ronkebp: I will also say crime, here in the States is worse than that of Nigeria.
drug barons, pickpockets too, fraudulent activities (in the banks), day light robbery (robbers always hold the banks-up), gangster-ism, every child has a gun, rapists, mad people walking around everywhere, the 419-ers here are much more vast and experienced than Naija yahoo-yahoo boys.
crime in the states is not 1/3rd of what happens in nigeria. this ignorance must stop.
it's just that nearly every incident makes it to the 9pm news in the states whilst the ones in naija are
swept under the carpet. the crimes reported in naija are 1/1000th of what really goes on.

the same naija where pickpockets are maimed on the streets on a daily basis, cars crush pedestrians
like no man's business. the same nigeria where tobacco/alcohol can be sold to a 7-month old baby
if the baby can find its way to any mallam shop. abeg - nigeria is worse than any where i have been
to. it's a hell-hole.

Chinom: let it be known to you that we have laws in Nigeria. And the laws are enforced. The difference with the west lies in the mentality of our people, our culture. People in Russia enjoy the same freedom we enjoy in Nigeria. and Russia is by no means an underdeveloped country. They are right there with USA and surpass many European countries. But the mentality and culture of the people are what makes the difference.
When it comes to crime, Newyork and London are much more worse than Lagos.Considering all the dumb idiots in America who carry guns and are even allowed to carry it by law, i feel much more safer in Nigeria. Besides there are many more quiet places one can relocate to outside Lagos.
In Nigeria kids don't stab other kids to death. No 17yr old takes a gun to school and use it kill so many fellow students. So, Moremi, i wish you luck wherever you may be in the west. All i need in Naija now is constant power supply. I have never experienced any crime in Naija personally. The choice is yours.
it baffles me people still reason like this in 2012.
crimes in london/newyork are much worse than lagos? for heaven's sake, do you live in a cave?
you mean crimes like money rituals, daylight robbery in the traffic, pickpockets, etc are much
worse than london?

I am just saying this cause you will be so pissed off after staying with them all this time and to later find out they wouldnt treat you like an expat when they transfer you to Nigeria.

I hope he comes back and gets back to form like a house on fire, but if he doesn't I won't get on his back as some have done to Rambo this season.
treat each case individually.
why many players never got back to their form after spending years out, some others don't
seem to be affected. ben arfa for example broke his leg and he's playing like he was never out.
ruud van nistelrooy was one year out and won the pfa player of the year in england a season later.

wilshere might come back better than he used to be or come back worse. time will tell.

rakumiii: Nice idea trying to go with ExxonMobil in the US but remember if you are an American citizen with Nigerian parents, ExxonMobil will treat you like a Nigerian when or if they want to move you back to Nigeria. Meaning they would not move you back as an expatriate. No free house in Ikoyi, no driver, no car etc.........and to make matters worse, they would pay you based on Nigerian rate. I know this about ExxonMobil cause I have a friend who worked for them for 5yrs and when she proposed moving back to Nigeria thats what they told her. I am not sure about the other Oil Companies in Nigeria but I believe they do that as well.

The best thing to do is to work for an Oil Servicing company in the US like Flour, WorleyParsons, Schlumberger, Technip etc and try to get transfered to Nigeria. They would give you all the benefits that is entitled to an expatriate. cheesy cheesy
this is not true - if you are an american citizen without a nigerian passport, you would be treated as an expatriate!

Gaggi: What does it matter if i am called a nigg** by a black man. D problem with u guys abroad is u've lost touch with reality. U people have been so abused u think it's normal to be called derogatory names. A white man will not call anyone names in Lagos, Kano, Warri or any state at all. You can't come to my country and disrespect me. By the way hw many so called white men go around with security?
you sir are a social reprobate!
a black man calls you a nigga(you hi-5 him), a white man calls you the same word(you get angry!)
isn't that racism on it's own? why is a black man free to use a certain word and his white counterpart cannot use the same word?
it's either you abhor the word completely regardless of who uses it or embrace the word regardless of who uses it.
being selective of who calls you what in itself is racism - a fact that eludes you.

I swear i will slap any white man who dares that, security or not.

dayokanu: Di matteo has won the FA cup same thing Mancini has won in 2yrs and more than Wenger has achieved in 6yrs

Avram Grant was given the job in October bought players e.g Anelka in january and ended trophyless

Di matteo was given the job in March didnt buy a single player and he has won the FA cup, with a 50% chance of winning the CL

So try harder
you're a serial w@nker. di matteo has won which fa cup?
if villas-boas didn't win the games in the earlier rounds, would di matteo even
have fa cup games to play? if villas-boas didn't qualify from his champions league group,
would di matteo be playing in the european final?

how did you graduate from college? are you deliberately obtuse or
you are just being an odious Arrow that you tend to be at this time of the year?
di matteo has won the fa cup as if he started it himself and ended it.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 2:13pm On May 09, 2012
StarBoard: Ridiculous. So it has descended to this. You're clutching at dry straws, just to make United do good.
The Shield in my estimation isn't a trophy.
So beating City doesn't count in that game. It's not a competition, just a traditional season curtain-raiser.
If at the end of the season,City beat us home and away, that singular victory paled into insignificant.
in other countries, it's called the supercup.
winner of the league vs winner of the fa cup.
go to spain, italy, france, portugal and germany and see what the equivalent is called.

But it didn't happen that way, so no need to flip anything.
Deal with what happened instead of spinning old grandmother yarns.
Human perception now means nothing to you?
You need help.
it's called human perception. same result but different thoughts to it.
a team goes 2 goals up and they get pulled back to 2-2 and that team has no bottle.
if the same team go 2 goals down and they buckle up and score 2 goals to equalise, then
they are heroes at 2-2. city were the moral victors in that fa cup tie despite crashing out
of the competition at home against united. it's called human perception.

You hang too much with nateevs. So by inference, you're blowing hot air in a room full of empty people.
You still don't get it.
If you had enough ammo, you wouldn't be asking QPR to help out on the final day of the season when United had 8 point advantage with 8 games to go.
City have scored more and kept a better defensive effort and that tells me they have something we don't have to edge us out.
Even if 52 points won it last season,
(a) we won it, bottom line.
(b) it tells you the league this year is crap.I mean, Chelsea who came sceond last season had a rubbish season but got to the CL finals
The gap between 2nd and third is like La Liga every season.
you are spewing bollocks.
who is asking qpr to help us out on the final day? qpr can do whatever they want. they would lose, city would win.
united would win. final points: 89 apiece. that does not make city top dogs!

Again, the nateevs influence.
I mentioned Barcelona's dominance of La Liga to highlight the purple patch in terms of their success.Tell me another side that has been this successful in the modern era (i.e. within a 3-year span)so that we can forgive them for not winning this season's league title.
Even if I were to fall for your spin, within the 6 seasons you are touting, how many other trophies did United win for a comparison to be warranted?
1 CL, 1 Carling Cup (and 4 community Shield title-since you have adopted the Arsenal mentality that the Emirates cup is a trophy)
so barcelona can be forgiven for not winning their league but united(who by the way have won more league titles in the last 6 seasons
than barcelona) should not be forgiven? what has barcelona's european campaign gotta do with their league form. leave european games
for european games. leave league games for league games. barcelona have won 3 league titles in 6 seasons, united have won 4 league
titles in 6 seasons. how do you then forgive barcelona and send united to the firing squad? confused much?

Stop this CL finals mantra jare.
You are much better than that. If we were so super, why did we only manage one win out of three finals appearances, whereas Barcelona have a 100% finals win record (beating us twice).
Punching above our "weight" is just baloney.Must you use the "financial restrictions" alibi as an excuse every time?
What has financial restriction have to do with pissing away 8-points in April?
we got to the final twice(back to back). name me another team that has done that in the last 10 seasons, and you would
be struggling. your barcelona(with all their supposed dominance) couldn't manage it. what is a big club without finance?
don't be so deluded to think money does not play a part in city's improvement. they have a deep squad, they have managed
to sign technical and brilliant players. there's absolutely no excuse for a team that has spent £500m not to win a league title.
even with all that money, they have not been able to shake united off. a united hamstrung by obscene amount of injuries.

Rubbish talk.
City had WORSE problems than ours:dressing room turmoil, on and off the pitch bust-ups and Mario Ballotelli's genreal craziness.
So stop taking the victim route.
All that talk about City having United's problem is straight from the uneducated and uninformed folks who gather round the suya-spot, jare.
i would rather have city's problems than ours. mario balotelli's tantrums is nothing compared to playing midfielders in the
defence unless the decimal in your intelligence quotient is running miles towards the left hand side. there are better replacements
for balotelli. aguero, tevez, dzeko. who can replace vidic in the whole of england?

As for our signings, I laugh in Mandarin
Ashley Young did nothing aside from score against hapless sides with the same kind of goal.
Phil Jones cannot even deliver a decent cross inside the box in a crucial game.
David De Gea fears corner kicks, but let me not go there-the language and his age are a factor for some.
de gea is the best goalkeeper in the top six. i am glad he's been able to shut you up with his ability.
ashley young(God bless him) - 6 goals + 11 assists in an injury-blighted season is the epitome of brilliance.

Like the same Fergie didn't know he had a thread bare middle to start the season with.
Like Injuries don't happen. You tout Barcelona not winning the League or the CL, do you remember that folks like Abidal and Villa have been out for long portions of the season?
2 players in barcelona compared to 9 players in united tells me this season has taken a negative toll
on your selective amnesia. abidal n villa.

The last time I checked, United went 8 points clear without the same Vidic. So what exactly is your point about Vidic's absence? He could have been present and things would have been this way for all the water vapour you are spewing in here for all we know.
As for the others, please spare me.
united didn't open enough gap. 8 points? not enough with city's goal difference.
we needed about 10 to be comfortable especially when we were still playing the
main challenger away from home.

You used to come across as intelligent but telling me Anderson and Cleverley were going to be factors in the league this season on the strength of the Community Shield must rank as a daft statement.Given Anderson's erratic form and injury history, and Cleverley's general state of being untested and untrusted, only a perennial dullard would arrive at such a conclusion.
and you would be that perennial dullard to be so cynical. given the injury history of rooney
and van persie, how come none of the duo has been injured throughout the season? you even pushed the
borders of daftness by saying the combination of anderson/cleverley only shone in the shield. with them playing together,
united beat city(shield), west brom, arsenal, bolton and tottenham by huge margin of goals to goals against.

And Darren Fletcher was never the man for us after 2008/9 andthe early part of 2009/10.
So he was never going to be a factor as well.
if we had a fit fletcher, we wouldn't have given up a 2-goal league against everton.
it's as simple as that.

The emboldened does not tally with the same FErgie who once declared that City would never be top-dogs in Manchester on his watch.
The above does not tally with Fergie's disposition to City prior to the game last week
a swallow does not make a summer.
city winning it by goals difference does not make them top dogs.
you don't win the premier league once and claim to be top dogs. mourinho won it twice back to back for
chelsea and they are no top dogs. city have to win the league 20 times to be top dogs.
you can dye your red shirt into light blue before the start of next season cos you have been waxing lyrical over
city city city. i am sure you have mancini's pic in your bedroom.
