nigerians have this disdain for g*ys. The truth is that Nigerians are not critical thinkers. There is a lot of logic to your allegations. I recall him saying he had erectile issues in his season(I think he said it to Allyson). Who would say such a thing publicly. This season, he somehow got hooked with Venita in the most mechanical and hard to watch romance in BBNaija history My thought is that the boy probably told Allyson that he had erectile issues because he feared the babe would figure him out when she notices that he didn't have the normal reaction guys have around girls especially when they are sex deprived for some days. We saw how Pere's prick went turgid after kissing Mercy that he couldn't even stand. Same happened to Soma around Angel. I concluded before that Adekunle was a virgin but this your take has given me a fresh perspective, besides Denrele is a big player in the Nigerian Big Brother franchise and too many HMs are known to be close friends with him before the house |

Rossikk: I have NEVER been a tribalist.
I am Igbo, and I hate IPOB, and all traitors of Nigeria of whatever ethnic colouration, including Boko Haram.
IPOB and Boko Haram are two sides of the same coin of ignorance and stupidity.
One thing you guys need to realise is that this tribalism you practice is unAFRICAN.
It was the colonialists who got you thinking in terms of 'I am Igbo'. 'You are Yoruba'.
Before colonialism, we identified ourselves by our town of origin and family/community lineage - NOT by our language.
Speaking Yoruba did not make you a ''Yoruba man''. You were an Egba man or an Ekiti man etc. Same for Igbos. Igbos never regarded themselves as one group before colonialism came. Go and read Achebe. Each town was a nation unto itself.
The colonialists introduced language bloc identification. thank you for this comment. Please join this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2860758/igbo-origin-ndoni-aboh-people#124359534 |

Frank65: OK we have accepted that Nigerians don't know how to make good decisions. Now tell us who is in the house currently that we should crown the winner. Also tell us what entertainment the person has provided. Entertainment is subjective but everybody can agree on highlights. So, based on highlights, tell us who we should vote so that we can compare if the person has brought highlights, storylines and content to this show more than Ilebaye.
By the way, if you think only Nigerians are voting Ilebaye, then you haven't seen the way South Africans love her. Them carry Baye matter for head pass Nigerians sef. Ilebaye's only highlight is her fight with CeeC. Without her, it would have still been a wonderful season. She is a bad example of what a 22 years old woman should be on every levels. And some people think that this season is not Ilebaye's.
It is not by how many followers one has on social media. People follow celebs for varied reasons n followers are not necessarily voters.
It is the people who vote - people who don't care about Instagram or Twitter. Just people who identify with humans of their ilke.
So we can rave n rant all we want on SM, but once the people decide n choose, it is a fait accompli.
This season, the people have chosen Ilebaye. She is the favoured one. And that is all that matters.

Do you live in warri ? you should have written that 95% of Itsekiris are from the 3 Warri LGAs. That would make more sense. There are Warri LGAs and there is Warri City. They mean different things I grew up in Effurun, Airport junction area. We all see ourselves as people that grew up in Warri |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by clefstone(m): 3:45pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
garfield1: I understand but the original warri is the three warri lgas.uvwie and Udu because of their nearness to warri south lga were affected by urbanization from warri south just as Onitsha ate into parts of idemili north and ogbaru and pH crept into obaoga,eleme,ikwerre... In my own personal definition,I define warri as those from the three warri lgas Well, you are making a mistake of what I'd personally call "statism", that is living in a static time frame. Life isn't static and cities and towns aren't either. What Warri was 100 years ago isn't what it was 30 years ago and still isn't what it is today. It's also not going to be what it is 50 years from now Nobody going to Koko will tell you that he is going to Warri. When you enter GIG bus in Abuja going to Warri, they will stop you at PTI junction in Effurun, Uvwie LGA. Will you tell them that they have not reached your destination. Everybody says there is Shoprite in Warri, would you say they are wrong, that Warri doesn't have Shoprite, but Effurun/Uvwie. Same applies for the airports in in "Warri", both the old and new ones, neither is in Warri as you know it Warri City is different from Warri Local governments like Enugu town is different from Enugu state. Cities expand naturally as time passes. You are Iwerre, right? |

garfield1: Omashola by blood is from warri and he grew up from there hence why I said he is the original warri guy.the akpofures origin can be traced to Udu lga.tuoyo is from warri north lga.95% of itsekiris are from the three warri lgas Warri LGAs and Warri town/city are two different things. Warri City now includes most of Udu, Uvwie LGA. Koko on the other hand, which is in Warri North LGA is not a part of Warri City(metropolis of you like) |
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Naija “All Stars“ 2023: Live Updates Thread by clefstone(m): 12:08pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
garfield1: Omashola is the only original warri guy in that house bar tuoyo it depends on what you mean. Warri by blood or by nurture(where one was raised). By blood, not all Itsekiris are Warri so Omatshola being Itsekiri doesn't make him automatically Warri, ditto Tuoyo. If they are Itsekiri from Warri, they are original Warri guys Pere said he attended Dom Domingos College in Warri, which means he is Warri by nurture. The Akpofure family is popular in Warri. I don't know if Neo was raised in Warri, but if he was, he is original Warri One housemate that has come on the show to falsely claim Warri is the Season 2 winner, Efe. He is neither Warri by nurture(he was raisesbin Jos) nor by blood Omatshola is the only housemate that says words we grew up with in Warri like the day he said okoloko(sparrow bird) or just now he said Moro Moro(bald head). He gives me that nostalgic feeling. Good ol' days |

Women can be really dangerous. The midget CeeC did exactly the same thing to Pere when she was jealous of Pere's closeness to her 'rival'. After he shared an innocent joke with the troublesome midget when he told her that she was moving with the enemy(an obvious joke), the midget went to tell Cross that Pere called him(Cross) an enemy. That was the genesis of the first issue Pere had with Cross.
The serially rejected Doyin, after Pere again had a convo with her in which he said Cross and Kim are just friends(a fact) went everywhere saying Pere is dumb not to see that Kim had chosen Cross over him. Isn't it obvious to us viewers that Kim isn't into Cross? |
