I remember Tinubu saying Buhari is a destabilizing factor! I guess this is what he meant. Ever since Buhari became president with Tinubus help APC seem to be destabilized. Tinubu has no office, he is not a member of the NEC, neither is he in the NWC of APC, he is not an elected office holder and not the chairman of the party, even Atiku is vying to be APC BOT chairman. Where does that leave the supposed National leader of APC? All tinubu has now is the respect he had garnered over years as the leader of APC and it is fast being eroded by elected officers in the party who are getting bolder by the day and can therefore challenge and oppose his position as National leader that has no mandate behind it. |
No be only NECk meeting, it will soon be yansh meeting. |
This is logical. If they can allow same sex marriage based on rights, why would they deny polygamy? Its also their right. America, America! America! |
cococandy:You dey mind APC! During their campaign I saw Bola Tinubu in the TV chanting "certificate or no certificate, Buhari is qualified" holding a witches' broom while gesticulating and demonstrating like an overdosed banshee on heat. Now we are saying "naija citizenship or British citizenship, Saraki is the senate president" GBAM!! If they don't like it they should go jump inside river Niger since the lagoon would not contain all of them. |
Quota system and fed character tinz |
This our president is just doing things haphazardly. I expect him to do this but he ought to have done a number of things first. Army chiefs, Ministers etc |
If this joke of a gov had started planting Cocoa or any other viable product from the first day of his tenure, he probably would have been using the proceeds from the sales of the product to pacify the workers in Osun, but he decided to feed people, change sch uniforms and build a gigantic drum etc for his self ego. He deserves to be impeached. He is now waiting for money from the ND to settle worker. He has not gotten the Memo that our oil is being rejected by major buyers. Na india we dey sell to now, soon they would also find an alternative. |

obailala:Which rubbish stupid stellar idea is he talking about. Federal character and quota system are embedded in our constitution and PMB and his VP must make sure they adhere to it by appointing qualified people from all Zones. With this ridiculous idea they will now field a lot of people from about 2 zones claiming they are the most qualified as if other zones cannot have qualified people for the post or ministerial job. After fielding people based on zoning and winning the elections, they want to jettison zoning as if Buhari was the most qualified person without zoning the presidency to the North within their party. My point is until we do the right thing which is practice true federalism or regionalism we will continue to try to be smart by half. What they are proposing will only cause more disaffection in the country if any zone is marginalised further. I don't want to believe what was written about the restructuring of NNPC and the speculations of appointments thare but its what might happen here too. |
Am beginning to believe the rumour that Buhari will defect back to CPC. That would be a first! This type of disorganisation is really embarrasing to say the least. He will defect back to CPC where he has absolute power as the leader not here in APC where Lai Mohammed claims there are many leaders and they still can't get there acts together. If Buhari decides to go back to CPC, I assure you all his brothers will follow him, but it might a political suicide for 2019 for them. |
Now we know the type of change that was advocated! |
Its actually not a bail out per se. The Govs asked that monies owed them from fed govt projects they did in their respective states be refunded to them. Its only the 1.6B tax that the NLNG just paid that they asked to be shared amogst the states. They must share something sha. |
barcanista:We are in serious trouble in this country! From cluelessness to dullardness. Are we cursed? The govs are the ones advocating for this again! My question now is, will the money be shared only amongst the states that are owing or to every state, because that money belongs to us all and if some state govs mismanaged their allocations and get bail out it then means those who did not mismanage are either stupid or will also start deliberately mismanage funds because their is a precedence of bail out now fro the ECA. Some people are saying the monies will be given to the states with conditions of paying back with interest? I laugh, because a state that is in deficit now and can't pay workers will not be able to pay back. The fed govt will deduct from the states allocation which was not enough before to payback this bail out and the state will continually be indebted to the FG for life unless they start producing and selling something to generate other sources of revenue. Since they did not do this when the going was good, how will they do it now when they are begging for money for recurrent purposes. Am still laughing! Until we review our constitution and restructure the country, we are just moving round in circles. |
So who's fault was it that APC senator Elect were not present to make sure they occupied the seat of the DSP as was expected. PDP saw a loophole and opportunity where they took advantage. Politics is a game, and in games, when ur opponents makes a silly mistake, you take advantantage. Organising a meeting at the time they were suppose to be in the chambers for the election of principal officers was rather naïve and silly, especially when the president had not written to the clark to stay proceedings. Now you are complaining about the functions of the DSP because he does not belong to the ruling party. APC wanted the 8senate and Nigerians to wait for them to solve internal problems at their own pace, which is what we are seeing now with the ministerial list and other appointments. |
Nawa ooo Obasanjo! |
opososu:Even me sef tire. IGR from where? |
kazmanbanjoko:I will not join issues with a naïve teenager like you. |
kazmanbanjoko:With statements like this, sometimes I wished PDP had taken the SP seat. I wonder what all thes naïve APC supporters would have been saying. Imagine the line of thought of somebody 'PDP did not allow other party's have any position' It is a very silly statement and only makes tha actions of APC who went for a meeting at the wrong time look really stvpid and senseless to say the least. |
Are u sure 20,000,000 X 5000 = 10B or 100B? |
deebsman1:Didn't you get the memo, Atiku is the number 2 man in Naija. |
I even respect PDP and David Mark the more self. If they wanted to outrightly be in control of the senate especially, they would have got it. They kept to their words and allowed a new person from the APC to emerge as SP. Saraki is APC so what is the hullabaloo about with the APC. PDP had to stomach Tambuwal for 4yrs APC should do same. They are sore losers! |
If Saraki really said this then we are in for some serious drama if he eventually becomes SP cause I hear PDP might support him to deepen the cracks in APC. The relationship btw Mark and Sambo as VP was very cordial even though we know Mark weilded more powers, in this case, with statements like this Saraki will not even regard Osinbajo if he becomes senate president. It only makes things more interesting because Tinubu will also realise that this is not SW. Let's see how things pan out. Real action film today. |
When is LVG buying Oshoala? ![]() |
chuna1985:My thoughts exactly! |
If all these is true we will see how all will pan out. |
APC should get their acts together. I expected something like this. |
I hope Buhari is not confused with all the suggestions/advice he is getting from all and sundry. There is no Marshall law or Idiagbon to rescue him now. I just hope Tinubu's description of Buhari being a destabilizing factor will not play out when he eventually makes his decision because the way it is looking now is that no matter who he appoints to any post there would be rancour. I noticed that on threads where people tried to suggest appointments for buhari you only see names of southerners like BRF, Oby, Fayemi, Ngige, Amaechi, Duke etc no names from the north, while we are suggesting ours on Nairaland the northerners are also suggesting theirs for key positions directly to Buhari for key positions which makes me to conclude that we are all just selfish. True federalism/regionalism is the only way. Every state explore your your human and natural resources and pay tax to the center. The revenue from offshore exploration to be shared by evryone equally including the ND states, decentralise the center. This is the best way to move this country forward. |
wike is just exposing Ameachi to Buhari who will find it uncomfortable having a supposedly corrupt person like Ameachi in his cabinet or as an appointtee. It makes his anti corruption stand have some question mark if grave accusations like this are standing against Amaechi. Ameachi on the other hand feels he is an integral part of this govt and it would be morally suicidal for Buhari to hang Amaechi in this govt. i agree all these are accusations, but with pictoral evidences, it really makes Amaech look bad in the eyes of Nigerians and international community. lets see how it goes. |
slimghost:If LVG does not bench Rooney next season because he is captain regardless of his performances on the field then LVG himself must be a dolt. |
Why all these argument for a supposed striker/10 who can only manage 1 single away goal in a season. Rooney was a very good forward for us and has paid his dues, but for the last 3seasons he has been utter rawbish and over rated. He gives just what any average player would give with somewhat flashes of brilliance which are still regarded as normal. We can't relly on Rooney next season. If LVG buys another striker Rooney should not be guaranteed to start. He is good to be a squad player. His time of being regarded as a must-start player are gone. I hope LVG realises that. |
Na this kain thing Fayose dey sponsor. Lol |
