Sigh..it's still the typical talakawa vs Dan-Arewa mentality playing out in the north. The serfs vs the fiefs. Where the economic and political ideas of a few ruling Northern political elites,apotheosized aristocrats and their cheapened reactionary counterparts in the army hold sway. Their proclivity to oppress the talakas, tenacity to hold on to power, defend their interest and impose a patterned way of thinking on their surbodinates. When you throw in the predominant Islamic faith practiced by majority in the north,the strangle hold becomes complete.

Yeah your fear won't let you speak out even when you know something doesn't feel right with the whole arrangement. You just might be struck down by lightening for daring to voice your concerns about 'god's annointed'. It's the same fear that has made religion thrive for so many years. People see everything that is wrong with religion..Christianity in this instance but are unable to express their worries. They just might be cut down in their prime for having the audacity to ask questions. Or at worse,end up in a fiery flame in the afterlife. So they just continue in their delusions.

I'm more worried about the stress Nigerians are going through just to have the sim cards registered. All the other talk about competing with god is just a load of bs. After all, they were only going to part with their money to some con men in Italian suits. They just saved their money for another week.

Now at least you see the contradiction in your ealier comment. Fear of hell cannot lead to denial of a god. It only concretises belief in same.

More like the fear of hell is why you serve god.

Of course he's right. Prayer serves no useful purpose. But giving? Yeah giving is everything because god needs your money to generate interest. It's the interest that is now converted to blessings. If you don't top up your phone,you can't make calls. Same way if you don't give,you can't make calls to heaven. So give..give..give. God needs money to complete his projects. Would you rather live in an uncompleted mansion in heaven? Think about it.

Heaven is easy to make. All you have to do is; in the morning,pray to god for the sins you're about to commit through out the day. And at the end of the day,pray for forgiveness for the sins you committed during the day and you're good to go. How easy is that?

Please i and my parents needs your contributions..My 28 years old sister who is a fresh graduate from the University summoned my parents and I that she got a fiance who was ready for marriage already...We were at least excited and joyously ask her to invite her fiance for proper introduction..Lastweek sunday was the said date,so we joyously went ahead in preparation on his arrival,preparing delicious meals to appease his arrival...He finally arrived and my dad asked him his occupation, what i heard was so disappointing...a SHOE MAKER for a Medicine graduate...i had to pretend as if notting seems wrong until the said guy departed..We summoned my Sister again and she said '' I love him and must marry him no matter what'' ...
Was she charmed or what??
This issue is really drilling the heart of my parents and i.
