Whether this story is true or not is immaterial, any reasonable person can deduce that something like this has a high tendency of happening.

Tinubu has been hailed as the mastermind of the downfall of GEJ's govt, but the truth is there are many factors that lead to the demise of PDP at the center. They include;

GEJ himself and the impunity in his govt.
His aides and their utterances like okupe, Abati, FFk, associates like Fayose and wife.
The merger and Buhari's cult following in the North and Yes
Tinubus' steadfastness.
The angry Electorate!

All these came together to work in Buhari's favour. If Buhari and Tinubu had remained with their separate parties they would have lost to GEJ.

The truth is Tinubu influence will have to be managed and he needs to realised that if he demands for something now and Buhari refuses, whether in transition team or ministerial list there is nothing he can do about it.

My fear is by the time Buhari is settled in govt say like in one years' time his northern brothers can influence him to substantially reduce Tinubus influence and that's why Tinubu will do everything possible to get his men in a lot of juicy positions early when he has the momentum on his side.

In all this sef, does Osinbajo not have any say?

Herrera and Mata are pivotal to this team. They were the 2 players that suffered when LVG was experimenting with his formations but today they are producing the goods. Mata last game scored 2goals, now Herrera scores 2 today.

Di Maria came in and in a matter of minutes has an assist. Blind and Carrick are a blessing, Rooney is playing his preferred position very well.

Young was cool. Fellaini was average, Rojo, jones and Valencia were also gooD. De gea was on hols until his disgraceful mistake, but I will never hold it against him.

As for Falcao, he needs prayers ooo.

unfortunately, PDP don't have a "Tinubu" or "Buhari" that can make the party great again. OBJ would have been a great leader for pdp but he is already too old. Akpabio and Mauzu don't have the national followers and are more like local champions in their states. GEJ is an injured lion and I don't see him making a comeback so he should step down as the national leader of pdp. PDP only hope is to beg Atiku back to the party and lead the party back to its glory days. I think Atiku will come back to pdp if he is offer the opportunity to lead the party.

I disagree, Tinubu was a regional leader with the APC and they would have remained a regional party if not for the merger with Buhari who had a cult following in the north, coupled with the impunity in the jonathan govt that made neutrals to get upset with the Jonathan govt.

The PDP have a structure in every state and can still be a formidable opposition, the main issue is who will be ready to take it upon himself/themselves to stand up push for a come back.

Jonathan as the leader now and incumbent in which power changed hand cannot be the one that's why I did not mention his name. I believe the likes of Akpabio, Mark, Metuh, could stand and be counted.

It would be double tragedy for Naija if PDP fizzles away and we end up with a one party state.

Nothing is impossible with these politicians but the day I hear Akpabio, Mark and Metuh join APC then its over for PDP.

PDP will make a formidable opposition. The problem is who will be the one to carry the party as a leader? Mark, Akpabio and Muazu comes to mind, if they can stay and weather the lose now am sure they would pick up.

They can solidify their stand in the SE and SS and form alliances with SDP to have a strong base in the SW.

The likes of FFK, Okupe, Fayose, Clark and Bode George must be told to lie low because their utterances annoy a lot of people even when they are right, all because of their reputation.

PDP can do it, this was a shocker. They never believed it until it was too late.

They shud lick their wounds and move on, more determined.

We need an opposition.

Gaal is beginning to sound like someone who is under pressure. He's now trying to sound like someone who listen and is flexible.

Don't mind LvG jawe! After the Arsenal match he realised he only had qualifying for the CL as a target and if he failed in that it would be a disaster.

The players must have been disappointed and had a tet a tet where they explained what they were comfy with and he(LVG) decided to give it a try, hence the wonderful game against spurs.

He has now realised that he needs to be flexible in his approach. It would be hard for him to admit he was high handed.

Anyways, let the resurgence continue against Liverpool.

Take am easy. Not Gaal's fault. Remember we can play a lone striker now only because RVP is injured. No coach would have Rooney, Falcao and RVP and bench two of them, except when situation has pushed him to the wall.
Even on this thread, we questioned why Falcao was been given substitution roles early in the season. Later we wondered why he was allowed to play just 60 minutes whenever he was started. Even if he knew 4-3-3 was the best for the team, he wouldn't have been able to play it based on the players he had to select.

Its not LVG's fault! Its my fault.

So if playing a formation that allows one of your top strikers as lone striker upfront and it gets u the result against a formation that accommodates 2 of them, you'll continue with the 2strikers.

Its a blessing RVP was injured, let them fight for a place. If they are then played 2gether and click good for us, but as we have witnessed here playing 2 out of the 3-4 strikers we have has not helped our cause as expected this season.

If you have not noticed, we are still at the verge of losing out on top 4 with the posse right behind us and kinda brimming with confidence.

Even though I concede it would have been difficult to get back, we have thrown away precious points along the way. Swansea home and away, leicester, that's 9points we ought to have.

Even this fast paced forward passing positive attitude style will see the likes of Rafael get back into the team cos he likes to bomb forward and if the instruction was to keep possession, it definitely will not favour a player like rafael who moves forward with instincts.

A couple of weeks ago I said something alluding to the points LVG is saying now, that he needed to assess his players and take a decision on where they preffered to play and this definitely will happen after having a little comfortable talk with the players in a clear sincere environment. I believe that's what had happened and the arsenal loss made it imperative and necessary.

Now he is saying he is a listening coach that needs to be convinced. Let him not listen na and continue to play his 352 formation and end up in a worse position than oga Moyes when the players are not comfy with his style.

The way the lads dispatched Tottenham was just exquisite and I knew something had happened amongst the players and coaching crew. I just wish/hope the resurgence continues.

Imagine LVG saying he now favours 433 and is flexible. I laff.

I agree that barca's front 3 are a handful, but this is supposed to be City. Its just to easy for Barca, they are toying with city as it is.

LVG is the one causing all the problems with his sturborn and sentimental attitude in his selection and formation. We have said that the players we have may not be able to adapt to his 352 formations which is what paul scholes was alluding to but LVG still kept on playing it until recently.

We have also said that Rooney, Falcao, RVP and wilson should fight for a spot upfront so that creative players like Mata and Herrera can play the number 10 role. Rooney who has been shunted everywhere is now the one he is saying is doing well upfront something we all knew was Rooneys best position instead of playing him deep where he continues to ping balls to the right and left stupidly thereby killing our forward play.

Falcao might not survive this season with this show of shame in the reserve team.

For the record, there are players that I still feel are not United material even if it seems they are doing ok. Its because the mediocrity is too pronounced that's why we see any improvement in a player as playing well. Some of these players will never get a place in a Bayern, Madrid, Barca atleast these are clubs United should be robbing shoulders with.

We should spend the money like PDP!
