For all i care, this could be mere propaganda to tarnish the image of the minister.

Sincere4u recently left me with these words : One day, the situation of things will change between whites and blacks and by nature and circumstances the black man will be better appreciated than he is today. Nothing in the world is constant. There could be something about the black man's pigmented skin the world is yet to discover.
I have been pondering over these and they are beginning to look like words written on marbles.
What do you think?
U might be correct. Check out my signature, I think we are on the same pedestal

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Your Favourite Book Of The Bible And Why Is It? by Collyno82(m): 5:03am On Feb 12, 2017
All the books of the bible does the same thing at different times. It depicts the essence n the existence of Yaweh. All the verses are my favourites.

Hear this For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3vs16

Just take a look at this 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Eke40seven:
As someone who lives abroad, i don't think she is trolling in any way. It is just a matter of perspective.
What matters to you might not be the motivation for someone else. By the way, there are Canadian, American and European expats in Nigeria too.
In my opinion, its easier to enrich yourself more in Nigeria with that kind of earning than someone abroad. These are hard facts. Business opportunities, no bureaucratic or regulatory restrictions (You might argue that its not good may be, but you can be holier than me, i am trained in the field of 'sustainability').

For the OP, if having access to good facilities and amenities like roads, security, etc is his motivation, then he should probably move abroad but i bet you, if he wants to be a millionaire overnight and that is his motivation, then i think with his RESOURCES, he should take advantage of the situation in Nigeria. I'm sure if he puts in the same amount of intelligent and guided efforts, he would surely get rich faster. His 4 months salary can open a viable poultry business, employing people.
Note also, that less tax doesnt necessarily mean a bad thing, most countries in the top ten highest per capita income, (may be apart from the Scandinavians) actually have low taxes, Liechtenstein, UAE etc. Have you heard of Monaco too?
If the OP earned may be 60-100k or thereabout, i would have encouraged him to hop into the next flight, one way no return.
My friend stop muddling up issues. 400k salary ur talking abt is less than 800$. U talk about becoming rich in naija over night, except tru corrupt tendencies. For ur information Forbes listed our country among the ten most difficult places to do business in the word. You talk of bureaucratic bottle necks, do u no wat it will take u to register ordinary pure water business, not to talk about wat u will pass tru to get nafdac number, but in Canada once ur working u buy a house n car tru mortgage n so on. Yes y can't u pay higher taxation wen cocking gas are pipe inside ur house, water n light 24/7. Health care facility is superb, insurance is working. Yes Monaco ur talking abt is not a country is a city in France. Pls n pls stop comparing heaven with hell fire I beg u.

Is it wrong to be patriotic? This country is blessed with so many resources, good soil, solid minerals, good weather, abundant man power, etc. If the government fails us does that mean we should give up on a country with so much potential?

The OP asked for our opinions and I said with the salary he earns he can invest in real estate, acquire property, renovate and sell. He can start building from scratch and sell his properties later or even make steady income by becoming a landlord. If you live in Nigeria you will know that real estate business is something that you cannot lose your money if you plan well. If he decides to stay overseas and do this business people here will take advantage of him.

Must i tell him to relocate before my advice will be taken as intelligent? Haba, we can't all have the same view.
My dear traveling to Canada doesn't mean that he has given up on Nigerian. If he travel he will bring back the money n invest like in real estate as u have rightly mentioned. My dearest pidgin2 business has gone beyond given ur relatives money to buy land n build house for u. Globalisation has made everything easier business inclusive. That's my take. Good morning.

Why do we like to exaggerate. The girl joined the race from her house in lekki. We do not know if it's lekki phase 1 or even oniru estate and the nonsense headline says she completed the race. And as usual some are already shouting she is going places.

Make una dey use una brain. That's why your politicians are stealing you dry and deceiving you up and down. No critical thinking, no nothing.
Stop muddling up issues. There are 2 main points in marathon. They are starting and finishing. The headline says she completed in other words she finished. Is a narrative. Some people started but dey didn't complete the race. So the girl finished the race weda she joined from lekki phase 20 or obalende she has made headline mbok

Here are the names of a few presidents that did well: Obasanjo, Yaradua and Goodluck Ebere Jonathan.
This is just a simple discourse. Stop mixing up issues. It is not an emotional question like Nigeria n Canada which do u love most. Someone is seeking for an advice, why not advise him n stop this ur holier than thou patriotism

Hey, stop listening to stories on the Internet try to get actual experience.
I have discovered that most people writing bad things about Nigeria are the frustrated folks who would rather cross to Europe through Lybia than to be productive to themselves.

You say we don't have running water here? Well, that's a big lie, we do. And if anyone does not then they can supply their own water by digging a bore hole for themselves or their communities (no one pays tax for this and you get constant water for life once this is done). They can form groups to achieve this if funds are limited.

Public schools are totally free here too and most of our leaders today attended these schools, people can also make choices based on their budgets on the kind of schools they want their kids to attend, they can also home school if they chose. As for light, we were paying only N87/ltr for fuel to run our gen in 2015, I believe we can get back to that again with good leadership. Some places do have good light supply. Alternative energy like solar and wind is being used privately.

Alternative medicine here is an option which people use (just like in China and India) our grand parents lived very long too. As for Western medicine, some states do give free basic health care to pregnant women and children under 5. Most government and state hospitals are heavily subsidized

Nigeria is not hell, contrary to what you might think so someone earning N400K a month can expand his wealth greatly in an almost tax free country. Everything depends on him and his God
Stop defending the undefendable.

Hahahahahaha!!!,
Being out of school for a long time now.
My usual score in French used to range from 94-96% and that's because i do a lot of cramming.
Can still remember what gave me the 100% person that term.
As part of the exam questions we were asked to write out all the eleven players of a football team in French. During my preparation, i figured out that the list followed a particular pattern. I used that pattern to cram everything. Not that i could speak French but i crammed a lot.
That particular exam was very important to the French teacher because almost all the students failed it with my No.1 rival managing a 60% score. For someone to hit a 100% where all others failed was no mean feat and it brought me fame when the teacher took my script and moved from class to class to boo at her own students who didn't know my secret. Drawing the attention of the entire teaching staff.
I hope you are not here to attack me because of thornapple?.

RomanceRe: What Is The Most Unfair Punishment You Have Ever Received? by Collyno82(m): 9:06pm On Feb 02, 2017
Sincere4u:
It's been hard trying to recall any punishment since i become like a sacred cow much early in school.
It was in JSS1. Among all our teachers the Yoruba teacher hated me for good reasons.
I often hit between 90-100% score on most subjects.
The teachers of subjects where i got a perfect 100% score will go bragging making it look as if it was by their own efforts i had the score.
Their colleagues will console themselves pointing out that i also had close to 100% in their own subjects.
To them it seemed they taught well. That was why i did so well.
For the Yoruba's teacher her story was different. She once tried defending my poor performance in her subject based on the fact i wasn't from the SW but someone quickly pointed out i also had 100% in French (a foreign language). This shut her up, leaving her embarrassed.
By next term she started giving me special attention in class. She would break every thing down for me to understand but you see, i had Zero tolerance for that subject.
Poor performance continued through the 2nd term into the third.
She felt i was deliberately embarrassing her. So towards the end of third term she walked into the class from the back door and the class was so noisy that afternoon. I happened to be the captain of the class but rather than punish the class she said i was the cause of the noise.
Truth be told, there was noise in the class. I had tried to get them quiet but the moment i sat down to concentrate on a book i was reading, they resumed.
She insisted that for me to be in a class that turned into a market place i deserved to be punished.
Being the captain meant i was normally exempted from punishments but that day was different.
One would've thought she was going to cane me right there but she had other plans.
She ordered me to follow her downstairs to her office.
On reaching there she shut the door and turned on the light.
What happened next was beyond my wildest imagination.
The woman dropped the cane on the floor and came at me with clenched fists.
Heeeeegh as small as i was?. This lady was so massive!.
I was horrified and made for the door but she grabbed me by the back of my neck. In that instance someone knocked on the door.
She then released me and went for the cane as the intruder called out to know who was inside.
The door was unlocked but that didn't prevent the beaten that had been waiting for me since first term.
She caned me All Over in such a brutal manner that people started asking questions.
Her response was that she's been having headache all afternoon because my class was rioting upstairs and I was cheering them up.
That was the worst beating i ever got and fortunately the very last in the years that followed till i wrote my SSCE and graduated.
U can lie ooh. Ur write up didn't portray u as one making 100% in French
RomanceRe: What Is Your Worst Near Rape Experience Or Sexual Harassment?. by Collyno82(m): 9:01pm On Feb 02, 2017
thornapple:
There was this uncle that had been making sexual advances to me for quite a while. It got to a point i reported it to his wife but she seemed helpless herself not to talk of confronting him.
He was my father's business partner and often came to our house.
There was this day he came around and my parents and siblings weren't around.
He was actually been expected as there were files my younger brother was supposed to hand over to him as instructed by Dad.
As is usual with him, my brother soon left to play ball with his friends leaving our gate unlocked.
I was watching African magic before the lights went out so i laid on the settee for my siesta.
Woke to the creaking sound of our front door. As i opened my eyes i saw the figure of a man walking straight into our living room. Jumped to my feet in shock only to realize it was my Dad's friend.
Initially thought it was a robber or something so i felt quite relieved.
Knowing what he came for i offered him a seat as i got up to go get the files. He was already seated as i turned to leave but then i returned to pick my phone in order to call my brother in case i couldn't locate the files in his room.
By the time i got back i noticed he was back on his feet.
Not suspecting anything i persuaded him to exercise patience that i won't be long and hurried off with my phone.
Locating the file didn't take much time but as i turned to leave i saw the man now Manning the door to my brother's room.
I had never felt so shocked in my life before.
The man started asking me for just few minutes with him.
I had never done this before, getting deflowered by a married man right in my father's house was unthinkable.
I threatened to scream and draw the attention of my brother but he told me he saw my brother playing with his friends in the neighborhood on his way.
I was thinking really fast but as i did, he brought out his joystick and started stroking it gently as he stepped into the room.
That was the clue i needed to know what to do.
I turned on the video recording app in my phone as he begged.
It was my very first time of seeing an adult "thing" in my life.
At a point he started making towards me so i told him what i just did.
As scared as i was i asked him to let me go else he won't get away with it.
To my relief he turned sober and begged me to delete the video.
I gave him my word i would gladly delete it once it was safe to do so.
He listened and we both stepped out with him leading the way since he was closer to the door.
Once at the gate i turned on my phone to delete it but he wanted to delete it himself to be sure so i handed him the phone.
The moment he was done he quickly returned my phone and hurried off.
Without any video evidence i still reported the incidence to my mom and that was the last i ever saw of him till date.

So Ladies in the house share yours as i just did.
