freecocoa: Hian o!

What is wrong with this world?

Walai, sometimes I think I don't want to get married, the idea of living with someone I don't know from adam the rest of my life scares me.

What if he wakes up one day and snaps? Na wa o.
the seeds of the female-biased society in the west. the laws would make men with fragile egos snap. if a man has a wife & children & the wife cheats, she would get a divorce. she would kick the man out of his own house & take custody of the kids. if the house was bought in his name, he would continue to pay even when he's not staying there. the law even permits her to bring her new boyfriend there to live with her while the ex-husband continues to pay mortgage & child support.

how long before a man snaps?
Its going to be very difficult to get into the top 4 this year. undecided
if we win our next 3 games, we would be in top four by first week in january. our fixtures going into christmas are the easiest. the teams at the top get to play each other from now till january.

the only issue is i don't trust moyes to win them.

if only we had won our last 2 home games, we would be only 4 points below the leaders now. honestly, this season has been so strange. no team is really making a feast of it.

montelik: last time Fletcher came back from iillness, he had lost about 2 yards of pace and a good amount of his usual output. it looks like his most recent bout of illness has taken even more out of him.

but his experience is invaluable much preferable to Giggs.
he can only get better if we play him....
i want to start seeing moyes field players in their natural positions. no more make-shift nonsense. these few minutes would do fletcher a world of good.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 3:54pm On Dec 15, 2013
montelik: Evra. its amazing how his one time consistency has disappeared.
janujaz does not cover for evra at all. in short, if we don't have welbeck or young ahead of evra, he's on his own on that left channel.

somebody tell me why moyes can't rest big players on the pitch right now & keep them fresh for the next game? it's 67 mins already.

All this talk of CMs, I think we also need a very good left winger too... The attack is too lopsided!
the right wing gives us strength when rafael plays. moyes is the only united follower that doesn't know this. you would soon see smalling or jones there in the coming weeks & screw up everything again.

rafael has clearly beasted this game....
he's nullified attacks & cause problems for villa on the right channel. valencia gets 6000% better with rafael on the pitch.

valencia himself should have gotten a goal & welbeck should have added one more. nice wing play so far. nothing has happened through the middle & janujaz should learn to release the ball quicker.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 3:08pm On Dec 15, 2013

debosky: Dunno if Arteta would've told Wilshere not to lose the ball stupidly in midfield repeatedly, or told Wilshere to track his fullback, or tell Per and Kos to react in the box for the first and fourth goals.

Those talking about midfield are jokers - this game was lost off crosses, giving the ball away and failures in the box.
don't mind them & their hindsight analysis.

proudlysports: At the end of the day, he is still one player tongue
........doing the job of 3 players.

It was 4-2 before AW took off Flamini. We conceded two goals in 18 minutes after that. Prior to that, we conceded an average of 1 goal every 18 minutes. Don't read too much into the stats though.
You need to watch the highlights to see Nasri's chances to understand why taking Flamini off/not bringing Arteta on was the wrong sub.
I have not said Arsene should have played 10 players behind the ball only that he could have helped the defense more rather than leave them open to City's onslaught.
helped the defence how?
are you saying arsenal should have accepted the loss by keeping a respectable scoreline or what? i really don't understand your point.

This is why I said at 4-2, seeing what Yaya and Fernadinho were doing to our midfield, we could have brought in a more defensive minded player to help Flamini out and try to restrict City's goals to 4 whilst trying to see if we could score more within 5 minutes.
helping your defence at this point would amount to nothing. it's 4-2. the best that could happen is to stop conceding goals and you will still lose 3 points. what's the difference between 6-3 loss & 4-2 loss? wenger went for it thinking he could rescue the game.

I was practically screaming at Wenger to "help the defense" during the second half of the game.
if he had drawn the game with the subs he made, you would be hailing him as a genius. he was losing 2-4 & you want him to bring on defenders. na defenders go equalise for you?

sleekdot: ^^ Whats steely about Citys defence that has conceeded 18 goals all season?
18 goals in 16 league games - hardly a crisis. how many times has city conceded 3 goals at the etihad this season? #crickets.

proudlysports: It's interesting that in one line you said " i don't see how one single player could have prevented 6 goals" and then another line you went on to say "arteta is not roy keane". Does Roy Keane now represent two players? cheesy
roy keane epitomises inspiration. if he was on that pitch today, he would have crippled toure & fernandinho. keane is a beast defensively & a pitbull offensively plus he does the manager's job on the pitch. make a horrible pass & keane will give you an earful.

Like I said, there's no way to know for certain what would have happened had Arteta played or not but it is obvious City totally overwhelmed Flamini. To make matters worse, AW then took out Flamini for Gnabry. Even AW has come out to acknowledge the latter.
score was 3-2 at some point. don't act like wenger's changes didn't yield results. you really expected arsenal to go there & put 10 men behind the ball?? come on......arsenal of 3 seasons ago would have done that, not this season's arsenal.

Simply put, the defense did not get enough protection from midfield today. It may not have stopped them from winning but I doubt they would have scored 6 against us. Prior to this game, we had best defense in the league. There's a reason for that
it was an end to end action.
arsenal could have scored 6 too. it hinged on who had the best offensive players & city had more quality in the final third. hardly anything to worry about. it's 6-3, city's steely defence also conceded 3 goals.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by coogar: 7:59pm On Dec 14, 2013
Playing it a bit more defensive against a rampant attack wouldn't have left us as exposed as we were today and the Arteta-Flamini combo would have been the best way to tame them. Wenger's gameplan of "attack is the best form of defence" was flawed.
he's the league leader....
wenger went to the etihad to prove arsenal's credentials ain't fluke. city were capitalising on arsenal's passing mistakes. it got to a point where arsene had to decide between doing a damage limitation(accept the loss) or go for it(attack & rescue the game). he chose the latter. city found more space & punished arsenal's mistakes.

arteta wouldn't have been able to stop that.

Promhize: N249050 ke, I'm sure a graduate from that university isn't better than the average OAU graduate.
OAU is the cheapest in nigeria but it's extremely difficult to get into. they have their standards so high which gives the poor & the rich an equal chance as long as the student is intellectually sound.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by coogar: 7:41pm On Dec 14, 2013
StarBoard: Arteta doesn't have to be Keane to be important to Arsenal. He has transformed to a Mikel type player for them so far and he is very key to their fortunes defensively. everybody cannot be ninja type players like Keane. You say that as much that the all-action defensive midfielder is a thing of the past.
Plus, the fact that the Fernandinho-Toure axis has lost to basement sides shows they can be vulnerable, never mind what they do at the etihad. You wouldn't blame Arsenal for feeling confident ahead of a tie vs a side who have lost away to teams the Gunners have beaten in their respective backyards this season.
I feel Arteta's presence could have reduced the freedom City's midfield enjoyed this afternoon. United and Spurs have hardly had what you would term stable mid fields this season for differing reasons as compared to Arsenal.City most likely would have won but not with that score line in my view.
i will not say anything further - if you think arteta was the difference between 1-1 & 6-3 then there's no need to drag this at all.
