On that note, you speak about credibility, you and I can agree that NL is gradually deteriorating and mods can't salvage it when they inadvertently encourage it. This bigotry boat, almost all politics poster is in same boat including myself - tolerance is the key to build credibility of this site. I was not like this when I joined few years back, but this site has thought or perhaps, brought out the worse in me.

afam4eva: I'm really not in support of what Seun did. That's why i want to know the rationale behind his action. Is it that the "Hall of shame" idea in itself is bad? Or that it's wrong for Achebe to be inducted. If the latter is the case then we have to know the kind of people that can be inducted. Is it politicians, terrorists etc.

That's why i proposed a nairaland reputation system whereby certain people will be allowed to vote. You can't get the best votes from tribalists even in a democratic setting.

Jarus: I wasnt aware of this thread until my friend that works in GTB, who knows I'm a Nairaland official, called me now.

He confirmed that the guy who posted his scanned teller actually paid the money into the account. He said teh screenshot had been manipulated, that the guy just scrolled down. He checked the account and confirmed seeing it.

He challenge both of them to go to any GTB and confirm.
The money actually truly entered that account.

Except in Politics where Jarus stood his grounds, most sections waived it - in Nairaland/General, mynd_44 and Callotti have been banned severally, yet they participated fully and Mynd won and was declared winner.
In Programming, Javanian won, she was banned during the year. In Jokes, same thing. So, use your power as MOD here and declare madam Debrief winner.
