Hmm... painful, the government or Federal government, President and Presidency don't know how to respond |
That's a complimentary statement And does nothing to explain our current crisis |
Support it with electric pot or hot plate. It helps whenever there is light tho. |
Faith is always a personal thing. I was born a Christian. Both my parents were born as a Muslim but choose to become Christian. They find the religion interesting at though that's what I thought. Some years later my dad become a Christian, according to him he said God called him, I was about 12 Years old then. I never understood that then. All I knew is he stop doing some perceived worldly things, like drinking beers, threw away one small pot with cowries with Ogogoro which he normally use whenever going to work he'd make small prayers or incantations put the Ogogoro inside and spit to the ground, it was a form of early morning ritual he does everyday in his room before stepping out for work. The said call from God changed everything for him, his children me included and all his three wivies. Structure were made in front of his house.we all automatically become pastors children, at the time I personally don't know how to react to all this big big changes, it was much for me and all the children. I really don't know serving God could be as hard. The experience was terrible. Night Vigil oh God I hate night Vigils, morning devotion, Bible studies and Sunday service...such a nightmares. Seriously it was hard though there were a silver lining, I learnt a lot too overtime. Reading the Bible was the only thing I enjoyed doing even up till date. The Bible I believe is the manual to Life. To live a better and healthy lifestyle you need the Bible to guild you whatever your religion is. It a must, well not if you think I'm been religious, I'm nothing close to religious, in fact I usually don't agree with religious people So called Christians, Muslims Budish Jewish...so on. This is the background of my story. Something changed, I was later a member of Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministry, for about Six years. One day a minister called me outside the church to discuss something, he offered me a Job opportunity which I accepted gladly, I'm not about to let that opportunity slip away, quit my Current job which was terrible by the way, resume to my current New Job, Now, this are the terms of the work...In his own words, I'll be pay fifteen thousand Naira monthly, two hundred naira for feeding and hundred naira for transportation. The month ended I was paid five thousand naira the first week of the other month, I even thought it was a dash because I told my boss that mummy whom he knew was sick and I needed to help her buy drugs, the second week I asked for my boss again for my salary he gave me another five thousand naira, I was surprised I ask Sir? You promised me fifteen thousand naira not five five thousand naira, he stated some kind of excuses and somehow promise to pay up the next month, I believe him countinue the work, the same thing happened again, then it became clear to me that he had decided to pay just Ten thousand naira only not the earlier agreed and promised fifteen thousand. I was furious, but I couldn't quit at the time, I ponder on what to do, while I countinue to work after three months I decided to inform the Pastor about the situation, perhaps he could be able to talk some sense into him about keep promise and living up to his words as a minister of God in a reputable Church, well I was shocked when he refused to listen to the pastor, Story cut short he never paid those money, I quit started my own business online based on trust, the Lord God help me. I decided to stop going to church and any churches ever since. My life changed, my personal relationship with God took and upward turn, I got conviction, trust in God through Jesus Christ not in church or Pastor, my dad who was a pastor learnt the hard way when I visited him in his home in Badagry just after the lockdown. He had no member he expects me to always attend all services, I was not ready to get drag into all of that again. One faithfully day on Sunday I told him I'm not going to his church, at first he taught I was joking and threaten me, threw my bags and luggage outside after he closed the service because I never did attend the service. Now I realized people don't care about God they only care about themselves, Thier Egos and those selfish interest. So let analysis what Jesus Christ said about those who worship God, those true worshippers of God. Jesus Christ said and I quote the truth worshippers will worship God in Truth and in Spirit. Are you a Christian? Try ask yourself some critical questions to explain what relationship you have with God. It's very important, been born as a Christian and attending church services doesn't qualify you to be a Christ Follower. Remember how Jesus Christ was very critical about the Pharisees, Seducees those who called themselves God worshippers, and also how they seek to kill Jesus Christ because he told them to their faces how wrong their ways is. The way of man is not the way of God. The world can't pleased God and the physical Structures can't justify anyone to be a true worshipper of God. Jesus Christ said I'm the way the truth and life no one comes to the father except through him, he never said no one comet to the father except through physical Structures (Churches). Please try to understand all this. Stand tall in your faith in God not in pastors or churches. Let Jesus Christ lives in you then you will know the father. |
Thank you brother, we will get there eventually or die trying... One way or the other let's live the best of lifestyle even with little financial budget it could be difficult though. The best will come |
Social work Study Hello everyone, My name are Samuel Yemi Michael, I am Thirty one year old born 1989 25th July. Born and raised in Lagos state Nigeria from Epe local government. School at Lincoln Nursery and primary school at Sabo Oniba Lagos Nigeria, finish my Secondary school at Oko-Afo Junior and Secondary school along Badagry Express way. In 2008 I did GCE otherwise known as SSCE, before I finally did my Waec in 2009. I was born into a polygamous family, my father married five wivies. At tender age of thirteen most of my brothers and sisters were left to take care of ourselves, we were twelve, everyone scattered around the Lagos state seeking for ways to survive, feeding and get basic things necessary to cope with Life. It was tough I personally had to do menial Jobs to pay for my school Fees, Exam fees and so on. Work at sites, bakery, food restaurants etc. After my O level I ventured into factory work at Amuwo Odofin at Mile 2 in a Company called Century Obikings, then I live at Sabo Oniba some miles away from the Company which I worked, it might not be miles but the traffic can make it seems that way, anyone who lives in Lagos will understand what I am taking about here, I usually wake up around 4:30am in order to beat the traffic, I earn about eighteen thousand naira weekly that was in 2010 the pay is good considering the level of my Education though transportation costs had some impact on this wages and I had to assist my siblings as they too depends on my income as a result there was little or no savings from my earnings couple with the fact that the work is contractual in nature, sometimes we might not go to work for months, all that I might have saved during those times working will be exhausted when work resumes I will be forced to borrow money for transportation. That was the major reasons why I decided to leave the work for a better stable Job yet again Educational matter kick in, as I do not have the required Certificate to get employed in better paying Job even if there were few opportunities, it was a major factor then, little could I do with my O level Certificate. In 2011 apply for a Security Job at Asco Security Company around Festac town Apple Junction, I undergo training for two weeks before I was deployed to at Company called Lino at Abule Osun just before under bridge close to Army barrack at Ojo Local government area. I was paid twenty thousand Seven hundred Naira monthly. Partially manage through with my skill to repair phone and detect fault, those I could not repaired by myself was taken to Alaba international market for more professional hand while I charge and get my commission. This was what I assisted my Salary with and I was able to raise my savings. Also organised Credit and Drift Cooperation within the Company with my Colleagues and the workers at the Company, it was a genius idea then because I was able to save also help my siblings at home, life became easy compare to the hardship which seems like there is not a way out, after a year things began to fall apart, Colleagues left, some were transferred we were unable to continue our contribution not long I too was transferred to another company which was paying much less than I was earning in my previous company from twenty thousand Seven hundred Naira to Sixteen thousand naira only. I could not cope with the situation at the time after about four months or so, I resigned though before that I was hoping to get redeployment but since my efforts become furtile , there was no order choice order than to leave to seek better opportunities elsewhere. I was searching for Job for a full year throughout the year 2013 before I eventually got Job as a Store keeper in a Coca cola depot not far from my home, I was paid ten thousand naira with the promise of increased salary with time, after a while the madam make good of her promise the money was increased to fifteen thousand Naira, this was a motivating factor for me, had to improve my working ability, soon I was promoted to a manager even as the work doubled the salary was increased to twenty thousand naira with this comes greater work, responsibilities and debts, at the time I do not care much about all that, I needed the money, I was not a lazy type, work my ass off everyday including Sundays sometimes, the depot operations depends on my ability to effectively and efficiently carry out my duties, I also happens to occupy a lot of positions, from storekeeper to motor boy, customer representative so on due to shortage of workers, sometimes I almost did all the works, the effect of this is that it becomes a burden as I was not able to carry out proper accounting records and focus in one work at a time, as time goes by I ran into a lot of debts, those debts was paid with my salary every month soon afterwards I decided to quit pressure here and there, my debt profile pushed me out of the Job ultimately, sometimes, when I complained about the working conditions to the madam she promised to hire more workers and increased my salary but as she did not a single worker lasted two months in the Job including my own brother whom through my help got the sales boy job in the depot, his job was to use truck otherwise known as wheelbarrow to supply goods which Coca cola bottles in creates to customers in the marketplaces and at Alaba international market, it was a work that requires heavy man power the poor boy can not handle the pressure of supplies as he was the only one left, soon afterwards he too quit and I can not blame him at his age he should be in school not pushing wheelbarrow here and there, No one can cope with the working conditions and labour efforts required for those kinds of Jobs are those of technology and motor vehicle delivery services at worse. In the space of time I decided to learn trade at Alaba international market where I was taught how to buy Electronics like LCD and LED TV and sell at relatively above cost price, we ( me and my boss) buy import fairly used TV's and Sell. Low capital leads to low investment and I improvised took my market to another level of marketing and advertisment making use of social medias like WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter to market what I sell to potential customers, this proves to be effective to a considerable extent. Over time I raised finance for countinuity of my Education. I was a good reader even with all I had gone through I still find time to read all kinds of books available, buy some and was given some too, it enabled me stay active educational wise, I hold out hope that one day I can continue my educational studies comes what may. When I come across a program called Interim Joint Matriculation Board Exam (IJMBE) it offers Candidates opportunities to get admission into any University without Writing Jamb and Direct Entry into 200 Level, I was motivated by this decided to apply for the program with all the money I had saved over years amounting to three hundred thousand Naira, the program itself cost a total of two hundred thousand Naira, Yeah it was a risky choice considering my financial capacity but I was determined to succeed after all I was born with nothing and I aspire to become a tool in the society whom can be a voice for the voiceless, a force who can help less previlege Children and youth get basic Education, influence government decision to make better policies, welfare services for communities, building social amenities, health care and infrastructure, also agitate for better enumeration and good working condition for the Labour in the Country, advocate for human capital investment, better resources management in the society etc. I felt one of the way to achieve my dream is to become educated , A license Social worker. With this I intend to study social work in University. A purpose for Writing my story and creating a fundraiser project is to become a professional license Social worker. I hope to be useful in the society and help those who might be in need with my experience in life. Life had taught me a great lesson, I understand that we only have ourselves, my motto is live and let's live. I strongly believe the world can be a better society for all, one which no one will be left behind or lacking in one aspect or the other, this was achieved in most of the Western Countries and it can also be achieved here in Africa, only if we ignore our difference and focus on what unite us all, looking beyond boundaries and borders, creating policies with the better interest of the people in mind, together we are unstoppable, together we are a force to reckon with, together we are unbeatable, we are Africa, we are everywhere. In the spirit of Africa I hope to find those who will believe in me and my dreams to help me raised a sum of Five hundred thousand Naira to countinue my Educational studies. Thank you! Peace unto all. Share link: https://www.sapiofunds.com/project?name=Social work Study

Nick Sears was 17 years old when he helped build a bitcoin mining farm in Dallesport, Washington. Sears oversees a hydro-powered data center with 4,500 ASICs, all mining for bitcoin. Nick Sears was 17 when he helped build a bitcoin mining farm in Dallesport, Washington. He was 18 when rules allowed him to buy bitcoin for the first time. And now, at 19, Sears has doubled down on his life as a bitcoin miner, saying "no" to college and "yes" to living in a room inside a data center that houses 4,500 whirling ASICs. "My room is sound-locked," said Sears of the acoustic retrofitting of his living quarters. "So I can't hear the machines when I close my door, but they are definitely noisy if I have my door open." The machines generate about 80 decibels of noise apiece — but Sears says he likes being as close to the action as possible. It also beats making the half hour commute each way from his parents' house in White Salmon. The 19 year-old has spent pretty much every single day for the last two years teaching himself the nuances of how mining machines work – and crucially, how to fix them. He believes his education in soldering and electronics is worth a whole lot more to him than a university degree. "I don't think about going to college at all, just pursuing further knowledge in the repairs of the miners," continued Sears. CNBC spoke with multiple miners for this story. Many explained that the allure of mining comes from being able to tangibly grasp the power of bitcoin. "If you've been to any of these data centers, the first thing you'll notice is just how vast and how impressive they are. They're huge," said explained Thomas Heller, chief business officer for Compass Mining, which works with Sears' employer, SCATE Ventures. There's so much noise, and there's so much heat. There's just so much action going on. It is quite cool to walk into a data center for the first time that's mining bitcoin, because you can really connect the intangible aspects of bitcoin as a currency, with the physical nature of these machines consuming power and doing these calculations." A day in the life of a miner Mining for bitcoin isn't a glamorous job. "When we first got here, we were setting up racks, creating the network infrastructure for the internet, and we essentially had to wire everything," he said. Once the physical infrastructure was up and running, Sears got into more of a rhythm. He's now up at 7 A.M. everyday and works from eight to four. He remains on site afterwards, just in case of an emergency, and there is a technician who works night shifts so that Sears can get some sleep. But beyond the hours, there is no typical work day for Sears. "That's the cool thing about this job – I don't have a set routine that I do everyday," he said. "Every morning, I find what needs to be fixed." Some days, that means Sears repairs walls and other physical infrastructure. "If we have to repair a camera, maybe I'm fixing a cable." But the biggest part of the job is monitoring and managing every one of those 4,500 Bitmain and Whatsminer ASICs to ensure they are running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If even one of those machines goes offline, or is only running at partial capacity, the SCATE Ventures mine loses money. That's because when someone is mining for bitcoin, what they are actually doing is lending their computing power to the bitcoin network. The more machines you have online, the better your chances at winning bitcoin. Roughly every ten minutes, 6.25 bitcoins are created. In order to mint these new tokens, a global pool of miners are all contributing their computing power to running a hashing algorithm. But these miners aren't working in a vacuum. They're competing against each other to see who can unlock each batch of new bitcoin first. So the stakes are high for Sears. Being diligent and knowing how to triage issues across the entire facility is critical to success. Some mining sites use more sophisticated software to monitor the machines, which includes checking the temperature of each hashboard within the individual miners. But most important for Sears is just figuring out which of his machines aren't functioning at full capacity. Click here to view interactive content "Every day, you find the machines that have stopped hashing, then you remove them from the rack, and you troubleshoot," he explained. "You've got to find the problem with the machines. You've got to find out why it went offline." It could be a power outage, which would affect all the machines, or it could be a network outage which could impact all of the machines or just some. "Sometimes they just need a power cycle or a reboot," he said. But the hardware fix isn't always as simple as that. "It could be that the fan on the individual machine that is used for cooling is broken, or maybe it's the power supply that needs to be repaired or replaced," explained Heller. "It could be the hashboards themselves," continued Heller. "Each hashboard has lots of individual chips, and those are the chips doing the calculations. I think with a Bitmain machine, if more than four chips on a single hashboard are broken, the whole hashboard will switch off. So instead of hashing at about 100%, you're only hashing at two-thirds or one-third." Seasonal changes in the weather add a whole other layer of complexity.
