Selection should be for "Better Players". Not where from North, South, East, West or Foreign. You see what I'm saying.. your method will sideline and discriminate against players.. Selection should be from north south east west and foreign but those from north south east west should be given a higher percentage than foreign. |

When you agree to the above then we can start to discuss discrimination against foreign born Nigerians. I will even support you on it... When northerners get better players than Southerners they'll automatically be allowed to have a higher percentage of players. But majority of sports is given to southerners for reasons I don't know.. |

wayodude: Quota's for guaranteed places are counter productive. They just breed laziness. If all players are deemed to be eligible why place a quota of where they come from? Should we have a quota for the under represented North?
Merit over quota is the only assured way of eliminating complacency and ensuring you are represented by the absolute best you can put forward. There's already a quota for northerners that's why Musa and some northern players must make the team. Representation should be by the HOMEGROWN players Nigeria has to offer and HOMEGROWN players who merit it. |

When it comes to the national team, representation should be by the best. Not status or where you were born. I have insisted that age grade tourneys should serve as development platforms due to the gulf in class with respect to opportunities and education.
However, the main National team is to win honours and bring pride to the country. You can not sacrifice results at that stage to give people opportunity.
What you need at that stage is a fair format to select the best. That is given a fair chance for the best to qualify. That is why I still recommend a camping and screening exercise at certain intervals, likely every two years.
At the end, we should get that we have no right to restrict their participation.
It is their right. It is their country and home. Whether born in Nigeria or not. Give all fair opportunities by selecting only the best. Representation should be by the best HOMEGROWN players Nigeria has to offer and not the best Nigerians born outside Nigeria. |

A lot of southern Nigerians don't know or don't admit that no matter how good one or if a person means well for the people that person can be sabotaged by other people... its the same issue we are talking about with foreign born players... some people ( especially on this thread ) want to sabotage the homegrown players no matter how good the homegrown players are just to ensure foreign born players are included in the team. they don't what to admit that Nigeria has better homegrown players. |

TheGoodJoe: I think we should stop the discrimination here. We select the best should be the criteria for selection. Not where you are born. I will only prefer home grown selection for underage teams to help many here who lack support to succeed.
However, I still propose large camping and screening exercises from time to time to select the best that suit the system of the coach. Not colour of skin or place of birth.
It is disheartening seeing attacks on our brothers because of where they were born. what you see as discrimination, is not discrimination to others defending home grown players in fact it will be seen as you who is discriminating against home grown players.. what you also fail to consider is that a lot of Nigerians born in the mid 80s and early 90s would want some of their children to go into sports especially football since most of our parents focused on education then getting job, people now will want their to focus on both education and sports and other things.. you're trying to pour sand and cement to block their plans.. they'll see it as you're been wicked.. I have said a quota system of 70% - 80% homegrown players and 20% - 30% foreign born... the only team I would 30% - 40% foreign born is the Super Falcons but again homegrown football women need it more than the foreign borns because most european leagues use their women leagues to provide jobs for their own women.. |

It is in Nigeria and africa we elect dumb presidents that cant speak any other official language beside English presidents of togo, benin, niger, chad, mali, senegal, ivory coast don't know how to speak english they speak french.. most African presidents and Africans themselves speak the language of the country that colonized their own country. First issue is you denigrate African languages. second issue is you denigrate African presidents. what's next I don't think from a multi-national point of view, I think from an African ethnic point of view... the goal of a true African is to empower Africans and African culture not to make Africans suffer from extreme inferiority complex like you're exhibiting now... most Africans won't work in those places they'll work in their home countries so its the local languages that's spoken in their own countries that are important... someone who works in a multinational company in Nigeria will still use the local language of where the company is located to communicate especially when at least 70% of the employees are of the same ethnicity.. |

I appreciate your response as well, fergusen.
Update: I later checked the registration time of those domains and I found that some were registered before the drop time shown by ExpiredDomains. That's strange to me. Everyday dot com domains start to drop after 7pm. A lot of names are caught as soon as they drop by domain investors who use websites that provide the service to get names immediately they drop.. Sites that provide this service are dropcatch dot com Namejet dot com Snapnames dot com. e.t.c Prices vary amongst the sites to catch a name. Next time once it's 7pm go to registrar you use to buy names then enter the name in domain search bar then search the name then click the add multiple domains option ( in some registrars you don't need to click add multiple option) then repeatedly click the search button until the domain button changes from "Taken" to "$9.99" then click buy now. Make sure you close browser tabs if your internet is slow someone else might get the name.. Note:. If another person has used a catching service on that name then you can't get it unless you also use the catching service then you and other "catchers" will enter a bidding war or auction to see who wins. |

Apus: God bless you for this very important observation boss.
I believe there is a thin line between just being a domainer and being a domain investor, though they may mean the same thing. For me, I believe the latter is well informed and is able to seize rare opportunities to to make great profit. That something is free doesn't mean we should throw precious gems away, which is one of the reason the big players we see today in the industry are where they are today. Let's learn to spot high Value premium names. They are even quick to sell. I just laughed when one of us here called me greedy when I refused to approve a name on SH but rather chose to register myself just cos I realized I was about to make a big mistake. Kudos to SH for giving domainers such a great platform to own domains without commiting a lot in investment. However, I believe if one is to make a great deal from this industry one should be serious enough to commit a little amount and at least own one or two. The only name I ever sold (aside wholesale marketplace sale) on SH made me an instant millionaire. Why? I knew which names to register as a creative name. Unlike Geo names, Brandables don't sell like everyday other day, hence, the little we are able to sell, should be able to bring in something colossal. Our growth in this industry is dependent on this knowledge. Peace!! I don't know if you have over 100 domains but by the time you have over 100 domain names every domain name that is approved can make you an instant millionaire if you own it because you can set the price up to $3,699 or more.. I don't know if your name c:ardi:otherap:ist can go higher or if SH has adjusted its pricing ( normally $1999 - $2999 or $2799 ) for people who have less than 100 names because when I had less than 70 names the highest name I had could reach $3599 but now that I have more than 100 that same name can reach $4499... the highest domain name I have now can reach $5299 and its SH owned .... Anyway, the main reason I quoted your comment is to ask if SH approves an unregistered name and you reject it and then buy it then submit it again will SH approve it again instantly or do you have to wait for 2 months to be able to submit it again? |

You on the other hand because you comfortably live a mini abroad life here in Nigeria think people who are not as privilege as you are because of selfish and greedy government shouldn't complain about how dilapidated a country Nigeria is..
I bet you'd speak ill and even worse about Nigeria if you switched places with who are not as privileged as you are. Nigeria is where it is today because people like you like to deceive themselves that they can "see life through the eyes of poor people"... the day Nigerians stop "seeing life through the eye of poor people" is the day Nigeria will experience rapid development... there is no such thing as a poor person... who do you classify as poor? someone can have a well paid job and still be poor especially if that person lives above their means... I am not privileged, I don't live above my means and I don't live life to impress people.. only people who live above their means and to impress people are the ones who want luxury apartment, luxury car and well paid job to boast and brag to people or want people to assume they are doing well.. some parts of Nigeria will always be dilapidated because one side of Nigeria was amalgamated with the wealthy side of Nigeria in 1914 and over 55% of that wealthy side revenue goes to the one side who were always meant to be an average country... this is the major problem people of the wealthy side of Nigeria face and most of them can't see it and admit it... 55% Revenue that should go to the upliftment and infrastructural development of the wealthy side is given with the one side, the british saw how wealthy and powerful the wealthy side will become and they put things in place to prevent the wealthy side from becoming extremely successful... |

Every country on the surface of this earth is not so bad when you have money. Imagine the statement from this dude propped up in his luxury apartment, luxury car and well paid job 'Nigeria not so bad as you all paint it'. Nonsense millions of people in Nigeria are more comfortable than Springboot.. Nigeria didn't start in the year 1960, millions of Nigerians have generational wealth.. your comment reeks of envy.. he doesn't need to live in a luxury apartment or have a luxury car or well paid job to make comments... As long as his working and he can pay his bills and have savings then he can live comfortably and its the same for anyone... your problem is you want to live a luxury life, own a luxury car and have a well paid job before you believe you're living comfortably and that's a negative mentality to have... from this your comment, Your other problem is you're ready to verbally attack and most likely also physically attack Nigerians that you assume are doing better than you... that he said he lived in the U:S does not mean its true as anyone can say anything online but its likely true as I said a lot of Nigerians have generational wealth especially if you come from a family whose grand parents were university educated and even great grand parents were university educated. |

It may work in Europe, but over here in the tropics if sparogatively the vacine works, I have a feeling these mosquitoes would mutate and evolve. I don't know the economic importance of mosquitoes. I'm quite certain they don't have, except to sing off key and spread malaria upandan.
But you should know, does little things hate to be sidelined. How do I know? Anytime I hear their Tonto Dikeh voices humming past my ears, I just know they have bigger plans that eyes have not seen neither have ears heard. Malaria is one of the most underrated illnesses that kills loads of people in tropical areas than anything else. If this succeeds, then its au revoir to Chloroquine and other malaria and antimalarial drugs.
Question again is, will those mafias who specialize in distributing malaria drugs be interested in the vaccine? AuntRose: Africa can't develop one but will wait for a white man who's alien to the disease to develop one for them, if it's carry religion for head it is A1 nairabacks: How is it bad news for them.
You will suddenly see new strains and variants of malaria parasite and the vaccine will require 2,3,4 of more updates to tackle it.
Africans will be pumped full of malaria m rna vaccines Eriokanmi: Hahaha. Just like we see in covid-19 today with the new strain. But seriously, we always have different strains of malaria already. Back in the days, once you took chloro, you're OK but later, malaria parasite inhibited chloro and formed a resistance and ACT was developed.
It will still be bad market for pharmaceutical industry and a lot of people will be sacked . If I'm vaccinated , I may not visit hospital or fall sick of malaria for at least 6 months .meanwhile our people fall sick of malaria like every 2 months. It will be a welcome development if the German firm succeeds. Aurelius1: You underrate malaria because it has not killed anybody you know. Malaria has killed more than 5 people I knew personally. The local man already has the solution but here you are ... a local ... condemning your own while singing praises to the alien. sulaak: Thank White man technology and not your Yeye god you guys can't seem to see the bigger picture.. which is the vaccine is not for Africans or black people only its also for eu:ropeans, as:ians, non-melanated people e.t.c.. who want to migrate to west Africa permanently... Right now one of the major issues a whyte person has with Africa especially West Africa is malaria kills them quicker than Africans.. In fact, the "conspiracy theory" part of me is also beginning to think this c:ovid vac:cine is also inter-related to this malaria vac:cine because like nairabacks has already said, the malaria va:ccine will create new dangerous variants of malaria in Africa which will likely kill a lot of Africans then the eu:ropeans like they always do will migrate to Africa using "charity" and "medical help" as one of the reasons to migrate to Africa ( West Africa ) and create their own communities just like they have their own community in Bonny Island Bayelsa using their oil companies as one of the reasons to remain there.. edit: once they ( non-Africans ) take the malaria va:ccine after the new variants wahala they will become immune to malaria and will be able to comfortably live in west Africa. |
