No, I am not. I just get told I look like I am from West Africa, even though my family has been African  American for many  many generations. perhaps there was not a lot of mixing going on. My sister is a bit lighter than me, and has an African American look, I guess. She never gets asked if she is from Africa.

I am Gabrielle Union's complexion, we have similar features. I can't really think of any other black celebs because there aren't that many brown girls in the media, they are all mixed or very light

They think you are ugly . . . fullstop. the "african look" is just a politically correct way of saying it. Many blacks see white as the model of beauty, the closer you are to white the better for you. the farther away from white the less favourably you are viewed. Thankfully i'm a dude . . . i dont care. We get women all the same.  

Maybe you shld go look for african men.
