175 killed under how many months? Meanwhile that’s just one week bandits/boko haram killing quota in kaduna alone ![]() Buckeyemedia1:You this Nairaland terrorist. What state do you prefer i compare it to? Is it Plateau state? Borno? Benue state? Zamfara? Gombe? Taraba? Or aren’t human beings the ones dying in these states too? Hypocrisy is calling for a state of emergency in Anambra while being blind to the plight of those unfortunate to be dying anyhow in these other states. |
mammanbawa:My brother dru wahala tire everybody ![]() |
Dru23 so you’re trying to tell us you’ve never seen any of these oils in your yankee before abi

dru23:Yankee has at least 3 months of winter and Nigeria does not hence Mobil XHP 20w50 conventional oil can be used by vehicles here safely so far as it’s not in a modern engine (some 2010 and above). Over here Vehicle fluids don’t freeze up solid unlike over there that’s why our coolants don’t have anti freeze in them. During service with a dealership they usually use oils from drums to service their customers vehicles. I am certain that the company servicing my dads car at the time used 20w50 drum oil on his engine from the get go. Remember this was a car bought brand new and made specifically to be used in our climate. That engine has a total of 170,000kms on its odometer today and I am dead certain that 99% of that mileage was done with Mobil XHP 20w50 conventional oil changes twice a year. If we wanted to do once a year oil changes we’d switch to Mobil1 20w50 fully synthetic oil or it’s equivalent. For you to be saying that you can’t find 20w50 weight oil over there means you’ve never gone out in search of it for any particular reason before. Ask your neighbors who race their cars or ride sports/power bikes and they’d direct you to where you can buy them. If you could import fully synthetic 20w50 oils to Nigeria and sensitize people that they can use it for changes just once a year or every 6 months I bet you will make triple sales because normally it’s cheaper to buy, withstands shearing/breakdown better than other lighter weight oils and it’s full synthetic too with anti sludge detergent additives as a bonus. A majority of Nigerians will patronize you if you stocked any of the oils below (including my dad)
|
xperiencelove:Do you know that this same 20w50 oil you’re bad mouthing has its full synthetic versions from most major oil brands like Mobil. Valvoline. Liquimoly. etc? If you use that oil weight in a country that never sees very cold weather your engine will be fine although some newer engines from 2010 above tended to have tighter tolerances in oil passages and recommended lighter weight oils exclusively in their manuals. True story my dad purchased a new car back in 2005 and after the first year warranty changes at the dealership he started using Mobil XHP and changed it religiously every 4-5k kms or twice a year and till date that engine has never consumed a drop of oil, has no sludge, never smoked or developed any issue. When he wants to change the oil it would still look amber/golden as if the oil had never even been used. His mechanic takes it to use in his generator. It’s a toyota 2RZ EFI engine that has been using Mobil super XHP 20w50 conventional oil for 15 years till today. Even i myself that uses synthetic 5w30 my oil must be black by 5k kms when I’m supposed to change it out so I believe in everything concerning vehicles timely maintenance is key. |
asomix22:Honda four plugs engines are bullet proof especially the ones from 2003-2012. If you actually serviced your engine and before you drove up to a few hundred miles your engine knocked it must be because of a failure with your oil pump especially if you had no leaks at your seals or drain bolt. When driving always keep an eye on your temperature and oil pressure indicators in your cluster. Before anything that affects your engine happens one of these two indicators must warn you. Buy another engine half and top and use then be watchful. Use recommended oil ad service on schedule. |
Your engine has how many plugs |
Barb your hair N300 and flex the balance of N4700. |
Why are they killing themselves can’t they just hug then go to aso rock to collect amnesty together as their mates are doing |
kollinzgee:My brother e tire me. Everybody has seen it but what is there to say. This issue of why a dss agent was murdered will die away. Our usual vultures here are waiting for how to spin it against ipob before they can come out to play. It’s sad. |
op are you the Nairaland member who has been meeting those ugm members that kill people? |
lied:What about psalms? Won’t you like to get a phone from his store too ![]() |
kingreign:Isn’t it majorly in its 6cyl versions that the transmissions were prone to issues? I think the 4 plugs own were stable at the time |
hoilakes:Okay thank you very much |
hoilakes:I have a smile mifi my friend used like 5 years ago before he traveled. I would like to subscribe on it again but I don’t know the SIM card phone number or how to even pay for its sub. Can you tell me how you can do these things? |
Slickleo:It’s not by oil. I’ve seen enough bad reviews of engine oils but some reviews actually make me laugh very hard ![]()
|
Structuralman:Yes. Check if it’s wiring is loose. If it’s firm then either the sensor itself is bad or your codes are O2 sensor related. |
Structuralman:Sorry I meant AF ratio sensor. According to your scan codes PO135 and PO141 you have a general malfunction with both your AF and O2 sensors. They might both be linked together meaning fix one issue and the other issue goes away. Maybe if you plug your O2 sensor back the code for your AF sensor will go away
|
Rumundele:Snap the gear exchanger so we understand your mech better. |
Structuralman:First Pic is the location of your IAT sensor. Second is the scan codes description Third and fourth are your components locations.
|
Structuralman:If you look behind your engine, at the part facing the firewall you’d see a metal covering over your exhaust manifold. Your AF sensor is under that pan. If you have a space on your O2 sensor socket and a sensor plugged in but with nowhere to link it to under your front passenger seat then I believe that part of your harness is either hidden (wires bent back/way from where it’s supposed to pop out from) or lost (cut off by a prior auto electrician). So try to go under your passenger seat with a flashlight and a flat screwdriver, push your passenger seat all the way forward, loosen the single plastic floor carpet fastener, pull back the carpet and look around very carefully. The main harness port where you are supposed to plug in your O2 sensor runs from under that chair towards the handbrake/gear lever part of your car and then straight ahead to the brain box. You can try doing the checking at night when your eyes can focus well with your flashlight. You would see the plug for your present O2 sensor dangling somewhere under there then look around for the main harness port. Go on YouTube and watch how to plug in the sensor for your car and you’d see everything you need to know. |
Bigsunny01:Did you acquire it as a Nigerian used or tokumbo? If it’s Nigeria used then follow your mechanics suggestion but if it’s tokumbo then use a good oil with the 5w30 weight for it. |
Structuralman:Okay that’s settled. If you haven’t changed the brain box of the car before then you should be having emissions malfunction codes if you’re driving with only one sensor. There should be the AF sensor on your exhaust manifold and the O2 sensor at the catalyst part of your exhaust pipe. Have you scanned the car already? Which of the sensors is missing? |
Structuralman:Can I ask how you know for sure that it’s a sulev engine? The sulevs are supposed to have an extra o2 sensor and a different type of catalyst. |
Structuralman:Is your model the one with a SULEV engine? Those are the ones with two sensors. |
Isn’t it just for only tomorrow? Let them all take it down to safeguard their investments. Next tomorrow they hang it up again and life goes on Let nobody come and be crying because of cloth flag being taken down. Some other states have their entire telecommunications systems taken down recently too and yet there wasn’t a state of emergency declared. |
LegendHero:Do you think they don’t want to use their Biafra pounds? Wasn’t it the same government that banned the currency notes years ago and arrested people massively because of just holding it even without being able to spend it? |
Reflect7:Hypocrite. You’re crying because they are taking down just ordinary cloth flag. What of other states where their whole telecommunications networks were taken down for their own security problems. Why hasn’t state of emergency been declared there? |
PrinceOfLagos:You’ve been engaging him without knowing. He’s the same person operating the buckeymedia001 monika we see around politics section |
NoFucksToGive:Don’t mind helinues. After they ban him again he will run and activate his buckeymedia001 monika and continue his uselessness on this forum. |
You’d better go round your four tyes right now and check all your nuts. There might be another nut that’s about to run loose, worn out or go haywire and leave you stranded at a bad corner one day soon if you’re not proactive today. Your wheels and nuts are very important safety aspects of your vehicle. Don’t play with your nuts. As a man your nuts are your legacy.
