Against tomorrow game, it's only SE that can win SE. Once SE didn't press the destructive button like they did against Madagascar. So fear not Naija fans.
Rohr today had a compliment of all 23 players. So he is spoilt for choice in tomorrow's game.
I am still not sold out on Ome/Ekong combo. Ekong is not a good passer of the ball. Balo is a better option if we must build from the back.
Ekong/Omeruo most times gets confused on who moves & who stays. If they must play tomorrow, they must be communicating steadily.

Every one loves Ighalo.
If you were one of those that called Rohr a fraudster and a bribe taker for including injured Ighalo in the list, raise your hand. Don't be ashamed.

Yet, with his crappy players he got to second round of the world cup and won the nations cup . However, Rohr, with all the ballers he parade his team cant play simple passes....Now, who is better?
Keshi 11 on the pitch were all good players, he only had a crappy bench. They were just moving objects, that was why he got confused when Onazi was injured.

Lol...So it's Southern Africa that has overtaken us ?
Because Nigeria lost to SA and couldn't beat Madagascar?

Wake up to the reality bro. southern African teams are known to play quick country attacking football. they rely on pace a lot.. no be today e start. .even Zambia and Zimbabwe play like that...and I dare say Mozambique too...
But how far have they gone??
Maybe at club level they are better. .but west Africa still run the game...
Never said they have overtaken the west. Check my earlier post. They re improving with speed. And they re catching up. If the west continues with their ball hugging thing, they will start struggling in a near future.

Oga are you satisfied with what the west africans are playing in this afcon including this Ghana?

Let me remind you that both Guinea and Nigeria could not beat madagascar o
West Africans have a problem. It has been there all the while which is hugging d hall, then dribble before making a pass. We have been lucky over d years cos the other sides were not as improved as the west was.
This time South side has developed team play & quick interchange of passes. Since west no longer produce good dribblers, they re suffering for it.
Ngr & Guinea couldn't beat Madagascar cos they re always cot flatfooted with quick ball interchange.

This can't rise again except by prayer and fasting! grin
Still on still, of d 7 teams that have qualified. Westside have locked down 4. South side 2, North side 1. GH is picking the 5th slot 2nite. 5/8. Maybe others are dipping more than the west. But I think Southies re improving with speed of light. They re playing with one particular football philosophy.

True. They pretty much provided no solution to the numerous problems. I would have thought the theme could have been "challenges of open grazing and economic benefits of ranching". That would have made it worthwhile. That sector trumps oil and gas if managed commercially across the value chain and would create numerous jobs for the youths.
No they will never think in that line, rather they want to settle the whole Fulani from CAR & Mauritania in South Nigeria. Got cold chills when I communicated with one. Got to find out that his English was like French. When I spoke French to him, na so we begin dey talk. Wahala dey oh

Gernot rohr stubborn sha

So he knows how to bench balogun ? Forget the blunder against Madagascar ,balogun has done well in this tournament

Now the issue is if gernot rohr can bench balogun why can't he bench others ?

Anyway up eagles
I hope they don't intend to build from the back cos Ekong will cost us a goal. Balogun is a better option. All d same, I wish them all the luck. Like I have said, its only SE that can win SE. If SE doesn't cause a goal themselves, then they will win.

This present SE don't know how to play as a team and they haven't been trained to be deadly in attack. No matter how spurred they are, a blunt attack is a blunt attack
Yes they hug the ball so much. Quick exchange of pass can easily disorganize a team. That's my worry and their off d ball movement is very very poor. That's why you see them waiting for passes to meet them against moving to meet the pass. Hope to see an improvement in these areas

I'm hopeful myself. I believe the loss to Madagascar will inspire the team. But it may be safer for you emotionally and mentally to focus on Cameroon first instead of looking beyond the round of 16. You know, just in case! For one reason, due to the unpredictable nature of the sport. Just a thought bro!
Fear not, we will survive Cameroon. Next game is against d host. That's d big Elephant.

They will also find it hellish getting past our defence marshalled by the La Liga Warrior in Kenneth Omeruo partnered by a resurgent Balogun. The defence of the first two games is what Cameroun will be up against and they will sweat.

Also, that game will be decided in 90mins or worse, extra time. There will be no penalties. Cameroun is yet to concede, I know... But they will concede against the Super Eagles.

History favors Nigeria because we always have it good against any tournament's defending champions. We have never lost to a defending champions in a Knock out.
Am already looking beyond Cameroun. If you know you know.

Alaves will suit him. If its true, he should not let it pass by. His only problem is he hugs the ball so much. He only needs to master when to hold and when to pass, I think we have a gem in our hand.

You think you are the only one that have players you prefer to start ?

Many people should know that I am a fan of onyekuru and I was praying he should get some minutes even if it's 20 minutes but dude got nothing and I can bet you that onyekuru might not kick ball in this competition even if we make it to the semi finals

I just want to support the team ,any player wey rohr use I go support the team ,I can't be here ranting like so many people because some players have not played

We can rant from now till next year the coach doesn't care about our opinion okay

Yes ighalo have not been superb but which forward have been that superb ? Even when onauchu played the first game and have 2 shots on targets some people here where even insulting him that he was so poor as if the guy had sweet passes distributed to him ?

I want to see osimhen play and I beleive he has alot to offer because he is yet to get any minutes but sorry anybody the coach uses i will support than to rant because my favorite player is not playing

Balogun do mistake but there was more ighalo bashing from this thread ,that should tell you alot

Some people can't even wait for next match ,as far as ighalo is starting next game many people will be so happy if we got kick out of the tournament

Make I end here .
No one saw the Balogun mistake. Even Ekong made the same. Waiting for d ball. Why will a player be waiting for d ball. Blaming Ogu for passing to Balogun where as d same Balogun raised his hand for d ball. Ighalo did all he could do in that game. No single correct pass to him. No one has called out Musa that ran and left the ball twice or kalu that didn't send even one ball or Mikel that forgets what he wants to do with the ball. Pls let's cut Iggy some slack.

Shame on the EX SSA!

He did not state the terms and conditions in which this settlements were established. Where they sold or leased? Was their a designated alloted hectares to them

Sold his soul, body and conscience way back and here today wailing

How will an educated man go into an agreement that suddenly lost track of it. If there was ever an agreement. They sold their souls for a pot of porridge way-back and here today, he is crying foul.

In a sane world where an enlightened and educated man is in the helms of affairs, such can never happen. At worst, we revoke the lease.

Mile 12 market is dominated by Fulanis and they will be relocated to Ikorodu axis soon, did you hear any fuss about that? This shows you men knew what they were doing way-back.

The efforts of His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR) in bringing a permanent end to farmers/herders conflict and enhance national security can never be deterred and remains unshaken.

The same killers he told the whole world that are from Libya, Mauritania, and Senegal. Meaning he wants to allocate lands to foreignershuh Or what. The whole thing is not clear.
