Onlypeace: I've been watching the video of the lekki shooting over and over again but one thing I still don't have an idea of is who recorded the video and sent it out. Could it be the army themselves? Watching the range at which the video was recorded, I think no protester will be at that close range to record the video. Obviously the army made the video and did some tampering to make it look photoshopped so they can easily deny. What's your opinion on this? You are trying to con us into accepting the Photoshop narrative or what? |

Politics › Re: No Body Should Attack Igbos And Non Yoruba In South West by CodeTemplar: 8:42am On Oct 25, 2020 |
SuperBold: The evil carnage and chaotic situation that occurred through out the southwest and other Yoruba region is not the fault of anyone except the Yorubas, it was carried out by no-one except Yoruba, it is the Yoruba fault and they should take responsibility for it. This is the time to lick our wound and come back stronger, re-strategise and repair our cities.
Messages have been passed around among Yoruba whatApp groups saying non-indigenes and enemy of Yoruba leaders are the cause of havoc and burning in whole of south west coupled with the video of Yoruba extremist Adeyinka Grandson, which beg for this topic.
But there is a saying "There is no smoke without fire" in as much I don't want southern unity with non Yorubas, but there is no way such can happen because every Nigerians have the right to be anywhere they like, igbos can be in Lagos, Fulani can be anywhere in East, it is every Nigerian fundamental right.
Igbos always ask these questions, why don't Yoruba always attack Hausa? 1. Hausa have been in Yoruba land centuries before the igbos 2. What is worse than physical violence to Yoruba man is verbal violence and disregard for his culture and traditions 3. Hausa man dont attack unless you attack them, most Hausa/Yoruba fight is caused by a Yoruba man trying to cheat him. 4. Hausa don't call Yoruba land no man's land
With these factors, I will say Hausa are good neighbours of Yoruba and we share more in common with them than any non Yorubas.
This is wake up call to all Yorubas, what happened this month should serve as lesson to us, we have been played multiple times, from Alimi/Afonja, Awolowo/Akintola and now Tinubu, the same pattern happening in our eyes, this is not the time to blame anyone, it our FAULT and we should take the full RESPONSIBILITY. We should have learned from how the non - Yoruba pushed the Yorubas states almost to state of no return, we were lucky this time around, we must never let it happen again, we must protect our leaders at all cost, whether they are bad or not, we are not the messiah of Nigeria non the sophisticated big thinkers, we are Yorubas and the interest of our people should come first.
Why do you think they were unable to protest in Abuja? Is Abuja not where Buhari stays? Who commands the soldiers? Is it Yoruba leaders? So why the heck did they not move to Abuja? The only answer to this question is the knowledge of Yorubas as accommodator and champion of Nigeria cause, that's the answer right there.
The era of accommodation and championing of Nigeria cause is over and should be discouraged throughout Yoruba states, no tribe is more Nigerian than the other, let Yoruba put their tribesman first, their leaders first, this time YORUBA ARE AT THE CORRIDOR OF POWER AND STILL HAVE CHANCE TO RULE FOR THE NEXT 8 YEARS! we should think! I don't blame other tribes for demonising our leaders, everyone is trying to survive in Nigeria, but the fault is on the Yoruba demonising their leaders while other tribes protect their leaders like EGG.
This for everyone who care to listen, afefe ti fe, ati ri furo adire. We know who hate us and we know who want to harm our leaders because they cant fathom the idea how powerful they are and how successful they are. Yorubas! we should stop talking about other tribes leaders, it is not our concern unless he holds a public office at national level, the NON-YORUBAS should repay the favour by not talking of our leaders, even celebrities that are not Yorubas or by extension of South West should stay clear of South West politics. It is now clear that there was indeed a massacre and all fingers points to Sanwo-Olu's govt. The least we expect now is speedy release of the dead bodies handed over to the killer military men for further processing. Any further attempt to keep hold of the dead bodies will only serve to provoke and justify actions of those still on the street and causing trouble. |
Politics › Re: I Was At Lekki Shooting, I Didn’t See Any Dead Body by CodeTemplar: 5:45am On Oct 25, 2020 |
abc115: Nollywood filmmaker Onesoul, has come to debunk the report of dead protesters at the Lekki Toll gate incident after the Army invaded the protest ground.
Speaking with PremiumTimes, Onesoul confirmed that there was actual shooting at the venue, but he didn’t see any corpse, but only injured people.
When asked to describe what he saw on Tuesday night, Onesoul said:
“What I will say is, I have been hearing people say “Lekki massacre, Lekki massacre.”
I have to be honest with you if you Google the term “massacre,” massacre is a situation where a group of people were being killed by rebels or the military and going by that particular point, I would have been able to tell you that I saw a lot of dead bodies, this is how they killed them, there were a lot of dead bodies and so it was a massacre.
But from the time I came, I didn’t see any dead bodies but I can certainly tell you that there was a shooting, an unauthorised shooting. I will call it a raid, I will call it assault. I am going to term it assault and raid.
That is what I would use. It was an assault and I may be wrong but because I didn’t see those bodies, and I have not seen a family member that has come to cry and say one two or three persons have died.
If DJ Switch had seen that, she’s in the best position to say that because she was there. I cannot say she’s wrong. I was out of that circle. I was a few meters away. They were at the toll gate and I was a few meters away from them. I wasn’t there, I was at Lekki Phase 1.
I can’t tell you what the military’s approach on their arrival was. So, I wouldn’t be able to tell you that they shot one, two, three, four, or five people. But I can certainly tell you that I took a lot of gunshot victims to the hospital.
If I took about 13 people to the hospital myself, minus the ones that the governor confirmed that were injured, he said about thirty, that is forty-something, DJ Switch might not be wrong. I took 13 to the hospital.
So, if DJ Switch said she saw 15 dead people, by her own records, because she was there so she can speak on that part. I can’t speak on that.
