The black soot is a big problem.
Most of the soot is produced @ night which makes me believe its as a result of illegal activities. Its so bad that if you go to wake up the next day your nostrils would be black...

One wonders how the lungs would be if a night's sleep results in inhaling such copious amount of black soot. The issue is the Government is paying lip service to this phenomenon. There is no way the military/police do not know there boys with these 'refineries'.

If this is not checked, people in Port Harcourt would start presenting ailments connected to lung disease. The worrisome aspect is that this black soot is all over Rivers state...not just Port Harcourt; so the big men notice it. I really don't know how but if you close all your doors and windows with the AC on, the soot still seeps in. This is a big issue.

Obudu Cattle Ranch is a great place. Every part of the ranch is unique and I have been unable to get a replica in Nigeria. I vividly remember the walk on the hills in which I could touch the clouds. The rolling bridge with across the valley, the waterfalls...its such a nice experience. I visited the ranch in 2012. Then insecurity was not what it is now. Back then it was pricey. A plate of food then for couple was N5000.....I was like wow....that was just oats and plantain.
After lunch, I rushed down to the village below to buy a stove, yam, bread and condiments for less than N5000. The rooms are very big and airy. You do not need an air conditioner. In fact, I had to light the fire place to warm the room.
Its a great place to go. The 3 days I stayed cost me N120,000 for lodging alone in 2012. I hired a 2 bedroom bungalow. The food for was N5000 for 2 after which I started cooking myself. I think the management need to work on the publicity/marketing. Also the resort needs to be pocket friendly and the state Government partner with a local airline to restore flights back to the airstrip.
The ranch is a major revenue earner if managed properly.

I believe the Boeing 777 Air Peace used is a passenger jet. This is a big jet. This then means that the passenger compartment was empty and only the cargo hold was utilized. Is this economical to fly to Turkey with a big empty jet and just filling on the cargo hold on the return leg. Would it not have been better to get a cargo jet that's smaller, lighter that would have been utilized better and consequently less cost per km.

There is almost no first world country without an residency plan that cannot be bought with money Canada, US, UK and so on, there are also countries you can buy their passports legitimately. So he could have gotten an entrepreneur visa for he and his family. Ship they off to the country of his choice and still keep his job. Thereafter, take an extended leave and see how the country is...cos the grass is not always green on the other side particularly if you have a job that pays serious money.
