So according to hundreds and thousands of African Americans graduate yearly from University but "black and brown" people who in your own words are sometimes better than them get the jobs.
Let's put this your analogy into practice would you prefer a competent pilot or doctor to fly you or treat your illness as the case may be or just a crap pilot or doctor?
This is one of the many problems of Nigeria and so many people
Someone who has 9A's and a person who has 8A's and one B2. The someone has a better result than the person and that means both of them are competent. But the someone with 9A's will get picked over the person with 8A's who is also competent.

Stop trying to modify my comments to suite your narrative.

I had to respond to this.
I'm done.

I would have liked to engage you on some issues you raised here but as it stands, I hardly even understand what you are saying. Who are the B&Bs and what makes the AAs different and more indigenous than them?

Nevertheless, I'll advise we just end this topic and stop spamming the thread. And let me tell you, that someone was born outside Nigeria doesn't mean he's definitely going to have a better life. Forget about social media deception, a lot still do struggle. My own is that everybody who desires to represent the nation should have equal opportunities to do so.
Indian migrants , African migrants , Haitians, Jamaicans and anyone with melanin whose ancestors weren't enslaved in the U:S for over 400 are considered B&Bs..

AA's are also called B&Bs by the media and this makes opportunities meant for them go to other B&Bs groups afterall if an African/indian migrant gets a job in a Whyte dominated company they will be classified as AA in the company's racial diversity report.

Let's stop here. I'm only responding because you claimed not to know who B&Bs are..

Another important thing is that there is nothing like equal opportunities. One group will have higher percentage of people than other groups. As long as that one group is not trying to sideline other groups it will be okay.

I will not respond again.

U need to wake up to think that sentiments are mostly tribal

Sentiments can be attached to race, tribe etc the one you're used to is tribal because that's the one u are more consumed in

We're talking about patriotism other know as nationalism...the absolute love for your country thats why many of us are here because we love the national team

So oga promoting tribal sentiments in nigeria is inimical and against the peaceful coexistence of this country and thats not patriotism oga
you live in a wonderland...

I just hope one day when you get a government position that involves managing people of different ethnicities you don't start acting like your c:urrent p:resident...

That's patriotism oga not tribal sentiments you've showed this evening from your write ups
Please let's end it here...

to have patriotism you need to have sentiments and most sentiments are tribal..

South Africa is developed but its the "whyte side" that was developed first, will you call that patriotism huh huh

U:S is developed but AA's couldn't use the same bus with whyte people ( even in South Africa ), the thriving business district that AA's created for themselves was burnt to the ground by whyte people.. will you call that patriotism huh huh
U:S is developed but it was a crime to be black and educated, will you call that patriotism huh huh huh

please this is a sports thread. let it end here.

This is wrong. Any general scholarship any American born in American can get, an American born in Nigeria can get the same if they have the necessary skills
Please this is sports thread, if I have to explain this issue the entire thread will be derailed...

I dislike when people from outside a region/place are feeling entitled to 100% of all the opportunities in that region that they don't belong to just because they look down on the credentials of the original owners and leaving the original owners with 0% or "3%" and the only way to fix it is to create a quota, a quota where the original owners always have at least 55%...

please lets stop here...

the U:S is a different ball game entirely...
O:bama is not African American by ethnicity but he became the first b:lack president..
H:arris is not African American by ethnicity but he became the first b:lack vice president..
A lot of opportunities that should go to African Americans go to people that are considered "black and brown" people...

when African Americans complain people like you call them lazy meanwhile there are hundreds of thousands of African Americans graduating from university yearly but other "black and brown" some of whom have better results than AA's get the jobs...

Again, please let's stop here,
I won't respond to any comment regarding tribalism as you guys don't seem to understand the difference between blocking/ side-lining COMPETENT indigenes from opportunities and sharing their opportunities with them by ensuring they ( COMPETENT INDIGENES ) get 55% quota..

you have no idea what racism is... let me quote American Gangster, Racism is when people of a different race come to a another person's house who is of a different race and maltreats or even kills the person...

I hope you understand that whyte people have to protect their interests especially in their own countries ( not the U.S because the U.S is a country with both Africans Americans and Europeans living there for hundreds of years ) just that most of them don't know how to be racist without been condescending, violent, abusive and derogatory towards another race.

if you're so concerned about racism then you should be more concerned about N:igeria's current pr:esident than me...

I hate anything tribal and religion fanaticism
lack of sentiments is why a govt official will take money meant to develop a local govt in his/her home state outside Nigeria or even outside his/her home state and put it somewhere else and when his people complains he/she blames the FG...

tribal sentiments and religious sentiments must never be in the same sentence.. they are two different things entirely...

so you're saying states like Bayelsa, Akwa-ibom e.t.c.. should employ only Yorubas and Igbos because they get the best scores yearly both in waec , jamb and university courses.

when was the last time someone who wasn't Yoruba or Igbo got the overall best result in Jamb, waec, university courses... To you does it mean that people who are not Yoruba or Igbo are dullhuh

If we go by merit based on results in Nigeria, Yorubas and Igbos will clear out most of the opportunities in Nigeria...

I tell u so annoying in the 21st century we're still running quota system little wonder why our public service is in shambles and the private sector making more progress because they ensue themselves of this mediocrity and lopsided mode of picking and sourcing talents unlike in the public sector
you don't even understand what quota system means...

the quota system you're talking about means employing the wrong people just to collect salary which is what we see in Nigeria's ( especially northern Nigeria ) public sector which leads to important departments been under-staffed and few govt employees responding to thousands of Nigerians which leads to queues upon queues at several govt agencies..

the quota system I'm talking about involves hiring competent university educated Nigerians ( Nigerians that can defend their degrees ) to do jobs and not hiring incompetent university educated Nigerians who score 34 / 400 in jamb and got admission and also ended up graduating with similar results but will be given govt jobs ahead of other competent people from the same ethnicity.

So linking to sports....host communities should have reserved slots huh If you're even fair enough you should know that shell and others do give minor percentage to host communities and the talents ought to be competent prior consideration

You need wipe your thinking and ensure it is devoid of sentiments reasoning like this made us loose alaba and many other world class players that would have played for us

Right now we need the best everywhere while we develop our local leagues and tourney to meet standards
you have to be trained to be competent, most footballers and athletes attend at least a football academy or sports academy before they can be considered for a professional career.. so most professional athletes you see today have the competency ( necessary sports education both theory and practical ) but the talent may not be there.

you can't compare players that play for Manchester United and players that play for bristol rovers fc.

the A:laba situation is a different issue entirely, can also be attributed to toxic tribalism against the SW... its the one of the same reasons Nigeria didn't tie down Saka, Akanji , adebayor e.t.c..

Your last paragraph does not follow because we still struggle to get jobs here in Nigeria wit thoss that schooled abroad jostling for same job slots like in NLNG, TOTAL, SHELL etc and the best get picked let it be so in sports let the best be picked irrespective of their country of birth or residence
this your comment does not also follow because host communities also have their own designated job slots, scholarship , give-aways e.t.c. that people living outside the host communities are not aware of...

my comment stands...

Protecting quota systemhuh

You Nigerians rarely make progress in this country because of sentiments

People should be given the opportunity to play out of competence and not sentiments whoever meets the qualification and can deliver should be picked

This quota system enshrined nothing but mediocrity
Picking competent foreign based players is not mediocrity.

Nigeria currently has competent Nigerians in Nigeria and outside Nigeria in a lot of professional fields.

So you're saying we should let the ones in Nigeria become jobless and hire only Nigerians born outside Nigeria.

Would your parents have been able to send you to school if only Nigerians with foreign degrees were getting all the jobshuh

DrLikita12:
The simple solution is to invest in the league. I don't believe in reserving spots for home based players, European based players or foreign born players except at the U17 level. If we want to compete at the highest level, we need the best players whether they play in the NPFL or Europe. If we are not seeing enough NPFL players, we need to take a look at our league and its shortcomings. If the league was better, we wouldn't be having this discussion because players from the league will be able to compete at a higher level (either due to improvement in the league or the ability to move to better teams).

Yes, our football growth will be limited by the state of our nation- bad roads can make transport unsafe for club players, but there are things we can do in the short term to help. Improving facilities and televising the league are two things that can be done within the next 2 years if the LMC is serious. Televising the league will bring in money, force people to be on their best behavior and give people the freedom to play at their best. More money= more investment in players, coaches, facilities, training, youth programs, etc. Unless we address the the root of the problem we will keep coming back to this issue.
like I told JohnBullMySon...

protecting the quota of foreign based players and Nigerian based players ( players in U17 and U19 and Academy players not NPFL players because the age of NPFL players is questionable ).

That way all opportunities to play football in. Nigeria will be reserved and secured for them and they will DEFINITELY DEVELOP into world class players playing ONLY IN NIGERIA.

Can we just end this classification of players into homebased and foreign based. Its a subtle form of apartheid.

The worst is that once it's mentioned, someone will immidiately start talking about NFF, Pinnick and the local league, as if the use of foreign based players is a disgrace. The league needs improvement, yes. But that has nothing to do with foreign based players.
Foreign born players and foreign based players are 2 different things entirely.

We are not doing enough to develop our local leagues especially the NPFL and secondly lot of nigerians have migrated out of this country in the past 20 years so you should expect their kids to identify with nigeria in sports likely and others

For example my sister kids talk lot about nigeria each time i talk with them over the phone, their favourite meal they told me is Nigeria jollof rice and they love eba and egusi alot..... this are kids that dont even have a Nigeria passport so tell me should they have the opportunity to identify with nigeria tomorrow they would waste no time to do that

Think the discrimination qnd biased sentiments against foreign born players is simply born out of short sightedness and non exposure because we can be in same shoes some day most especially those of us that dont mind relocate out of the country
There are more Nigerians in Nigeria than Nigerians outside Nigeria so it's about protecting the interests and opportunities of Nigerians born in Nigeria.

We're blacks, not dumb. Let's, at least, read about these things to understand them better even if we're not in a position to help.
If the earth continues to get warm it'll cause the ice in the north and south poles to melt which will lead global flooding in some parts of the world.

The heat will also cause thirst, skin diseases etc. I don't need to read about what I already know.

Lol... You people and this "the west wants to kill us" outlook. The west has been at the forefront of the war against ozone depletion for years while Africa hardly knows the meaning of that expression. Because one ex-president did not make it his priority, it suddenly implies they mock it thinking it would consume the the "third world" countries alone? Does that even make sense? Even a baby wouldn't think like that.
Africa and in fact when the whole world had melanin every where was a garden. What you call jungle and forest and bush were once gardens and this helped maintain the Earth's temperature until Whyte people came and started destroying everywhere.

People with melanin don't have to worry about heat or any so called warming because their bodies was built to absorb heat.

The amount of names you can submit as unregistered for premium listings depends on the person's "approval rating". I'm saying this because I can submit 10 unregistered names for premium listings.

My approval rating is 11.26.
