Lols! You have a point. Which is why we got no choice with regards to SH.

Brandbucket is very lazy. Imagine it takes up to 30 days to review just one name plus Low exposure and domain retargeting.
BB is good when a person wants to liquidate names I use to have 9 names but I let the names expire. I tried to liquidate them during 1 month grace after they had expired but I realized I couldn't transfer the names to BB..

But on SH I have 121 premium names and own 35.. on alter I own 18 all of them are SH and BB rejects..

When I noticed some of my rejected unregistered names on SH were getting approved for others I resubmitted like 5 names that were rejected that I own and 3 were approved.

It was submitted under 'unregistered' and available as at the time of submission. The thing just shock me. Brave/Bid is the domain name
Brave is a strong keyword. Bid is also a good keyword. Then the name itself is an alliteration..

Beware of SAV dot com there's someone or SAV themselves register names and put a price of $280 on them.

Sincerely, I wish other top market places like brand bucket can up their game and break SH's monopoly of unregistered names. I read somewhere that SH may reject some names due to oversaturation or abundance of similar names at the time. A better option will be to appeal those names or resubmit after 60 days, if you can't register yourself.

I'm begining to doubt their integrity though.
I haven't sold any name on brandbucket and most of my names ( 6 ) there barely get views. I think BB favors popular domainers with huge portfolios.

So alter and sh are my only hope.

Please, has anyone witnessed this before? A domain I submitted on Friday, got pre-approved today and was told to go approve. I clicked approved and noticed the domain has been registered and listed for $2k(I don't know where). What can I do in this case? I feel SH cheated me off this one
I submitted stack/hippo , cart/dove , small/rush, lex/alo , script/dove e.t.c all were rejected but months later they are approved on SH for other people.

Another thing is domainers think alike..

But I'm still suspicious...

Yes the distributor is a consumer representative who buys onbelf of HIS potential consumers for a commission from the manufacturers for his volume.

The vat paid buy the distributor is only transfered to the consumers. At every level of sale vat is inclusive but the manufacturers remit vat collected to govt.

It's like a relay race. Same baton is passed down not a different one.

Nope u don't understand the VAT is already inclusive at the point of purchase from the manufacturers, when u sell in jigawa u re only transferring the vat u paid to the manufacturers to the consumers because the are the final users.

Meaning the vat paid in Lagos is paid by the potential consumers of the products.

The dealer is just a channel or way to market for the manufacturers.

When he sale to jigawa consumers he is recovering his money inclusive tax paid and profit.

The tax in Lagos is on behalf of his potential consumers not the dealer.
Positivepoint:
The distributor did not add any value thus cannot charge VAT, the distributor is only a sales channel from the manufacturer to the consumers nothing more and get commission for his channel. The manufacturers whom added value to products the they manufactured and sell are the only people required to charge VAT. Ur degree is questionable bro.
You obviously don't know what VAT is..

If the distributor is not the manufacturer then the distributor is also a consumer who pays VAT when buying the products from the manufacturer.

The distributor ( wholesale consumer ) then sells it to other consumers ( small scale consumers like you and other people ) who will also pay VAT when buying it.

This revolution may not end or give the results the southern states are imagining.
The north has several minerals untapped, they will be pushing for it to be harnessed from the federal government The banking sector dominated by the west will be held by the juglar as northerners will pull out and set their own. Telecommunication too will suffer same fate. The Southerners doing businesses in the north will not find it easy again.

Remember, with technology and willing foreign partners, it will take little time for the north to achieve that and face the South tit for tat.
Hatred will set in, seccession will gain ground, foreign interests will expand and exploit the cracks, war will break out, advance countries sells ammunition to both sides and smiles to the bank and Africa will get destroyed and recolonised again.

So what do you think we are doing now as a country. A governor just because of a policy he wants to change will just open his mouth wide open and be insulting a whole region of a country just to spite the president or what?
Stop using fear mongering tactics..

Currently, VAT is paid to the state where the service is rendered or where products are bought... DSTV , telecommunications e.t.c pay VAT to the state they are in whether HQ or Branch does not matter.

if you sell products in Abia, you'll pay VAT to Abia.

If you own a company with HQ in Abia and that company has branches in 5 other states Lagos, Enugu, Ogun, Kano, Anambra and selling products in Abia and the branches are also selling products in those states then your company will pay VAT in 6 six states ( Abia, Lagos, Enugu, Ogun, Kano, Anambra ) and not to Abia only.

South West contribution to vat is as a result central report of vat collection by HQ of major businesses.

Examples all Telco, banks, manufacturers whom have there HQ in Lagos pay VAT collected centrally from there HQ.

If u buy recharge card the vat is not paid in ur state but paid in Lagos.

The vat on ur bank transaction is paid in Lagos. Etc

The huge VAT remittance in Lagos is as a result of central collection and of vats paid by consumers from all over Nigeria collected band paid through corporation how's in Lagos.

Vat is paid buy consumers of products and services.

Decentralization of VAT will see IGR of other states imporve and that of Lagos reduce.
Positivepoint:
Wow u still don't get it.

When a Kano man buys indomie or soap made in Lagos he pays including VAT.

When a Katina man buys recharge card he pays including VAT.

When a gombe man buys Panadol he pays inclusive of VAT.

The vat paid by the above people is remitted not in there states but in Lagos centrally through there HQ.

Remember VAT is paid by the consumers of manufactured products and services at the point of purchase.
Emir01:
I don't know the problem with our media houses. It's north when you're referring to Katsina, Borno, Kogi, Benue but when it is time to call states in d south then it's SW, SS or SE. Unnecessary fight and confusion. Only few peole know how VAT is working for the fact dat Lagos is collecting higher when this law start working I can tell u dat Lagos will reduce to more than 80% if you're making calls in Sokoto or banking in Anambra all d VATs are paying to Lagos because their head offices are in Lagos and the same thing goes to River state. There are more political move to this rather than genuine engagement by those governors and I can bet it that they don't have the capacity to implement d so call VAT in their states. The Northern States might decide to impose VAT on the food supply to the Southern states as well and all eyes will be cleared and realised that no region is an island. Am expecting them to engage revenue allocation agency and government b4 taking d matter to d court. The masses will be at the receiving end if care is not taking, one of the states that just passed d law doesn't not exempt Small businesses.
This is Wrong.

You don't know what VAT is...

VAT is collected in each state when a sale is made in that state.

Lagos has the highest population with the highest purchasing power in the country so it's VAT is always going to be high.

Lagos VAT can never reduce because it collects VAT generated only in Lagos.

Stop spreading wrong information.

Actually the guy's comment you quoted is a different issue to my comment you quoted. What he said there is about the issue of oil companies having headquarters in Lagos and paying PAYE to Lagos instead of Bayelsa where their main area of operation his. I agree with with he said that Lagos state is entitled to PAYE of oil workers whose office is in Lagos while Bayelsa is entitled to PAYE of oil workers in Bayelsa.

But the point I made in my comment you quoted is that it is unfair for companies that render services like DStv, telecommunication companies, etc to pay VAT of services consumed in a particular state to another state just because the state they pay VAT to is where their head office is located. It is the state where the consumer of services resides that is entitled to collect the VAT. Or the revenue should be shared between the two states.

It is wrong to do business in south south and be paying taxes in lagos that is what we are saying
datamillionaire:
Nigeria needs serious reformation in VAT law. I believe we are getting there.

It is wrong for a consumer who resides in Gombe state for example, to pay VAT on the service he consumes to another state simply because that's where the company's headquarters is located. That's somehow unfair to the state of residence of the consumer. At least, there should be a sharing of the VAT income between the state of residence of the consumer and the state where the company offering the service is headquartered.

I can now see that this VAT of a thing is far more complex than many of us realize and it's best managed if it is centralized, only that the way the income from VAT has been shared so far has been unjust to states who actually generates highest revenue. So I think amendment of VAT to make it more favorable and fair to states based on revenue they are able to generate is what is needed rather than each state collecting VAT by themselves. This is my opinion.
This quote below answers it

ajl:
This is simple but in Nigeria one plus one is often not two. Location of workers performing specific task for a company determines the state they pay tax to. If oilfield workers work directly in fields located in Bayelsa, then the tax go to Bayelsa. But only a fraction of oil industry workers work directly in oilfields. A bulk of them work in offices located elsewhere possibly in other states. Then those workers in offices pay tax to the state they are located in. How does Bayelsa State expect to receive income tax of oil industry workers that work and reside in Lagos? How senseless and greedy is that.

Is it that you subscribe in the north and VAT is paid to Lagos because that is where the hqrts of multichoice is sited?
I need clarity.
The payment service company the person in Gombe uses is located in Lagos.. if the person wants VAT to go to Gombe then the person should pay at any of the DSTV offices in Gombe..

" haven't you also asked yourself why in 1914 when southern Nigeria was making loads of revenue the british did not build planned housing estates, schools, hospitals, sports centers e.t.c all over southern Nigeria but they decided to join it with northern Nigeria and use part of the revenue from southern Nigeria to govern and finance northern Nigeria...

planned housing estates in southern Nigeria in 1914 will have eradicated mud houses in southern Nigeria and the catastrophe of unplanned housing you see in ibadan, ogun state and other places in Nigeria..

they could also have given southern Nigeria social benefits like unemployment benefits, free education, free healthcare e.t.c.. it was Awolowo that started free education.. if the b:ritish had started it there won't be so many Nigerians without formal education in 2021.

If the British were still in Nigeria there's a very high possibility that you TMTR and millions of others will have grown up in poverty.

And it is not ignorance because most of those devilish people that do this knows the effect of what they are doing and will indeed make sure none of their family members uses their products. It boils down to what I was alluding to, our values have been so eroded that once you can make the cash, it doesn't matter how or what you do to make it.
It has nothing to do with values..

when someone adds " killer chemical " to their products then that's a criminal offense that the food and security agencies of government are meant to investigate and prosecute.

Even if the elections are free and fair, they still will not guarantee good leadership
Return to sports and stop talking politics because the first problem with Nigeria that you and most people always to fail to understand or accept is that there was never place or ethnicity or nation called Nigeria..

second problem is Nigeria is a combination of different ethnic nations who have their own ethnic goals and buuhaari has shown that individual goals must be scrutinized so apart from ethnic goals, the person who becomes president also has his or her own goals.

third problem is the person who becomes president now has access and authority to the income, wealth and resources of other ethnic nations within Nigeria who work harder than his/her own ethnic nation. this makes it almost impossible not to steal or be corrupt because its human nature to covet what is not yours or does not belong to your ethnic nation as a lot of people are naturally incapable of been independent or not been able to create their own progress.

what you see in government in Nigeria is not a reflection of the people because people have different goals and most times people in government tend to recycle themselves in order to get and retain political offices..

last but not the least is due to fact that Nigeria is a combination of different ethnic nations means it can never ever develop collectively which means an ethnic nation within Nigeria can have better infrastructure, medical facilities, sports facilities, education e.t.c.. than other ethnic nations within the same Nigeria..

please lets live politics out of this thread, its not in the interest of globalists for the na:ira or African currencies to gain against other currencies because its the glo:balists way of ensuring that slavery continues. ( slavery without chains )...
