Please don't compare him with ejike Ejuke has only played 3 matches for SE while Moses Simon has played 53 matches.. so you should take your own advice of don't compare with Ejuke. For club, Moses Simon probably has a better agent than Ejuke because Moses Simon has played in more top leagues than Ejuke and has been playing in Europe longer than Ejuke.. Obviously Simon has more experience than Ejuke but changes have to be made in the wings of the S.E or you won't any changes in the team even if they bring in new midfielders and they will fail to qualify for the next world cup if the wingers aren't been substituted for others.. you should take your own advice of don't compare with Ejuke. |

Philosopher1979: Moses SIMon is a wide forward and not a right sided midfielder. He is better off in a 433 as a wide forward. He can't operate in a 442 The issue is that we have many explosive forwards who can explode in the past third of the pitch but we lack midfielders. The quality of forwards is a serious advantage we don't know how t Ouse. Get alhassan Yusuf, ovie ejaria, iwobi etc in our midfield and let them liberate our forwards and we are good to go. This thing is very simple I wonder why it is so hard for our coaches. Moses Simon plays as a wide forward and winger for the SE. He doesn't drop deep to help the midfield and defense.. Apart from midfield problem.. the SE also has a winger and wide forward problem. |

Philosopher1979: I think this attitude of not appreciating our need for midfielders has to change. Is it that the midfielders don't come from the agency of the coach. Look I think we are our greatest enemy. Our officials are too short sighted. If the world cup was held in 1996 we might have reached the final but within two years the team deteriorated. Also we held Brazil to a draw in 2019 but within three years the team deteriorated again. I suspect these nff officials constantly okay favouritism and politics. Again the way we don't like midfielders sounds demonic. Is it that someone does not like alhassan Yusuf, ovie ejaria etc. Maybe they don't belong to their agency. Our officials are too myopic. Winning the nation's cup and getting to the semi finals of the world cup will generate money for them to steal. There is a way you can steal money and still engineer development. Tammy Abraham, Eze, Olise, Chuba Akpom, Jordan Ibe e.t.c all rejected the SE... most of the time SE already has Nigerian born players who have made their big break in Europe, so it the SE will have to sensibly distribute game time to foreign borns who haven't made their big break in Europe... currently there is no foreign striker better than Osimhen, Moffi, Onuachu e.t.c. |

How much about the ingrained institutional corruption in the NFF do you know about and or have decided to pretend does not exist. ❓❓
Payment for selection and continuous selection has always been a part of the Nigerian football ⚽ structure for decades.❓❓❓ Nathan Tella declared his interest to play for Nigeria... nobody went to meet him, or snap pictures with him.. If the "good" foreign born players want to play for Nigeria all they have to do is say they want to play for Nigeria and the NFF should be quick to cap tie them.... the main problem is favoritism and favoring players they know which makes sure the SE formation does not change and why the SE consistently has a small number of midfielders invited... payment for selection is not a problem for foreign born players.. foreign born players are richer than their Nigerian counterparts and if there's anything like payment for selection then that means the entire SE should have at least 20 foreign born players.. the other problem is the Nigerian coaches might call up and favor players that are in their Agency or affiliated with their agency.. |

Mujtahida: All I know is that victory or a loss alters analysis. You are the best when you win and awful when you are defeated. Brazil were the best until they lost and all of a sudden I read how Vinicius, how Neymar don't track back. Now Morocco is the best. Okay ooo
Again everybody (except the winner of the final) who is rejoicing now will cry at the semi and the final. Morocco scored in the 1st half at 42mins.... and held that lead for the next 45mins plus red card and plus 8 mins injury time that is holding a lead for over 53mins.. Brazil scored at 105 mins and lost the lead at 117 mins... Brazil could not hold their lead because they lost their defensive discipline or even because they normally don't play defensively and that has been one of the reasons they haven't won another World Cup since 2002 and accepting the fact that from 1994 to 2002 they had a super squad... Morocco has shown that defending as a team is also important... Morocco has only conceded an own goal.. England vs Senegal.. Senegal defended for the first 30mins and had chances they should have scored but they couldn't maintain that defensive discipline and formation and England won the match... England vs France... England needed penalties to score.. they couldn't score from open play because majority of France players where defending and tracking the English players and that's how they conceded penalties.. Mbappe was in some cases behaving like Neymar and other times he was defending... After the match against Tunisia.. France adopted that approach of players dropping deep to defend when France is not in possession... In Summary... After the match against Tunisia, France plays similar to Morocco but with better attackers... If Brazil adopts such approach, they will be reaching back to back finals but that's not their style.. |

I am going to tell you the truth and nothing but the truth even though you may not like it.
Unfortunately, what you suggested is the very thing that have us in this situation that we find ourselves today.
China can afford to do what you suggested because they evolved as a homogenous society with one language. And they've been that way for thousands of years. So, definitely a one-party state would work for them because it's second to nature for them.
Why would they want anything but a one-party state? Certainly, a one-party state would be the next natural thing for them since the society already evolved being homogeneous.
But in the case of Africa, our societies evolved heterogeneously as small nations (now called ethnic groups) speaking different languages.
Our ancestors didn't create a homogeneous society like China, instead, again, our ancestors created heterogeneous small countries (now called ethnic groups) which worked for us before the unfortunate arrival of Europeans.
It means that heterogeneity is our natural inclination as Africans. We as Africans work best when we work in small groups that contribute power to a central point. WHICH IS INDEED WHAT CHINA DOES FROM DIFFERENT DISTRICTS EVEN AS A HOMOGENEOUS SOCIETY.
When people work in smaller units and contribute to a central point, they work more efficiently. The US is a good example. That's the best way things should work!
If we practice TRUE federalism in Nigeria, we would get the same result. We would become more productive and would even live in peace.
Things work best when there's what Adam Smith described as "division of labour."
For Nigeria to become great, the different components (geographical regions not ethnic groups per se) that make up Nigeria must first recognize themselves as distinct people doing their own thing their own way. We must first acknowledge the reality that we're not one, and then agree that we want to be one. And finally agree in a brand new constitution how we want to co-exist as a true federal state.
Every region should go ahead and make their own laws, worship their own Gods, speak their own language, run their electric generation, run their system of education, etc. Then contribute to the central as one. That's when the Nigerian society would be next to natural and it would work.
And that's the most natural thing that would work for us as Africans, in line with the philosophy of our ancestors on how a group should exist. When that happens, competition would lead to giant strides in every region and we'll be better off.
We are not Chinese people and should not labor ourselves trying to create a homogeneous Chinese society in Africa. It won't work because that's not the type of people we are naturally!!
We are African people and our natural inclination is to work in small ethnic groups. All we have to do is exploit it by pulling power to a central point.
This concept isn't just known to work the best in economics but it's also known to work in computing.
Dr. Philip Emeaghali, the inventor of the supercomputer stumbled on the idea when he realized that thousands of little chickens pulling a cart would generate more power and would work more efficiently than one elephant pulling the same cart. The chickens would do a better job because they'll work more efficiently with tiny energy expended than the mighty elephant using all his energy at once. And using this idea he was able to create a super computer using thousands of small processors.
Secondly, Elon Musk has used the same idea to build the most efficient and biggest battery in the world by coupling thousands of small "finger batteries" together.
When the different ethnic nationalities that make up Nigeria exercise their autonomy and work as federating units, we'll achieve enormous power. Until we understand this, exploit it, and implement it, we'll remain naturally heterogeneous societies forcing ourselves to be un-naturally homogeneous.
Emeaghali demonstrated the idea in the picture below. |

First of all your diction is fractious, rancourous , and is anchored ⚓ on ignorant negative bias. That is not denigration but matter of fact, you have blanketed millions of Nigerians born outside the UK as HATERS of Nigeria. Thats downright stupid.
Because the vast majority of Nigeria's born and or brought up outside Nigeria. Refuse to accept the status quo of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity you find that denigration
You are the Nigerian problem , you have low expectations and even lower standards of probity and because we reject that retrogressive approach we have DENIGRATED the nation.
No apologies you need redemption and emancipation. I did not blanket millions of Nigerians born outside Nigeria ( not outside UK ) as haters of Nigeria... I said "unlike you and other foreign born Nigerians that's always badmouthing and denigrating anything Nigeria"... this means a profile of Nigerians born outside Nigeria that bad mouth and denigrate the country and they are definitely not into millions of Nigerians. you have comprehension issues.. this is not a politics thread.. the vast majority of Nigeria's born and or brought up outside Nigeria don't know anything about Nigeria other than what they hear on their news stations which is mostly denigrating and bad news about Africa and that's also one of the reasons the foreign born players won't openly declare to play for Nigeria.. you are the problem and you are the one that needs redemption and emancipation.... there is no ethnicity called Nigerian... so in reality there are no Nigerians and that means there's no Nigeria.... the place called Nigeria.. is a place where different ethnic nations legally take resources of richer ethnic nations due to Ironsi abolishing regionalism... so the corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity you see in Nigeria today started in 1966/1967 because Ironsi's ethnic nation ( Igbo nation ) accused other ethnic nations of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity which did not exist and was not their place to do so because they had and still have their own region and revenue to develop themselves and their region's infrastructure but they decided to kill the leaders of other ethnic nations and destroy the regionalism system that would have made the entire southern Nigeria stupendously wealthy... People that accuse other people of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity only do so because they want the power and position of the person they are accusing... In Nigeria, people put ethnicity first... so I am Yoruba first and not Nigerian.. so I can't be a Nigerian problem because I don't see myself as a Nigerian and as long as I am not wishing d:eath and d:estruction on other ethnic nations then I am okay... I don't concern myself with what happens outside SW Nigeria and I don't accuse politicians outside the SW of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity because its not my place to do so and I don't expect people that are not Yoruba to accuse Yoruba politicians of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity... |

When a team is good and winning games you’ll think it’s being fueled by passion and commitment You're right. The players also have to respect their coach and national team to be able to successfully carry out his tactics. Imagine having players like Neymar who will be strolling and walking back to defense or will not even help the defense at all.. I haven't seen 1 Moroccan player walking back to the midfield and defense even when they're tired they either jog back quickly or run back to help the defense and that's down to the players attitude..
