Icon4s: Kanu looks quite shaper and more skillful than Oparanozie. But what Oparanozie has going for her is her overall involvement in play. Asides, being the CF forward she sometimes drifts wide and interchanges with Oshoala(who also goes central some times).
My concern now is if we have a credible replacement for Rita Chikwelu. That woman has monopolized that CM position for like 10 years now and she always plays 90mins of every game. So I don't know if they have developed any player to fill that position in her absence. The gaffer can tweak his formation if we don't have like to like replacement. But definitely, the team will miss her. She is what we call heavy duty engine. Lol |

Oparanozie is no longer on d same wavelength with Oshoala & Ordega. If we scale to d next round, I expect Kanu to come in her stead to partner Oshoala & Ordega. Just my thinking tho. If we must use the defence & counter style. |

Oshoala should interchange with Ordega. French LB is slow off d blocks. If they can hold till 70min. Frustration will set in on d part of d French. Gaps will start opening up. |

EmagNig: A Nigerian man has reportedly stopped paying his daughter's school fee after she asked him to wash his dishes after meal.
According to a post updated on social media by Dr. Olusesan, the lady is studying in the United Kingdom and during one of his visits, the daughter asked him to wash his plates by himself.
The mother however has been at loggerhead with her husband over his decision.
Dr. Olusesan wrote:
While supporting the motion that men should not do dishes in the home, Olusesan wrote that men are saddled with bigger responsibilities of providing for the home and they should not be relegated to do such tasks, except when there is the need to support the woman.

Marjoribanks: I do think we should give Akpeyi a second chance. If he could have been bought by Orlando Pirates from Chippa United then I believe he will come good. Our defence is top notch even at the world cup it was hard scoring against us. I believe that Senegal goal must have come off a set piece for a player like Gana to have scored us. All their Balde this, One guy scoring for fun in Turkey etc. Dem no even allow us hear word yet they can't score ordinary Akpeyi. Also, this is Ighalo first match in almost a month, so it is a good test for him hopefully he will come good on Saturday. One thing I know for certain it will be quite difficult for any team to score against us. We have quality in our attack, we will come good. This is our AFCON to loose. However, we should work on how to defend set pieces! Spoken like a prophet. Am really not afraid of African opposition. I think Rohr knows how to shut them down. If we play for each other and with all seriousness, we will pick d cup. 2013 team is even weaker than this team. But the attack played for each other. Ideye/Emenike. |

And people want to compare him with Ighalo.

gbosaa: The right managers and team psychologists would turn both teams into champions. Flying Eagles didn’t perform that poorly. They could easily had won Ukraine and Senegal. Ironically, Ukraine’s toughest match and the only match they didn’t win was against Nigeria. Ukraine in my opinion will lift the trophy by weekend. Falcons lost to Norway because they lacked the confidence and discipline needed. The 3-0 isn’t a true reflection of the match. They will redeem themselves against the Koreans. When a team refuses to put into practice d basics in any football match, the situations will keep repeating itself. The 2 teams I still repeat, lacks d basics when it comes to off the ball movements. They only look good when they re with the ball. But leaves a lot of spaces once they re not with the ball. The defence is even worse. Flat footed, all eyes on d ball without watching free runners. I pray they don't repeat the same today. Korea will tear them apart with their technical abilities. |
Politics › Re: Happy Democracy Day: Who Are Your Heroes And Villains Of June 12? by comodo: 12:04pm On Jun 12, 2019 |
JKisOK: Today is June 12, a day that South-West states have celebrated since 1999 as their own Democracy Day, and the Federal Government has adopted for celebration as Democracy Day throughout Nigeria. This years marks the first time it will be celebrated nationwide.
The undisputed Hero and Icon of the day is the Millionaire Business Mogul and Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. He had as his Running Mate, Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe. Running on the ticket of the rival National Republic Convention (NRC) in the two horse-race was Kano Businessman, Alhaji Bashir Tofa, who has Dr. Sylvester Ugoh as his Running Mate.
In an election that local and international observers adjudge as the best ever in Nigeria, Abiola won with 8,341,309 (58.36%) votes to Tofa’s 5,952,087 (41.64%). However, General Ibrahim Babangida surprised the entire nation and the world by annulling this highly credible election. In the fight for the revalidation of his mandate, Abiola was arrested and detained by General Sani Abacha, and he died in detention in 1998.
Who are your heroes and villains of the entire June 12 episode?
My personal list will read as follows:
HEROES
MKO Abiola Kudirat Abiola Alfred Rewane NUPENG Frank Kokori Nigerian Masses Nigerian Media NADECO OPC Dan Suleiman Colonel Umar Kangiwa Frederick Fasehun Wole Soyinka Gani Fawehinmi Ayo Opadokun Adekunle Ajasin Walter Carrington Arthur Nwankwo Chukwuemeka Ezeife Sam Mbakwe C.C. Onoh
VILLAINS
General Ibrahim Babangida General Sani Abacha Baba Gana Kingibe Tony Anenih Paschal Bafyau And they never mentioned Prof Humphrey Nwosu. His name should be no 1. When heroes re being mentioned |

PDPGuy: Unpopular/sexist opinion here: I strongly think that IFAB should reduce the dimensions of the soccer pitch and the goal posts for women’s football. This is because 95% of the female players look like little kids on the pitch, and full backs can barely run the width of the pitch without gassing out. Also, due to the fact that the average height of the goalies is 5’7” - 5’8”, it won’t be out of place for the height and length of the goalposts to be reduced by, say, 1ft., U17 goal posts go reduce by 4ft then. Just thinking tho |

I would rather play simon close to Aina to help him defensively, Aina is a culprit when defending if you watch As Roma matches he's always caught off guard.
Lastly uncle Rohr won't start Victor ahead of ighalo, Thank You You re right. If Aina must be at the back, then he needs a MF that tracks back. The guy ball watching sometimes no be here. Actually its Torino, not AS Roma. |

mostob: Uchenna Grace Kanu Jersey no.12 Date of birth: 20.06.1997 (21yrs) Height: 176 cm Weight: 66 kg Position: Striker Club: Southeastern University, USA. FIFA World Cup Appearances: ( Debut ) A versatile attacker, Kanu is capable of playing on either wing as well as through the centre of the pitch, and while ostensibly left-footed, she's very strong with both feet. She is ranks among the world's young fastest female footballers, both with and without the ball. The Abia, Nigeria native set a new NAIA single-season record in goals scored with 57 goals netted this past season, which helped Kanu to earn the distinction of being the 2018 United Soccer Coaches NAIA Player of the Year. During her three years at Southeastern, women's soccer player Uchenna Kanu has scored 115 goals and has recorded 32 assists. She has been The Sun Conference Player of the Year each of the last two seasons, First Team All-Conference the past three seasons, and was a First Team NAIA All-American this past season. She has developed a muscular body type that allows her to retain possession of the ball, and strong legs that make up for an outstanding jumping ability. Her strength and jumping ability, combined with her elevation, heading accuracy, and height of 1.76m, gives her an edge in winning aerial challenges for balls. These attributes allow her to function as a target-woman, and make her an aerial goal threat in the penalty area; consequently, many of her goals have been headers. Allied with her increased stamina and work-rate, her goalscoring ability improved drastically on the left wing where she has been given the positional by SEU Coach freedom to move into the centre to finish attacks. She has increasingly played a creative role for her team, often dropping deep to pick up the ball, participate in the build-up of plays, and create chances for her teammates, courtesy of her good vision and passing ability. She also played for Pensacola FC in the WPSL in 2018. She has been the best U21 Women Footballer in Africa for over 3 years now. She is a Complete Striker. She is been referred to as the Female Ronaldo by her Nigeria Followers after winning the golden boot at the 2019 WAFU Cup edition scoring 10goals in 5games. Strength- Good Height, Strong player, Good header, Uses both feet effectively, Deadly in front of goal, Freekick Specialist, Fast Player, Skillful and a Good Passer, Selfless player (Team player), Accurate Shooting.
Weaknesses —Could be selfish with the ball. It no far again. We go see if she be d next Nkwocha. |
