In my opinion, the toll should be on third mainland. The bridge really needs the funds and needs money for a second third mainland bridge.

By the way, if you live and work in that axis you should be able to afford the toll. If you can’t then you take BRT. The BRT should have their designated toll lanes too.

The toll on 3rd mainland bridge actually makes more sense than where it is now. And to think that they are 3!

In NY, if you want have access to Manhattan you must go by toll. Lekki, VI and Ikoyi axis is similar. It’s the highbrow and commercial areas. There are alternate routes which of course are not convenient for a reason. In fact I noticed that when using satnav in America you are automatically routed through the toll, if you don’t specifically choose not to go through it. All governments Na scam.

In face when passing the toll you might not even know you just passed toll.

That's the problem, we always want to compare and justify what clearly is not needed with other places where things work.

Not been to NY but most of the modern cities I have been to don't have toll in cities, most have tolls interstate which is understandable.

Well from my understanding they are using the toll gates to recoup investment of the contractors. I could be wrong on that though. I have been to big cities in the west and there are toll gates when going from one area to the next. Having a car is a luxury in most big cities so they try to discourage car ownership and encourage public transport.

The tolls also help maintain the infrastructure especially in high traffic cities like Lagos. Infrastructure is bound to wear down really fast when there is such a high level of usage. To stay in a big city is not supposed to be cheap

Which western state that they will toll residential area so that every time you leave your house you must pay toll? 2 abi 3 tolls on that same road, although they don't have the liver to open the others. That toll should be at the outskirts of epe.

If they say they want to use it to maintain the road, I will not argue with them even though that line has been overused. October is not far, by God's grace we will be here to witness what will happen.

Good. This will work if well thought out. The toll barriers need to stay there because we don’t have adequate records to send people their toll bills at home. So, if they don’t have tag, the toll barriers don’t open. Otherwise we will have people speeding through without ever paying.

Somebody gets to the barrier and for some reason has not paid the barrier refuses to open for him, meanwhile there are already like 20 cars behind honking. By the time they realise what's going and decide to manoeuvre to another lane the chaos starts.

In advanced country, they usually have a lane where you can be attended to manually.. so I guess same partner maybe adopted to ease those without tag or cards
