Sowore has zero experience
What a dilema
Zero is greater than minus #MathmaticalFact & #Logical.
This is negative experience and I prefer even Bobrisky or Denrele to APC and PDP but not above Sowore. Thanks.

Are you APC and OBJ is making you insecure ?
Politics › I Will Like To Vote Out The APC by CodeTemplar(op): 2:32am On May 11, 2018
Yes, I like to but who is the alternative ? Christians are ready to vote out the man that has overseen their persecution and that of minority groups in the hands of alleged bandits but who are the alternatives?

What's up with Sowore ?

What's up with OBJ's 3F ?

Since the anti-grazing law in Benue we have seen who owns Nigeria clearly. If we keep accomodating people with bloated sense of entiltlement when are we going to see a truly merit based system. Before APC came on borad there was corruption agreed! Now there is wastage of life and threat of extermination for the minority and Christians. I prefer to have a corrupt system where I can try my luck than be dead.

NB: This isnt an invitation for PDP to come back cos they are proven for corruption. There were killings under them but they didn't defend the killers openly. Why did we even allow a man who says "Attack on BH is attack on north"? This is sad.

igbodefender:
Speaking on the electricity supply situation in the country, Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola has announced that people are now free to set up independent power generation companies “without necessarily requesting for license.”

Fashola, who made the announcement while on an inspection of Federal works in Jigawa State, stressed that the Federal Government is encouraging the private sector to invest in generation and selling of power to the public.

He said, “Any interested individual or company can set up power generation from two megawatts downwards and sell it to public without requesting for any licence.

“We are encouraging people to set up small power generation and sell it according to their capacity, not necessarily going for big projects that require huge amount of money and expertise”.

I knew a thing like this will soon be made available. As long as it favors the north it will be made available. This has opened door for those northern brother witl solar system of less than 2MW and those igbo businesses operation in cluster.

It is far cheaper to power a diesel engine of 500kva or 2MW than have 1000 units of 2kva petrol gen
Education › Re: Why Many Nigerian Private Universities May Go Extinct In The Next Decade by CodeTemplar: 1:17am On May 11, 2018

You are very wrong bro!
Public universities in Nigeria are really waking up. Come to Uniben and see how new infrastructures are springing up on daily basis. It'll only continue to get better!

I would rather send my children to the US, Canada or UK for their university education than waste money in a Nigerian private university'

Sending your child to a University abroad(Undergraduate) should be exclusively reserved for children/wards of very very rich nigerians .
A middle class man sending his 18 year old to a forieng university where the parents have no access to him /her for sometimes 2-4 years is psychologically challenging for these kids .

These kids are still growing and they need ongoing support and care , there is really no significant advantage in academic terms over the good private universities in Nigeria .

The mid class Nigerian who sends his kid to a naija private university has definitely improved the child's chances in life and created a very good platform for the child to compete very well with even the richest kid of the land .

A middle class kids schooling abroad is quite vulnerable , they tend to struggle to pay school fees , cant get student loans, might have to work odd jobs /illegal jobs . Many times they behave like kids attending a bad government university in naija . Most times are never visited by their naija parents due to the expenses , infact some of the parents expect the kids to send some money home to help with other siblings!
The very rich guys in foreing unis , they dont need to work and their fees are paid upfront . They are visited by their parents -very significant psychological boost .

The Private unis in naija is a good competition for the poorly run federal/state unis . They are also a very good platform for serious minded mid class families to improve the future of their children .

The fact is that the graduates of these schools are now the preferred workers in many off the top firms in Nigeria and west african sub region .

Personally i thinks its is worth investing 700k yearly on a child's education for 3 years , who is most likely to get a good jobs straight away than pretending that spending 400k for a 4 year course in another university where children are psychologically damaged and educationally made substandard is worth it .

If we stop spending 100k every 3-4 months on unnecessary social functions and divert such funds to good education we will not be arguing about the obvious .

Lastly i think the very top end private universities will survive , definitely the ones jumping into the bandwagon are mostly going to dissapear with time .
Private unis are a good addition to our existing tertiary education system to compete and raise the bar higher and eventually the state institutions will catch up . The long term view is that education will eventually have to be paid for by loans and grant like the other countries .
The regulation from NUC is what is holding back some schools like covenant, afe babalola and landmark uni etc. at N800k i dont think there are many schools you can send your wards to abroad at that price.

sm federal uni like university of calabar Na only 10 for get ist class... Dis is gud wen students deserve grades De shd have it
When private uni started it, they tagged them academically cheap schools, today some federal unis are picking up and and doing the right thing so there is not much we can spin it into.
Nigerians like holding people back at the slightest possible opportunity. Covenant uni has been slowly revolutionizing the uni system for some years now.
Federal unis are adapting their dress codes and now awarding first class to those deserving of it more and more.

Separation of Religion and Politics. Something most Nigerians like the OP or whoever wrote this is yet to grasp.

We need to decide as a people on what we want. If he's too pro-christian, the muslims will say he's biased. If he's being the politician we actually voted him to be, we change the goal post and then say he's not Christian enough because he's a pastor.

I believe killings should be criminalised whether they are Christians or Muslims involved.
When Trump spoke in support of Christians we saw muslims speak but no muslim condemned Leah captors for holding back a innocent Christian. Please stop the one-sided logic.

See, let us argue with facts and our common sense, otherwise we will both be wasting our time.
Yes, local production all over the country including Benue, Plateau, Ebonyi or Oyo state.

The refinery is a National asset and selling or concessioning it, is not something the President can do overnight.
We all agree that Govt involvement in running a state business should be minimised. But you are aware of private investment encouraged by the same FG. Next year, Dangote refinery will come on board. Some modular refineries are under construction with some scheduled for completion by the end of 2018. Whether you agree or not, it does not change the facts. These are projects that are happening for the first time in the history of this country.
Dangote refinery alone will cater for all our local petroleum products need with more to export..
Modular refineries are some of the few things Buhari inherited and couldn't put a stop to. Govt around the world have stake in approximately 70 of oil businesses. So stop defending a failing govt blindly. Rice smuggling was highest 2018 according to Benin Republic, Niger and Camerounian figures. So what agric output are we talking of? What of yam output? I like to hear about that.

I would use Jonathan as a barometer of one's honesty.

Whilst he was in power talks of restructuring were muted until elections were close and once he lost it became amplified.

The north is not Nigeria's problem but the dishonesty and bigotry of many Nigerians.

If I am to test the reversal of your logic upon you now you will realize that your are shooting your leg.
During GEJ's time Tinubu, Utomi, Sagay etc were always writing article about economy, why have they gone silent?
FYI, restructuring gained momentum under Jonathan especially during and after the national conference.

It can only do this if it is sliding and rapidly too.
And some of you have no idea what currency exchange means.

So if Buhari by executive fiat decides we do away with the zeros in our currency and the dollar becomes 36 Naira instead of 360 Naira does that make the currency strong?
Yes it makes it strong, Mr. I-know-what-currency-exchange-means.

Buhari is encouraging local production. The less we import, the less the demand for dollars..
We can never develop if we keep importing what we can produce, while unemployment is rife locally..
Local production of yam in Benue or Plateau?
Or
is it the dormants refineries that have defied the presense of Buhari himself.
