I happened to go and help a friend track nilesat yesterday evening with a fibre 3m dish from the same maker of my 4.4m, though it was not planned at all, i am really pleased with myself to say that it didnt take me 15 minutes to get signal (cutting of lnb, fixing lnb and arrange dish inclusive)

My concern with the installation is that, my friend bought a supermas lnb with 0.5db (he didnt notify me before buying), and i was thinking it will give us problems, but i was still able to get 74% with the tracking frequency of 11862v.

Pitodenz, George_D, Olofofo, is it possible that if the db has been lower, i cud have gotten a better percentage of frequency thereby getting more channels than the current 245?

Thanks for those info on Badr, i will try it either tonight or tomorrow, i am looking at using a 2.4m pan dish i got from olofofo

Suprisingly, with the 4.4m dish no down time as all the channels do not crack or dissapear, in hot sun or cloudy nights.

all wot u said is perfect tho is sad i got dis message late as i av finished tweakin b4 layin on my bed 2 read dis msg.

I started work on d dish dis evenin wen it was all cloudy n drizzlin.

To cut long story short, i used my trackin freq (11862) n turned my lnb to 4 o'clock (while facin d dish) n i got 84%. CNN came out wit 52%, showsport wit over 50% cant remember exactly n no ab4 freq came out but now i av 343 channels - there r some channels dat had no name it came out wit TV1 then freq as if they are feeds, one of which showed dundee utd vs hearts match. Ac milan vs juventus was on AD SPORTS

Thanks for your comment, i will get back at it again tonight, meanwhile, there seems to be changes with some of the tps, so i have printed a new channel list from lyngsat and go and try tonight.

What is the minimum dish to get good signal with all the channels of Badr 4/6? I am looking at facing a dish at dat too.

What is the tracking tp and is the tracking similar to nilesat? i.e. lnb skew, type of lnb and does the lnb needs to be cut?

i got my 4.4m dish hooked up 2 nilesat yesterday night n got 245 channels. Big thanks 2 olofofo who has not being selfish wit is experience.

I used FUJI High Definition 0.2db LNB (given 2 me by olofofo) cut by me to get 73% on my trackin frequency 11862 V n most of d H freq came out except for 11996 H (showsports freq) and 11843 H (nile sports)which is jumpin btw red n green.

While i was at it yeste AD SPORTS was showin Barca match, nile is da bomb.

wot am i not doin right for me to get show sports? My Lnb focal point is on 90 degrees or thereabout while facin d dish n is smoothly parallel wit d scaler. Please help i wil return back 2 it after work tonight.

i trackd crtv/multi tv durin confed cup n watchd semi final on crtv.then it was only crtv n lmtv dat was showin,d rest was audio,then i didnt knw it was mpeg-4.to track it, first track dstv/eutelsat w4 then raise ur dish a little up and right,u wil get green wit as high as 97% on 90cm dish but wit 50cm dishes over 70%

I have arranged for a 4.4m dish that might be ready maybe in two weeks time.

I am looking at using it for Nilesat, i will get the house posted on what and how it gets.

Currently, i am working on using a 2.4m pan dish to track down Nilesat, but it looks like the dish is warped and if i can't get Nilesat tonight, i will try Badr 4, I will get the house posted.

On your hitv decoder, use this frequency and enable network search and it will get all the channels of DSTV as long as you dish is well aligned.

You can use a 50cm dish for MYTV because that what i use (HITV 50cm dish). Though i would have loved to use a 90cm or 1M dish but i use it for my DSTV/HITV because when it starts raining, it still stays for a longer time before the DSTV channels will have problems.

The same thing for the channels, when they want to start scrambling, they leave one after the other, is not like HITV that all go off once, them come one after the other and leave one after the other. As discussed i am texting you my office address now.

You can still get the dual view and try and get another dish for MYTV Africa, nice channel etv is there, if you do not subscribe to any service, you can still watch Champions League (when is on).

Or you can face your dish to Malagasy and you get to watch both Premiership and Champions League matches free, but they speak French most times, so it might help you to brush up your language skills.

So you dual view no go waste too. Talking of gadgets about, i have three decorders, i suppose is worth it.

Is funny, me tempting you.

I am not concerned about the money now, but when you really want to enjoy DSTV with their services, have their decorder.

There is no decorder in the market like it and its designed to fit their system (interactive services, options etc)

If is saying invalid smart card, then something is wrong with the card unit of the decorder you are using it with and if you continue to change cards on it, soon enough, non of the card will be working well without you packing (using something to hold it in place) it.

I suppose by now is showing?
