OP made a lot of sense. Education is now about failure rate and not knowledge transfer or application. Development is now about senseless accumulation of physical structures. Marriage is now about financial security. Power is bow for oppression.

The rate we derail from logical purpose of things over here is alarming. The how no longer matters but the fruits(physically).

Look at the specialist hospitals part alone. Instead of specializing in something crucial they endup building general purpose hospitals with weak combination of equipments.

Oh shut up.

You are 10 times more stupid than any African leader.

You and the nasty person who posted this utter GARBAGE are repulsive.

We don't need your stereotyping and lies aimed at discrediting Africans based on your ZERO research.

Uneducated dolts sitting in your dirty bedroom criticising an entire continent of 1.2 billion people in 54 countries.

How did you magically know that ''capital projects in Africa'' don't work?

How many countries in Africa have you visited, including the dunce whose article was reposted here?

I bet it is less than 3.

Calling ''Africa'' as if it is your backyard or bedroom.

How many projects out of the many thousands of projects in Africa have you researched?

3?

Emergency online experts.

Don't go and do something useful with your lives.

Mr 'Africa'.

You don't even know what is happening in your own village or your state.

But you know what is happening in ''Africa''.

Rubbish.
It is because of folks like you I have that signature that says "Africa is proof ... "

Same here. However it goes down, Southerners should get informed so we can determine when and how we have been betrayed by our leaders so that we can punish them accordingly.

Clearly we now see that Governors have the power to enforce the ban they agreed on against open grazing.

It will be interesting to note, from this point on, the Governors who show they respect the wellbeing of their people more than any commitment to pleasing Buhari and his ruling cabal. In my head I can only think of Ortom and Akeredolu because of what both have done bravely so far.
why did you edit the part about governors running to appeal to Buhari? That was my target when I pressed the quote button.

let us be true to ourselves. Many states don't need the numbers of workers on its payroll. We can never develop as a country when 85% of some states revenue is used in paying salaries of less than2% of the population. It makes not sense. Many of the civil servants are redundant. In so department you would see 5people doing the work of 1 person. It also like that at the federal where due to tribal sentiments they have loaded it with there people. With technology we don't need bulky civil service. More funds should be made available for stimulating the economy through provision of grants, infrastructure , Agricultural support etc that would help the entire populace. There should be a law that stipulate 65 to 35% in terms in favour of capital to recurrent cost. And that all employment must be shared across all nooks and crannies of a state evenly.
Stop replying to your own subconscious imaginations. It makes you look deranged. I never supported paying of idle hands. I pointed out the fact that el rufai has been paying them willingly all along when crude income was higher. Why is he(El Rufai) just realizing all the off point stuff you are writing to me?
Politics › Re: El-Rufai Insists On Downsizing Workforce by CodeTemplar:
You paid them all these years when oil money was coming in and only realized they were redundant when oil money inflow dwindled. He is clueless about how to inspire the state economy growth.

AnanseK:
So he should pay unproductive workers? You are so illogical blinded by hate.
I think it is wrong to pay people for doing nothing. There are rules for compensating redundant workers and he should follow the rules but not keep paying them salaries when they are doing nothing.
Another deranged one I guess. Why did he pay them for years before realizing that they are redundant? Why?

Basher8583:
Would you keep redundant staff in your payroll if it were your personal business?

People like you on Nairaland are quite unintelligent
Derangee No 3.
If I have redundant workers under me, I wouldnt have pretended not to have seen them since 2015.

Programming › Re: Is It Wise To Build A Startup As A Developer In Nigeria? by CodeTemplar: 5:15pm On May 22, 2021
While I believe in start ups I never believed in crypto start ups. I have always viewed crypto as a financial conduit for the dark world.
My advise is to be mindful of the start up you build. Make sure it solves reasonable issues and not just something you think people will end up patronizing. I can decide to build a start up around peppers. Just peppers alone. Go to the big cities and see how many baskets of peppers they consume per week or do an estimate based on population alone. Build something that solves real problems and not just some crypto selling and buying platform because G-boys or fraudsters too are using it and there is money in it. Cryptos is what they use to buy most of the bad things that are trades in dark web like guns, porn, contrabands, etc.

I have special mods I hired specifically to do that but she is not effective and full of excuses.
You should consider some machine learning and possibly AI to handle nuisances. High activity level is one of the signatures to look out for. Once they sign up with a new account, their activities are always very high. Build nightly processes to detect who is signing up and averaging very high posts per day every midnight. Also check who are topping lists of reported posts.
Using analog approach to process digital data may be too slow.

Excess taxation isn't the way forward. It is like a business administrator trying to increase prices to shore falling revenue, it will give competitors an edge over that business. We need to properly structure this theft bases entity called Nigeria.
