Christianity Etc › Re: Nigerians, What Is God Doing About Our Current Problems by cold(m): 8:07pm On Apr 05, 2016 |
Sholyps put it succinctly...PRAYERS DON'T WORK! Simple as! We all agree that doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is insanity. But theists always want to make an exception for prayers. Things aren't working, they insist you pray even harder. Still not working, they insist you fast for longer. Nigerians will continue to pray for petrol queues to disappear. They'll continue to pray for 24/7 power supply, they'll continue to pray for the economy to improve, they'll pray for everything that is solved by common sense in saner climes. This is not because they believe their prayers will be answered but it simply takes the responsibility off their shoulders and places it in the arms of a supposed supreme deity whom if he truly exists is as useless as a used condom in the grand scheme of things. Nigerians have their heads so far up their arses, they can't see the wood for the trees. It's a sorry state of affairs...deep sigh |

arresa: lol @ Oponu twiter bird senator talking about at petrol station instead of in school.
The useless and worthless twitter rat spend more time on twitter fighting Nigerians than on the senate floor where he was sent to find solutions to our problems...
Public officials especially lawmakers should be on the senate floor looking for solutions and not on the twitter fighting faceless people like useless and jobless market women with nothing better to do..
Sadly, this twitter clown spent 8 years at the NTA with zero achievement and he was part of the corrupt and incompetent GEJ and his looting, stealing and money sharing gang who left us vulnerable after 16 years in office with no single refinery built, they didn't even bother to fix the 4 refineries that they let rot and decay..
He can talk about other people's poor education of course, at least he paid good dollars to provide the best education money can buy for his own children in America..
What a shameless clown.. The senator was only re-echoing the words of your demi god. Who, in any event, has spent more time junketing the globe than solving the plethora of problems in the petroleum ministry he is in charge of. But you're only too quick to show us how he sits close to Obama. Lol. The problem of the black race runs deep i swear down!

Anything to promote secularity is a welcome idea. Religion has its place in a society no doubt. People will always have a need to supplicate to a supposed higher deity but i'd rather they do it within the confines of their churches, mosques and shrines and not bother the rest of us who have no need for imaginary friends and just want to get on with our daily lives. Anyway,i have not seen the contents of the bill so it will be prejudicial to condemn or commend it. Until i do... |

Sigh..this was the same reason he gave to explain away the delay in appointing ministers. 'I have to take my time to thoroughly scrutinise the credentials of anyone i choose to appoint'. Weeks turned into months,in the end what did we still get? A load of garbage. Not one minister can be singled out as performing even averagely let alone outstanding. The economy has grinded to a halt. Critical infrastructure has collapsed. Everything is in a state of flux. It's a sorry state of affairs... Deep sigh |

My comment - I am not surprised. This is EXACTLY what TB Joshua said in his 2016 prophecy: "The president will do everything to reject revaluation of the naira - which is a good idea from a good leader. But there will be overwhelming pressure which he will not be able to resist. Nigerians, support and pray for your leader. The future is crying for help." You had to go ruin everything by quoting some idiotic prophecy made by a con man |

claremont: If I were you, I would rather quit being a Doctor than do the bolded. If you choose to place money before a life, you are in violation of the oath you swore to protect life. What I particularly find disgusting is that you try to justify your actions on the premise that a few patients in the past refused to pay you, you are now making your future patients vicariously liable for the handiwork of your previous patients. It makes no sense mate, just choose a different career path. Don't try to take the moral high ground here. Would you subsidise the cost of every treatment going forward? His decision is surely at odds with his humane side but there comes a time when one just has to put his foot down and let the chips fall where they may. |

'God will reward you' is the recurrent theme with Nigerians. You'll hear stuff like 'the god wey give you this one go give you another one'. Between man and god, honestly speaking, before god and man..blah..blah..blah. But as soon as they get what they want their true colors reveal themselves. Nigerians can be very dishonest. Very frustrating i swear down! |
