It is even stated in that article that the World Bank estimates further suggested that the number of poor Nigerians remained at 58 million adding that more than half of the figure are located in the North- east or North- west.. This means that more than half of the 58 million that are poor are from the north, and it is quite under stable since there is total neglect by their leaders in that region.. This leaves you with less than 28million people for the southern part of Nigeria and middle belt out of which the poor include the young children, the elderly, males and females. By the time you do a proper estimation, you will find out that the poverty statistics is no where near what you were shouting and clamoring about.
