I think it is insensitive to say attack back. The killers are with sophisticated AK-47 riffles. The villagers are unarmed. So attacking back is out of it. With a government and a system that pets these bandits, it is literally difficult to think of attacking.
Either way, the slaughter is going on and something needs to happen to stop it. you're talking like a northerner who supports the killings.. that's one of the reasons I'm very particular about ethnicity and religion of the person I'm talking/chatting to... attacking back is about putting fear in them even with their A:K-47... the villa:gers have cutlasses, sticks and sticks that can be sharpened, dogs and other wild animals e.t.c. like I said the killings haven't stopped since the 1800s so its not stopping anytime soon, they are j:ihadists and "violent ethnic supremacists" THEY BELIEVE killing non-fulanis is an act of worshiping G:od... In your other comment that I wanted to quote before I saw this mention you said "He believes playing for the National team under this government is supporting the government.".. the keyword here is "believes" ... what the man's believes are very wrong... just the same what you believe concerning the SF situation is also very wrong. |

Because all is well in your city, does not mean all is well in Nigeria. If you value a life in this country, then a shiver will run down your nerves when you notice the hundreds losing their lives and living in fear. if the people who are losing their lives and living in fear value a life then they should also at:tack the people that are k:illing them. the killings started from when f:ulanis were welcomed by the h:ausas with the approval of their e:uropean masters.. the br:itish used h:ausas and f:ulanis militants to carry out attacks, ra:pes, burning down of communities other ethnic nations that didn't agree with the br:itish from the early 1800s till 1914 and the h:ausas and f:ulanis militants was converted to what is now the Ni:gerian P:olice Fo:rce and mil:itary.. the kill:ings didn't start in 2021, you just hear of it more because of technology.. |

fabyom: I pray for you to find peace. So much hate in your heart. The resources you are talking about na you put am there. The resources belong to God therefore the resources belong to humanity (everyone). You can nag from now till eternity Nigeria will stand. The only people that will pay the ultimate prize are those praying for its downfall either from the North or the South! Nobody will fight any civil war for one imaginary country. That time has passed. You challenge the sovereignty of a nation you collect. Simple as ABC. spoken like a true northerner... there's a difference between hate and profiling... when a whyte person attacks anyone of African descent then it is usually considered to be racial attack, when an African attacks another African of a different African ethnicity then it should also be considered a tribal or ethnic attack. the resources I'm talking about would have belong to independent countries if bri:tain had separated ethnic nations that already had sizeable population but they didn't... so you can keep sponsoring your j:ihads and anti-south mantra... I don't care, I am not calling for Nigeria's to separate, besides Nigeria is not a nation, its a group of nations. |

I watched the video and I must say, I think the man was right.
Some might say he should not have taken it out on the ladies who just want to fly the flag and represent their country but the man made few salient points.
Football is now a global Force. If we paint that all is well in Nigeria, we do a great disservice to the hundreds dying everyday under the mayhem of the mismanagement of the current administration.
He is an old time footballer, he is letting us know that it is wrong for Nigerian youths to play for the country.
Flying the flag under and evil Government is the same thing as supporting them.
I never knew that but the man made his point clear. Protested in the way he knows how and maybe he might have started a change from another angle. the h:ausa man was wrong very wrong... stop saying nonsense.. no ha:usa person should ever complain about terr:orists in Nigeria... the money their governors from southern Nigeria's revenue is what they use to help and sp:onsor terr:orism. he is the only h:ausa person that's pretends to be against this government.. his fellows h:ausas in katsina came en masse to greet b:uhari.. all I see taq:qiya from the h:ausa... |

Yar adua a fulani was never like him
He is kind of person....he has been like that from time.... someone that arrested former vice president Alex Ekueme puts him in kirikiri while shehu shagari who was the president was put in house arrest.... he never visits the south all this while he has been campaigning in 2003, 2007, 2011 because he feels the vote from the north was enough to make him president...
He openly supported gov. Yerima adoption of sharia law in Zamfara in 2001 and implored other governors to do same.... his remarks prior 2015 u can attest
So his kind is rare.... many nigerian politicians are not like that though they can be preoccupied with stealing but religious fanaticism it is rare Hel rufai is like that, current k:astsina gov is also like that, g:arba s:hehu is like that. There are many like him. |

That's why I am hoping and praying someone like Osibanjo or Peter Obi emerge as nigeria president come 2023.....there will be changes politically, economic and social cultural transformation.....

I'm probably Onuachu's biggest hypeman on this thread. You can check through my history here. I've been praising and posting Osimhen pictures here more than so many people including you. Philosopher1979: Kwame Nkrumah said "I was not born in Africa but Africa was born in me". Bob Marley was actually half caste (his father was a white man) but he fought for Africa all his life with his music. Diasporan Africans contribute to the development of Africa (and in this case Nigeria) more than even the native born ones. A lot of our foreign born players can actually build academies in Nigeria. Who told you Leon Balogun or Tammy Abraham will not be interested in building football academies, investing in our league or even starting companies in Nigeria? They simply have to be stimulated. Diasporan Africans are helping Africa in many ways. According to a website "$25 billion annual remittance by Nigerians in the Diaspora was more than 80percent of the country’s annual budget and formed about 6percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)”.
Its about who you feel allegiance for and it is a thing of the mind. Even foriegn borns that did not play for us can invest in our Economy. As per the issue of playing for a country, Anybody can play for anybody. Emmanuel Olisadebe played for Poland even though he was born and bred in Nigeria and even played in the Nigerian league Holland actually wanted Salomon Kalou to play for them when he was young. So it doesn't allways work like that. Nigeria needs her disaporan Africans in order to grow and develop in all aspects of life the same Nkrumah deported Nigerians.. there are also thousands of Nigerians in the diaspora who don't send anything to Nigeria... when I say it now I mean both foreign born Nigerians and Nigerians born in Nigeria but who left Nigeria. the energy you guys use in trying to discredit Nigerians born in Nigeria must be reduced to its lowest minimum... |

JohnBullMySon: So this is what you're afraid of? What makes the ones born in Naija more entitled to the National team?
If you start this, you'll not be different from English fans insulting Saka.
I'm sure if they all "looked typical Nigerian" you'll not have much problems, but the differences in complexion is beginning to worry you a bit.
There are still very talented players from Nigeria that will still make it to the team no matter what, but even at that, it doesn't matter who plays. We need the best players to move forward. Nigerians insulted Yakubu for missing open net... now you're trying to put words in my mouth, I never mentioned "complexion" or "looked typical Nigerian"... Saka is darker than me that's born in Nigeria and spent time under Nigeria's hot sun If Saka was playing for Nigeria, he would have never been allowed to take any of the first 5 penalty kicks.. stop putting words in my mouth just to discredit me which is the main issue I am against because you guys will bring up issues to discredit players like iheanacho, osimhen, simy, onuachu, oshoala, ajibade, ordega e.t.c. |

It's the government job to boost economy besides you don't have to play for the SE to make it in football, those guys playing in eastern Europe dey make money like mad. The SE should only be for the best irrespective of where they got their football education from you're right but its not just the government's job to boost economy... that means players like Ahmed Musa, odegbami who has built training centers/ academies in Nigeria should not build such things but wait for the government to build such players like oshoala, oparanozie, ordega should stop their football outreach programs for young girls and wait for the government to start its own all these players have one thing in common, they were born and trained in Nigeria and when they want to give back they give back to their Nigerian community... How many foreign born players have done such in Nigeria |

Simple! because of the environment the foreign born grow up in.. some of them will be better... and I'm also looking at the economic benefit to the Nigerian born players.. playing for Nigeria upgraded Okoye career drastically.. so Nigerian born players won't be able to upgrade their careers because the national team will be majorly foreign born players.. |

fabyom: No problem, I am sorry for calling you an ethnic bigot. I do think foreign-born players are also foreign-based players. Onachu and Desser are in the same team but Onachu is performing better and he is deservedly invited ahead of Desser. Sanusi plays ahead of Aina. Against USA Onome and Ogbonna started ahead of Zogg. Also, Oshoala and Ayinde started ahead of the foreign-born players. We do have training camps ahead of a major tournament where every qualified player is invited. Therefore, I do not see any need for entitlement. If you are good you should be selected no matter your place of birth! they ( some people on this thread ) want the national team to be at least 90% - 96% foreign born players.. players like iheanacho, osimhen, chukwueze, oshoala started from Nigeria with poor training facilities.. while players like dessers, aina, okoye started with at least above basic training facilities so naturally they are also good to be selected... if you add "no matter your place of birth" to the issue, Nigeria can pick 30 players who are foreign born and that will totally freeze out players like iheanacho, osimhen, chukwueze, oshoala.. I am saying Nigerians born ( and trained ) in Nigeria but playing abroad should be given a quota of at least 50% because the amount of foreign born players Nigeria has can permanently sideline the foreign based players.. |

you have serious problem. So you want quotas to be introduced when selecting players for the national team as if there are only 3 tribes in the country. Tell me the quotas players from Ijaw, Kanuri, Fulani, Jukun, Idoma, Tiv, Ibibio, Ogoni, Berom, Oron, Etche, Ikwerre, Gwari, Anang and others should occupy to better represent your ideal Nigeria? Because last time I checked there are Nigerian clubsides with equally competent players in the regions where those people exist. Karlovych: You were the one who used the word "better" in your argument. Why would someone who got 8As be picked over someone with 9As? That is why it's called competition. There are several times when league titles are decided by a parameter called goal difference, it doesn't mean the top two teams aren't competent but one was clearly better than the other on key parameters that matter the problem here is we are talking about life in general not a leaderboard / league table.. someone who got 8As will be picked because his also competent and gets his/her quota. If person A is the best person in his/her state and his state government advertises vacancy for 100 positions and they write an exam to determine the 100 people and the exam total is 50. 150 people apply for the vacancy and the results come and person A position is 101 with a score of 49/50 while the top 100 who are not from his state also get 49/50 ( from 114 - 40 ) and 50/50 ( from 39 - 1 ) .. using your logic, person A must be rejected... end.. |

Quota system for foreign based players because Buhari stopped the home based players parents from traveling abroad? If you had read the post from when this issue started you'll have seen where I said: Foreign born players and foreign based players are 2 different things entirely. I:henacho is a foreign based player while Okoye is a foreign born player. I:henacho is not from the local league.. it's about protecting players like nacho. protecting the quota of foreign based players and Nigerian based players ( players in U17 and U19 and Academy players not NPFL players because the age of NPFL players is questionable ). please let it end here... |

chucs: While growimg up, my dad insisted that education is the best legacy he would give us.
Look let me tell you, greatness is in all parts of the world. Regardless of the person's background, the individual will always thrive. So the land is big enough for everyone to thrive, just that corruption never really allowed the country to move forward.
While growing up, most elderly people within my area, with only primary school education speak and write good English. Not to even mention those that were able to complete secondary education. They were mostly employable.
The reverse is now the case as some graduates are unemployeble. It is an unfortunate situation really. Please some people that studied abroad are not necessarily more knowledge than some people here. We have or should I say had good brains here cuz corruption have made them to move out in search of secured future for themselves and their families. Yes the land is big enough but the opportunities are not big enough for everyone to thrive. Northern Nigeria is big enough but the opportunities and money are in southern Nigeria and that's one of the reasons they won't want Nigeria to separate. More graduates are actually employable now than then but opportunities are scarce. Please let it end here. This is a sports thread. |
