He has done nowt more than the minimum ask of a premier league level footballer...

Time will tell though...
welbeck is criminally underrated here.....
he's the 4th best striker in united but i can bet he would be 2nd best in most clubs in the division. he's better than sturridge in my opinion and i am sure he would give adebayor a run for his money. he's operated mostly as a winger this season so his stats don't look really good. i can't wait to have nani back so welbeck can move back to his natural position.

ileobatojo: Sooo, first the sister believes that she can come fight her brother's wife in her own home at anytime she feels like it.

She believes she has a right to park herself outside their house like a crazed stalker waiting for an opportunity to enter even after being locked out.

She also believes that she has the right to be gained admission into the home by her brother at any time even when her mission is to come fight with his wife.

She believes that failure to be admitted to the house means fighting with whoever stands in her way.

Ooookay!
By the way, what's the OP's question again?

toluene12: except they are a upper middle class family, $240/month is good money that could go into other meaningful things other than wasting it on housemaid (particularly if they reside in u.k). Besides she still has to manage daily domestic chores which is actually the real work.
you would get a good housekeeper in the uk for £11/hr. uk houses are very small - if she's not an obese heifer, she should be completing her task within 2 hrs and i mean white glove test performance!
Family › Re: Why Men Don't Help-Out With Domestic Chores by coogar: 9:21pm On Jan 15, 2013
Well, I've budgeted it, and as long as we pay for daycare/nanny, housemaid would take too much of our savings. I'd rather save up for my kids' future than pay for an help that wouldn't be necessary if we both took our responsibilities as adults and parents. I mean, if he offered to reduce his personal expenses to pay for an housemaid, I would probably agree, but things being the way they are, I will not push him to do it.
well - you would know your husband more.
as for me, i told my spouse time is money too. the time i am using to babysit or do some needless chores can be used to make more money so why not pay for an au pair. i am extremely social and i would not be shackled by domestic chores - so i pay my way out to go see friends or watch an opera! cheesy

That being said, figures thrown by nairalanders living in the west always surprise me, nobody I know around me has enough money to pay for a housemaid, and most of my friends/family are into full-time employment with kids, and I don't mean minimum-wage jobs.
nigerians in the west especially the woman would never see the need to hire domestic hands to help them out because they always convert any cost to naira and they always feel they can take on the task - only to complain later.

i am kitchen-lazy and time spent in the kitchen can be used for other things. why should i spend 1hr in the kitchen to make a meal for 2 people when i can easily order readymade food and use my time judiciously. i can pay as much as $1000/month for housekeeping. having worked monday till friday, saturday n sunday are the only days left for me to rest - domestic chores won't steal that little time away from me.

welbeck has more potential than theo walcott....welbeck's only problem is his composure and decision making in the opponent's penalty box. his workrate is exemplary. he pressed the liverpool defence so much the brendan rodgers tiki-taka couldn't be deployed. welbeck kept forcing reina to hit it long thus losing possession! however, fergie should have replaced him with hernandez in the 70th minute!

don't mind the sentimental hypocrites......
if my wife steps out of her boundaries and she gets beaten in my sister's house - then she deserves the beating as well. no individual has any right to go and invade another person's house and issue threats there.
Family › Re: He Beat-up His Elder Sister For His Wife by coogar: 6:48pm On Jan 15, 2013
wlex8: Two women fighting is different from when a man beats another man's wife to the extend that she was dripping blood, did he consider how the woman's husband will feel as well, no matter what she has done, what if he also loves his wife so much that he would also do anything for her, won't that result into more serious issue
see sexism in sheer display.....
so if two women fight and one draws blood out of the other then it's acceptable - but when a man does it, it's forbidden? hahahahahaha - i like the reasoning of most nigerians. its not violence when a woman beats your wife but it's savagery when a man does so.

This is a sister they both came out from the same womb and might have been of help to him one way or the other when they were growing up
exactly....
the sister should have thought of sharing the same womb with her brother before going there to make trouble. the sensible brother arrived at the scene and was trying to settle the rift but the evil sister refused to budge......there's a point where womb sharing and common sense must part company.

Even jidegirl supported that lady because they rekindled their luv. I want to ask jidegirl a question. If your husband ex rekindle old love with his ex, so, he should throw you out. I hate this family section so much, because many people here just hypocrites and they dont say the truth. Do not do to others what u wouldnt like to be done to you. How would a man beat his elder sister to the extent of dripping blood because of his wife? Smh
the single most important question is - what was the sister doing in their house? why did she come to threaten someone else's wife? what right has she got to be there? even after the husband showed up, he refused to leave when asked to and the original poster said she slapped her brother first - what does she expect in an animal kingdom country like nigeria? she deserves every platelet of blood she lost in the ordeal. next time, she would act accordingly!
Family › Re: He Beat-up His Elder Sister For His Wife by coogar:
wlex8: They all live in the same area, the husband probably didn't know it will result into that
What should the husband do to the person that beat up his wife
very funny....
this is like asking what you should do if your child gets beaten outside for misbehaving. if the wife had marital training, she wouldn't go to another woman's house to make trouble. since she refused home training, it's only fair she got trained outside her matrimony!

May be I'm a bit sentimental here, I just don't like women beaten up no matter the provocation, what if something terrible happened in the process or should the husband and the brother start their own endless fight.
one question - would you have liked it if she had been beaten up by her sister-in-law instead of her brother?

dayokanu: I dont know whatever happened oo But no one would beat my wife to the extent of dripping blood and go free

Especially a man beat my wife and drips blood? If it was another woman I might free them but another man?

Ka maari ni Paul wi.
better train your wife properly and not have her behaving like a rabid dog otherwise anyone would beat her up and you won't do nada. the woman here got beaten by her own brother and blood is thicker than water. what can you do?
Family › Re: He Beat-up His Elder Sister For His Wife by coogar:
wlex8: That's true but in this case, the wife is inside the house while the sister is outside their gate. The sister could not have beaten her up since they are not together at that point in time, the treat was not severe enough to warrant the beating up of the sister. What if her own husband was there at the time or what should he do to the brother who beat up his wife like that
her own husband must be irresponsible to have allowed his wife to go to another married woman's house to cause trouble. if this was on a neutral ground, i can understand! what right has a woman to go threaten another married woman in her home?

It's like saying "you people don't want to leave my wife alone for me, I will deal with you all today and wham!!!! beating, the sister also might have been so aggressive and she slapped first (not sure)"
there's no sentiment here.
i would not tolerate such nonsense as well - if my sister respects me, she won't come after my wife to threaten her. in a nutshell, if you threaten my wife, you have also threatened me and i would do anything within my powers to put you down. she's lucky she wasn't fed to the dogs. respect begets respect - no individual has any right to go into another person's house to threaten them.
I personally don't see much in the kid.
a cheeky bid for yann m'vila would send me tail-spinning like an overdose of heroin! i hate signing english wonderkids. he would cost money and the media would feast on him pending the time he would mature and become a consistent player. walcott and chamberlain have suffered that already. i hope we send him to cambodia on a season long loan before he starts playing for us.

wlex8: I need you guys to comment on this, how right is it for one to beat up his elder sister for his wife?

This is a true life story

His family would love to have him and his wife separated if possible and this has been going on for a while, they believe she is not a good wife.

Recently, his wife and his elder sister had exchange of words somewhere, later the same day, the sister came to their house with intention to fight with the wife over the nasty things she said about her

The wife kept the house door locked so she could not gain entrance into the house to avoid further confrontation, she later alerted her husband on the phone that his sister has come to kill her

When the husband eventually came and met his sister outside, he tried to settle their quarrel all to no avail, he also insisted the sister must not enter the house

This resulted in a fight, he finally whipped and beat up his elder sister (another man's wife) to the extent that she was dripping with blood

Question: Can you beat up your elder sister for your wife, how can this issue be resolved as every member of his family are against him including his mother, should he go and beg them or not?
he did well considering the circumstance.....
like your story revealed - he tried to settle with the sister, he told her not to enter the house but she insisted on making trouble. i think the sister deserved what she got. a man must protect his wife from any threat(foreign or local)!!!

fellis: So your mother is among those women who would take a mile if you give them an inch?
women are the same everywhere....

How often is furniture moved around in the house? Which heavy lifting are you even talking about that the wife cannot carry out with the help of her children and how often do electrical units need installations? You mean to say that your work in the house are the type of work that only come up once a month or once in a couple of years abi? While your wife's house work are an everyday affair.
How nice.
that's how it works.....
these out-of-the-blues task occur very often and it's not really advisable for women to lift heavy objects before she slips her disc. the heavy stuff would be taken care of by me.

Before you married and while you were still washing your clothes by yourself you were not a afemale, you were male. And doing those things did not turn you into a female.
i take my clothes to the dry cleaner every month. where is the time to be washing/drying and ironing clothes?

Your ideas on what 'positions' everybody should play are not binding on the whole of humanity and they are not written anywhere as laws that must be followed. If you like living that way, fine. It doesn't mean that those are the positions people should play.
have i called your husband to force my opinion on him? if another couple wants to reverse the roles i have stated, it's entirely their prerogative. i have just given my sound opinion and it works a treat with the couples i am close to.

If your wife's car breaks down then she can call a mechanic. You don't have to leave your work to drive 30 miles. That is just ridiculous.
call a mechanic? and the mechanic would give her a car to drive home as well? oh - wait, my wife should stay by the roadside and wait until the mechanic finishes? you are the smartest decision maker nigeria has ever produced yet.

fellis: Do you have a mother?
what has having a mother or not having gotta do with this? women are the same everywhere unless of course you are one dark-skinned hermaphrodite!

Wow......
So what are these physically tasking chores you speak of?
moving furnitures, heavy lifting, installation of electrical units, etc. sciences like cooking, washing, cleaning are feminine chores. everyone should play his/her position. if my wife's car breaks down 30 miles away, my duty is to drive down there and give her my own car to continue her journey while i sort her vehicle out - just like i expect to meet a steamy bowl of jollof rice after work every evening.

i would try as much as possible to avoid anything that would bring me in contact with this witch of a woman. my children would grow up one day and become independent. then i would explain my absence to them. the woman wants the game to persist and the man is refusing to do the dance of shame with her. that's common sense - to hell with the woman and her demonic antics.
