Obj was not backed by his people when he won election like how we see how the ss/se backed GEJ. In the Niger Delta what Ameachi did was tantamount to beterayal. People are emotional about it which might necessarily not be right but.....

But to be honest with honest, he had no choice because GEJ pushed him to it by not controlling that his glutonous wife who had no regard for elected office. Have u guys noticed that most of the names being bandied about Buhari's ministerial list, even for the juicy ministeries are mostly from the south. Fayemi, Fashola, Ameachi, David west, akeredolu, Ngige, Soludo, utomi, Adesina, as if na only southerners go enjoy. We re gonna be surprised indeed.

Ameachi is actually a lucky man, but the drama has just started. Buhari has continually said he won't appoint anyone who has a whiff of corruption attached his cabinet or appointees.

It is a well known fact it might be hard to find such people in Naija especially politicians who have had the opportunity of being govs.

If Wike probes Ameachi's govt and exposes some corrupt practices within his(Ameachi) tenure, how well will that bud with Buhari's administration if Ameachi is occupying a sensitive position in Buhari's govt. It will only make Buhari a liar if he allows Ameachi to continue with his appointment or make him a betrayer to Ameachi if asked to resign or left out of appointments.

Other politicians would be watching, especially if the allegations from Wike are weighty and obvious.

Does wike have the clout to withstand federal intimidation like Tinubu did during OBJ's govt?

Ameachi is an unstable character that will cause trouble even without being provoked. Its like its in his nature and there is nothing he can do about it.

With this attitude be sure that Ameachi will fall out with the powers in APC because he sees himself as one of the power brokers, which he actually is, but there are bigger powers in APC that will cut him down to size. It is already happening, from VP, to SGF which he probably get none.

Tinubu is looking to fill his men in petroleum and other juicy ministry. Ameachi might end up being minister of labour where he can be removed after showing his radical temperament in a labour dipute by not handling it well. Buhari will then kick him out and he will then realise he only has his state to fall back on, that's why he is probably fighting tooth and nail to still have influence in Rivers state.

all these talks are in the realm of mere speculations. I personally DO NOT WANT Amaechi as SGF. I'll prefer him as Chief of Staff who needs to learn from GMB at close range to be prepared for future possibilities (i see a future president or VP) or Minister of Interior or police affairs to show Mbu

Anyway, let us leave Speculations.....when the time comes, GMB will take everybody by surprise with the appointments. His taciturnity will be exhibited fully.

I wont advice anybody to place any bets on who will get what because you'll be in for a real shocker......

It is true that all these are speculation but we can't but agree to a large extent regarding the reasons given against Ameachi being the SGF. He is too tempramental for that post.

If Ameachi ends up as a minister it also means he can be removed anytime the president feels he wants to reshuffle his cabinet, say 2years into the Buhari administration and their would be nothing Ameachi would do about it.

As it is now, Buhari can even scheme Bola Tinubu out of the equation and I believe Tinubu knows this, that's why he needs to plant his men in juicy positions at this early stage.

It won't be palatable for Ameachi if he ever falls out with this party, he can't even run home. The friction now is that politicians have fought tooth and Nail to wrestle power from PDP and apparently expect to be rewarded, but Buhari might be disposed to appointing technocrats for his govt to succeed which might not go down well with the politicians - we don work others wan come chop.

Hopeful we have politicians who are technocrats, the question is, do we have such? Who are they and how many are they?

yes, i agree with you that jose is a hypocrite but i can not begrudge his tactical approach. it's been 5 years since they won the league....not too many chelsea fans would care how they go about it.

Rooney has been quite good in my opinion. but the point is we had other options we could have used in midfield apart from rooney, but falcao leading our line should not have happened in this match.
we had alternatives to rooney in midfield but no alternative to him in attack. RVP is obviously not fit to start a match and Falcao is just not fit to do anything.

Heard LVG is considering playing Rooney in front of whatever back four he manages to put together. This to me will be a disaster considering Rooneys lack of deft ball control.

Lvg should leave the attack with mata, young, Fellaini and Rooney. Herrera and Valencia should play the pivot with strict instructions to one of the to be more defensively minded.

The back 4 shud be Rafael, Smalling, Mcnair and Shaw.
