Politics › Re: How Has Ethnic Diversity Benefitted Nigeria? by CodeTemplar: 3:19pm On May 01, 2018 |
gidgiddy: Our diversity only led to ethno-religious killings that started with the 1945 Jos massacre, the 1953 Kano massacre and the 1966 massacre that saw over 50,000 Easterners were killed for ethnic and religious bias.
This led to a civil war that cost millions of lives.
So anyone who says "our strength is in our diversity" is just an ignoramus.
Strength in diversity only means something when people are united, not when they are only kept united by the barrel of the gun. [ Nigeria is a disaster and the Igbo nation will do far better when we find our selves out of Nigeria away from Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani You were making sense until the last paragraph. |

Just imagine if a church builds an auto industry, you would start hearing things like this from some stupid Nigerians "how can church build an auto industry with money of the poor yet the poor cannot afford to buy the car" So true. Nothing can satisfy a hateful soul. |

Good project. I have no problem with things a group of individuals do collectively with their wealth as long as it doesn't affect others negatively. To me, the church is like an importation group of Nairaland or market women who form society then contribute to buy matching attires. We have a govt that hijacks our commonwealth to empower those killing Christians yet we keep quiet about it and focus on a group that doesn't affect us. |

maclatunji: Oh really?
Going by your logic, it is okay to kill Christians as long as the people doing it claim to be Jihardists?
Sometimes, I wonder whether some people enjoy the killing of their fellow people to satisfy their craving to portray Islam in bad light.
Well, unlike you, people with a rational mind know that your kind of thinking is jot useful. Trump's collective comments today;
The greatest enemies of Christians in Nigeria are Christians.
#Yeye
By the way, no matter how hard you try to smear Islam or miseducate people about it, it will still thrive. If colonialism could not stop it, dubious people hiding under Christianity definitely don't have a chance. Your are a Muslim fanatic who can't reason well again. How does protection of a people under genocide breaks the country. When rwanda was one are you saying there was no reprisal at all? Will that now justify the genocide. |

He is just a vice president with no authority to act except power is transferred to him by the president. Come to think of it, what has these big men of God done to stop these killings., nothing rather than buying private jet and building Universities to make more money. Nigeria has come to a state whereby prominent personalities should stop casting blame on the government and start acting... the Bible says only the violent takes it by force.. if the government is not doing anything about these killings then the church should take the bull by the horn. Enough is enough. So what are the men of God suppose to do? You end up bashing them unjustly while leaving the pertinent question to hand in the air. Private jet and uni is a tiny fraction of their overall activity so stop the blind hatred. |
