there r videos of silvestre making great tackles or gibson makin great tackles n 40yard passes, that doesnt make them xperts at dt skill.for every video u post of hernandez wit a gud 1st touch there 50 videos of his horrendous first touch killing a united move! when a move involves hernandez at d beginning or somewhere in d middle rather than at d end IT DIES.
the area of the pitch hernandez is expected to make these touches have the most pressure coming from the opponents. you actually need a lot of nerves to be in that part of the pitch and apply the finishing. silvestre or gibson making tackles cannot be compared to making a first touch and scoring! it's quite difficult to execute.

there were many coaches in france who said drogba lacked d technique, finishing n stamina to make it in top flight football.at age TWENTY FOUR after 4 seasons in d french DIVISION 2 he had scored TWELVE GOALS(IN 4 YEARS),he finally lost his place to daniel cousin(remember him) who they said was faster n hd beta technique.
in other words, welbeck is not suited to man utd.
i don't doubt he can score 60 goals per season in arsenal - but @ united, he needs to step up right now in the absence of the top players.

welbeck does not pick himself for these matches, fergie does, all welbeck does is train hard n wait for team list to arrive so get off his back n jump on fergie's.i am not saying danny shud b starting so many matches but his performances hav bin beta than all of chelsea's strikers, most of arsenal's n most of d rest of d leagues(bar mayb mancity n tott forwards).
i just feel we should get behind our strikers, they arent doin too badly d problem is in midfield and wit evra's recurrent lapses n of course at d goal keeper position
with a bit of panache and predatory skills, united should have scored 2 or 3 goals before evra made the mistake of allowing kuyt to get a late winner.
that is the key issue. in the absence of rooney, nani, young, etc welbeck should increase his conversion rate. he fluffed 6 good chances against arsenal before scoring. on another night, united would have dropped 2 points or even all the points because of his profligacy.

Now your prayer has been answered Torres no longer starts from the bench, He plays most games and in the last few outings against recently promoted Norwich, QPR and Swansea and still he fires blank
where was mata played in these games? behind torres?
if the answer is no - please don't bother.

Demba Ba has scored 2 penalties only So that means he has scored 13 pure goals While Torres has scored 3 in the same time frame.
demba ba: 1453 mins, 15 goals, 1 assist, 8 key passes
nando torres: 1017 mins, 2 goals, 2 assists, 13 key passes.

anyone looking at that statistics alone knows torres is not an arrowhead for chelsea.
he has the same stats of a central midfielder.

Michael Owen gets into scoring positions and doesnt miss from inside the box. Torres cant seem to hit water even if thrown from a boat
michael owen got fed with quality balls to help him score.

He needs mata behind him to perform? Someone that has Mata time 1000 behind him in Spain. in person of Fabregas, iniesta, Xavi and Busquets yet still couldnt score to save his life.
quick passing, mr dayokanu.
spain don't play direct football and they are 5 times slower than chelsea.

It was because lampard was playing, lampard is out Now whats the next excuse? If lampard had played the last 3 games against newly promoted sides, I am sure all the blame would have been on lampard, Now he didnt play and Torres could barely get a shot on target.
i know you have the propensity to be daft but you are stretching the borders this evening.
lampard playing or not playing is not necessarily the key. when lampard does not play, who fills the role of lampard? is it mata or the other mechanical players?

You were the one on this forum who told us Lampard is the reason why Torres isnt scoring.
of course, lampard occupies the same role gerrard played when torres was in liverpool.
if lampard does not play and an intelligent and elusive player(mata) plays there, torres would flourish.
but as it is, in the absence of lampard, names like ramirez, meirelez, malouda and other robots pop up behind torres.
can those ones play any intelligent pass to set a striker through on goal?

In 2010/2011 season He played half for Liverpool and half for Chelsea scored 10 goals in the whole season
In 2011/2012 with 3/4 of the season gone he has an incredible 3 goals.
injury ravaged season of 2010/11?
the season before that, torres scored 18 goals + 3 assists in 22 appearances for liverpool.

why hasn't chelsea copied that blueprint that made torres a force in liverpool?
are you this daft to see the crux of this issue?

This is why I do not get into these arguments.
Things start to fly about the place and tons of stuff you never said start to circulate and you spend ages trying to correct or defend them.

I will say this once and for all.

Firstly,
I never said Lampard was preventing the balls from getting in the box.
I said Lamps is one of the reasons. I said I'd rather a midfield with someone with guile and trickery who has an eye for quality pass, chooses to take as their primary responsibility and concentrate less on getting into the box. This midfielder, we currently do not have. For that reason, the absence of Lampard will/should not create a massive difference. So that assertion is wrong.
mata fits that bill as far as i am concerned but he has not been deployed appropriately.

giggs, scholes, ozil, nasri, van der vaart, david silva, modric, etc earn their stripes in that art. . . .

I think a lot of ladies on here are confusing legitimate concerns about gold diggers and about fundamental flaws in the socioeconomic contract we call marriage, with stinginess. I am not a stingy man. There is no girl that I have dated and dumped that can say she didn't have a great time with me. I spend a LOT of money on pretty girls; in fact, I enjoy it cuz the more you spend, the better the sex is!  grin grin grin grin

However, there is a big difference between spending a few thousand dollars on trips, gifts and fine dining and giving a woman access to all your bank accounts, assets and future income. It is this difference that makes marriage so problematic for successful guys that live in the West. Why would a woman that hasn't worked for my money become entitled to everything I and my family have worked hard for? What is the other end of the bargain? Companionship and babies? I can get all that without signing on the dotted line!  grin grin grin Nobody is really giving me compelling reasons for marriage. when chicharito made his debut for united he was ALREADY 22,had played 4 seasons of senior football at chivas and played in d world cup
welbeck just turned 21(he still is ONE YEAR younger NOW than chicharito was at his debut) and has limited big game experience so pls you people should give him a chance!
you know i don't like it when people bring age into this kinda debate.
it's either a player has it or not. even if welbeck turns 30, his finishing might never improve. the skills he's learnt in his formative years are the ones that he would use every now and then.

i am sure when valencia was 18, someone in ecuador was arguing on his behalf that he's young and he would learn how to use his left foot by 20.
he's 26 now and his left foot is as useless as the right hand of rembrandt. grin
do you really think that is going to ever change any time soon?

my belief is they are still both young, talented, very hungry, eager to learn, with great attitudes SO i hope d club keeps both cos they could rily b great in d future.
however singling out one striker especially ur youngest isnt d way to go, they both hav positives n negatives n i pray d negatives get erased off as time passes.
welbeck is being singled out cos he's copped more minutes in the important games recently and he mostly fluffed his lines.
we could have drawn against arsenal and we lost @ anfield because of welbeck's profligacy in front of goal.

berbatov makes it difficult for fergie to choose him regularly with his languid style, dt style doesnt work well when ur midfield is carrick, scholes or carrick giggs.
u cant hav too many luxury players hovering round dt midfield cos it xposes us at d back.wit sickbay ferdi n sojourner evra at d back we nid guys to run  n close up ryt from d front.berbatov is a very talented player but not all talents can play at one's club ,i would like him to go exhibit his sublime talents elsewhere, keep rooney, welbeck, chicharito n get a younger, skillful bt more athletic player to replace berbatov
i hope you know berbatov has scored 7 league goals in 10 league appearances this season. he's started only 4 league games.
that's a prolific strike rate by any means. he scored 20 league goals last season.
the issue of berbatov's languid style has been put to bed. if he gets the quality service he craves, he puts them away.

afrodoc:
coogar there is no such thing as a perfect striker and even if there was his name wouldnt be javier hernandez! his finishing is topnotch, his runs r great and he has great anticipation also BUT he sometimes has d 1st touch of a female elephant in labour, body strength of a lily and as to d passes HE is d one who almost always overhits or underhits his passes! once a move gets to hernandez before he is in d box n its not a one on one wit d keeper e.g back to defender or out on d wings or tightly marked i know dt move will fizzle out.
they both nid extramural classes n berba nids to go n b sublime elsewhere
the first touch of a female elephant? tell me a striker with a better first touch apart from berbatov in man utd?
have you seen rooney with the ball? owen? macheda? welbeck? are those any better than hernandez.

only few strikers in this league have the tekkers to completely kill a difficult pass and make it easy.
i can think of van persie, nani, berbatov, etc. the others are wackity wack when the passes are damned too heavy.

but when the passes are accurate and put in hernandez's stride. . . . he controls beautifully.

This was the same person who argued that playing Drogba was what stopped Torres from getting into his stride and even quoted Ancelotti that Drogba needed to be sold for Torres to flourish. Now Drogba is out of the picture, If you forget we dont forget,
yes, drogba in the sense that torres is often left on the bench when drogba is fit. i then said chelsea should sell drogba. . . . .play torres as the arrowhead and play mata behind torres. drogba is out of the picture but torres is still being played without a good supporting cast behind him. an intelligent player who can find a pass quicker ought to be played behind torres. . . . .lampard, ramirez, meirelez and other quacks are not good enough.

How many times was Demba ba put through to score 15 goals in half a season. If Demba Ba who wasnt even considered first choice striker fought his way into prominence now A failed striker is telling a team to revamp to accomodate him?
at least 8 of those 15 league goals were scored from the penalty spot and direct freekicks. if torres was given the task to bury from the spot, i am sure he would be in double digits by now. besides, demba ba is a physical striker. whether he gets the ball in front of the defence or he beats an offside trap is immaterial to him. he's almost a young drogba.

torres is not that sort of striker, i am afraid. fernando torres is like a taller michael owen.

Well Torres personally said the lack of Spanish speakers and noise level disturbs him.
which is why he needs mata behind him. . . like gerrard was behind torres.
the quicker gerrard and alonso supplied torres, the more goals he scored under benitez.
whereas in chelsea, no traditional wingers. . . . .chelsea rarely put crosses in. bosingwa has lost his ability to cross and ashley cole is just ashley cole these days. he's only arsed once in a month to put good performance.

It was because lampard was playing, lampard is out Now whats the next excuse? If lampard had played the last 3 games against newly promoted sides, I am sure all the blame would have been on lampard, Now he didnt play and Torres could barely get a shot on target.

Ok We are making progress gradually, Its no longer Drogba, no longer Lampard, No longer the language, nor the noise level of London not even Spiritual cos David luiz delivered Torres yesterday Now its the coach who isnt a big fan of Torres
Hmm the plot thickens
argue like a man functioning on brain fluids not the one whose brain is powered by diesel. grin
what has no longer drogba, no longer lampard got to do with this? we are saying torres should get the ball quicker, you are telling us no lampard no drogba.
do you shyte from your mouth?

Thats why 60% of those on redcafe are not coaches, Torres was firing blanks for Chelsea, Firing blanks for Spain two teams who play 2 distinct styles
--he did not fire blanks for liverpool.
--chelsea bought him because of his goal scoring prowess in liverpool.
--chelsea bought torres because he's scored more goals against chelsea than any other striker in the league.
--common sense then dictates chelsea should use him in the same way liverpool used him when torres scored good number of goals.

if that logic still evades you, i suggest you add some cyanide to your eba this evening and die quietly. grin

@starboard hernandez and welbeck are not abt d same age like u said.d mexican is TWO N A HALF years older than welbeck so u shouldnt tink their development will b at d same stage plus chicharito is a regular international n hs played n scored in d world cup so i believe i am ryt to say he is OLDER n more EXPERIENCED.
go n check d development of van nistelrooy, thierry henry n several other players dt went on score goals by d bucketloads n u will see dt many were not prolific at 21 and even some of them hadnt showed signs of how good they were going to be.this is not a referendum on weda welbeck is beta than hernandez BUT wt i am saying is for his age, xperience he is not doing too badly and such negative criticism from fans is not helping anyone.
and d point dt chicharito is an excellent poacher so dts enuf is dangerous advice for d young boy, poachers r a dying breed cos football is evolving, its not enuf for a guy to hide for 80 minutes n then just tap in a brace.strikers hav to b hardworkers who get involved in build up weda tru d wings, tru d middle or wit their back to goal.
if chicharito doesnt build up his physique, technique n general team play not only will he b shipped out of united he myt not achieve his potential.
welbeck on d other hand while still raw has beta technique n team play than d mexican.
talking abt welbecks finishing, despite andy coles impressive goal scoring he was never described as a clinical finisher.welbeck will get stronger, more intelligent n become a beta finisher at old trafford BUT i agree ferguson should not b playing too often for now
chicharito is a perfect striker. . . .
some of the passes he gets are either too overhit or underhit. when the ball is delivered straight to his feet, his control is not that bad.
he knows how to position himself to score goals and when he's one on one with a goalkeeper, he would finish aplomb 9 times out of 10.

danny welbeck needs extramural classes.

Nigerians are really pathetic with the way they revere beautiful actors like Regina Askia and Van vicker who have little acting prowess just because they are fine. What is the obsession with actors who act American or have good command of english. This is Nigeria and nollywood is a mirror through which Nigeria is seen and you can't tell me that typical Nigerians speak impeccable english. We have millions of the so called mgbekes in the Nigerian society so why is it a problem if someone speaks english in an mgbeke or motor park accent? Do you see bollywood actors trying to act american? Why must we always be the ones to copy everything.
this kind of reasoning is pitiful and lethargic.

so actors/actresses shouldn't have a good command of english because they are nigerians? what's the official language in nigeria?
no problem, the next time you are applying for a job in nigeria - write your application in pidgin english. you are nigerian, your employers would understand.
that nigeria have millions of mgbekes in the society is not the point - the mgbekes are not the target audience of the movie producers/directors. the target audience is global.

I have no problem with the producers of these movies picking whoever they like for their movie because afterall it's a holywood(british) movie and not a Nigerian movie. But don't tell me that these american actors are better than the ones we have here in Nigeria. we have great actors that if given the same opportunity that people like thandie newton are given will do a better job.
they are way better. stop kidding yourself if you think ramsey nouah is better than don cheadle or ini edo is better than nia long.
how many of these nollywood stars actually studied arts/drama in school? these are home-trained opportunists who got into the movie industry through the backdoor or an uncle with connections. most of them know f@ck all about acting. if you are used to mediocrity because of your foolish patriotism, some of us aren't. when i pay 100 naira to buy a nollywood movie - i expect to get my money's worth. unfortunately, i get 10%.

It's also annoying that some people said that don cheadle did well in hotel rwanda despite the fact that he is not rwandan. In as much as  i beleive that he tried his best but go and ask a true rwandan and they'll tell you that his his accent was not really rwandan. It's only if you're rwandan that you'll see the relatively terrible job that he did. The same way the "yoruba language" that was spoken in Monique's "phat girls" sounded very strange to me. But since it's an these are american movis, the audience won't know the differenece between a Nigerian and a Ghanian accent. I remember a hollywood movie where a supposed Yoruba buy was speaking Igbo as his language. Hollywood sef no dey try sometimes.
don cheadle did very well. . . .who cares whether he spoke english in rwandan accent?
the most important thing was how he carried himself, how ebullient he got, his dedication and how passionate he took the role he played.
you think the way nigerian actors shout like there's an air horn in their throats is quality?
i think you need to get out more and break yourself from the shackles of mediocrity and your firewood background.

I have tried very hard to avoid the Torres argument because I cannot engage in false analysis.
However I will give my take on the whole issue. Trying not to get into any long arguments over who is right and who isn't.
If you saw the game yesterday, you will definitely conclude that Torres was a complete wrong buy for Chelsea.
Not because he cannot score but because we don't play to his strengths.

Like I have said constantly, Torres is not a striker who relies on physique and strength to score goals.
Torres relies on space and feeds from midfield. Torres relies on vertical passes.
We are currently not doing that at Chelsea. Last night, Torres did not receive a single pass to free him on goal.
We kept moving the ball to over lapping FBs whose crosses never beat the first man.

There's no way he's going to score.
Below is a heat map of the passes we made. Look at the concentration of passes. We barely got to the byline.
We hardly put passes into the box to free our striker. It's just a concentration of useless passes back and forth around midfield.
Few passes to the byline, few passes into the box, you will not win a game and unless your Strikers fire screamers from 30-yards, they won't score.
this issue has been over-flogged and yet charlatans like dayokanu, ibime and bluediva still won't get it.

dayokanu thinks the absence of drogba would suddenly make torres score goals? how daft can someone be to think that way.
like i have been saying for more than a month - if the chelsea coaching crew would not play to torres' strength, he's a waste of space in chelsea.
if i purchase a player worth £50m, common sense dictates i build the entire team around my marquee signing, but that isn't the case in chelsea.

torres is being treated like man utd would deploy michael owen in the team.
the only player capable of providing the through-ball is being shifted wide with mechanical players who are as slow as slugs deployed behind torres.
how's he going to score when chelsea rarely get on the by-line to deliver crosses? how's he going to score when torres has only been put through on goal just 5 times since he joined chelsea?

from the chalkboard you showed there, there's no way a striker who plays on the shoulder of the last defender would flourish.
chelsea's pace is slower than the revolution of the earth. i cannot imagine hernandez playing for chelsea, he would have been considered a flop cos it takes 5 minutes for lampard to spot a striker running through on goal.
i am sure villas-boas knows what the problem is but probably he's not a fan of torres. . . . .he wants roman abramovic to cut losses on fernando torres.

i don't have a coaching badge but i can turn torres to the most prolific striker in the league if i manage chelsea for the rest of the season.
there was an opinion poll on redcafe 2 weeks ago. a staggering 60% said they would swap torres for rooney without any hesitation.
astute observers who know how dangerous torres can be know he's being left out of the loop in chelsea.
the system chelsea play and the misuse of the supporting cast is the reason torres is misfiring in chelsea.

Saha has like one league goal since the birth of Christ and is the main reason Leighton Baines has just one assist this season, it's sad to hear an Arsenal fan describing him as a "top, top player" simply because he signed for a rival. If Saha had signed for Arsenal, the same ninjas woulda been hurling shurikens at Wenger.
saha is a top player and he can ease van persie's burden and the drop in quality would be minimal. . .in comparison to chamakh or when you guys still had bendtner. saha is french too and i don't know how wenger missed such a deal like that knowing how good he used to be with french players.
maybe le professor is now blind.

Well they've been a lot luckier with injuries. . . Compare how many minutes their key players have copped to Arsenal's and it says a lot. That's not to excuse the shyte storm Arsenal are in or take anything away from Spurs but it's true.
they have had injuries too. lennon has been in and out. van der vaart is a permanent crock same as ledley king, dawson, gallas, etc.
what you don't realise is tottenham actually have the strength in depth that mocks everything wenger has assembled in the last 5 years.
the only area they are a bit light is the attack department and they have quickly brought saha in to rectify that. saha would not play many games but whenever adebayor gets suspended or down with flu, saha would come in and do what's required.

As for holding on to their top players, no one was really interested in them except Modric who still had a long contract. If he had a year left like Nasri they wouldn't have been able to keep him. Having said that the Cesc transfer fee/saga was a disgrace.
chelsea offered £40m for modric last summer. that's a very tidy sum to rup up what he had on his contract and drive him to the bridge.
tottenham hold on to their top players more than any team in england and when they decide to sell, daniel levy(the street smart chartered accountant) takes no prisoners. he's the shrewdest club chairman in london.

The social insitution of marriage is dramatically different from what it used to be and cultural expectations are also vastly different.
that is a big lie from the pits of hell.
there are good women out there albeit few who would even do more than their grandparents as far as marriage is concerned.

You will be a fool if some woman carts off with all the fruits of your hard-earned labor. Even your family members will look at you with pity and warn their children not to be like you. Yes, I have seen it happen many, MANY, times.
there's what we call prenuptial agreement if you don't trust your partner wholeheartedly.
even if you feel entering such contract cheapens your spouse, go to nigeria and marry. the law of the country where the marriage certificate is issued would be followed - regardless of where the divorce took place. do wives get 50% in nigeria should she file for a divorce? i don't think so.

Second, women are now empowered and free. While this is a wonderful development for everybody, what it means in practical terms is that you might put 110% into your relationship but it won't make the woman stay because she is independent and can just up and out anyhow she likes. To the woman, you're just a living and breathing call option; she'll exercise that option only if your worth rises to meet her strike price. Otherwise, she is out. Today's marriage vows are for better and for better; these days "for worse" is confessing negative. Now, I am not advocating that women stay in unhappy marriages but the problem is that the woman can leave for WHATEVER reason she likes. She doesn't even have to give a convincing reason beyond the vague excuse of "irreconcilable differences." Her definition of "difference" could very well be, "I have found someone richer"
this is why you should know who you are marrying.
i am not ignorant of these facts - trust me, i know a great deal about women independence, women empowerment and the other indices but there are women out there ready to stick it through thick and thin. that you are yet to find one does not mean they don't exist.

Your garden analogy is really cute but cuteness if for little children. Have you ever heard of infertile grounds? Or plants that are especially susceptible to disease? You might garden as much as you want and still fail miserably. That mistake will cost you half a million dollars minimum, please. And while you're making payments, please keep your hands away from any fruits and flowers because she has got custody! Now, fcking roger that!  grin
except that there are fertilizers to cure infertility and there are pesticides to cure infections of plant.
a fact known very well to good garderners. cool

Successful young men in the West have EVERY incentive to wait and tread super-cautiously. Otherwise, they had better pony-up for a good lawyer and an iron-clad pre-nup. In the meanwhile, they can play in the garden of delight, sampling different flowers and squirrelling away assets in off-shore accounts where the future Mrs. can't touch it. At least, that's my plan.  grin grin grin grin grin grin

Oya! Kill me!  grin
i won't even discourage you from carrying your plan through. . . . you actually have a point.
however, some men are still out there who are catching the very last breed of the ideal women left on the planet.
seek and you shall find. . . . . . .you might end up meeting 50 before you find that special one but keep trying and your valiant efforts shall be rewarded.

I still rock Windows Mobile, and frankly it makes IOS, Android and even Windows Phone 7 feel like toys. WinMo is a real OS. It's like having a pc in the palm of your hands. That why it's called PowerPC or PPC for short. Can your Iphone or Android connect to your digital camera and download pictures straight from it? All I did was install usb drivers just like you'd on a regular pc and gbam! Sure the interface is not as polished and geewhiz to fool users into forgetting what they're missing but Winmo is more advanced. Oh, and you're not constantly required to be chained to the internet mothership, sometimes called the cloud, with your personal information always being stored on god-knows-where.
why do i need a digital camera when i have an apple phone that comes equipped with 8 megapixels.
it even allows me to do red-eye effect on pictures with blazing eye-balls.
the interface you talked about is not needed. my iphone is a digital camera on it's own. . . .

Una dey mind Debo?

He just feels obligated to talk up Welbeck persistently on these pages after categorically stating he's "miles ahead of Sturridge" grin grin
welbeck is better than sturridge.
daniel sturridge is the most selfish striker on the planet. . . . .it must be acute pain for his team-mates with the way he motors on the flank and just power his shots on target - regardless of the acute angles. he is either brainless or too self-centred. he probably thinks he needs to score goals to guarantee a first team shirt. at this moment in time, welbeck would get on the plane to ukraine in the summer before daniel sturridge.

Rubbish. . . since his injury, Chelsea defending has improved two-fold. . . We've kept 4 clean sheets in the last 6 matches. . . Mikel has only played in 2 games where we kept clean sheet this season (Blackburn and Stoke) whilst Romeu has played in 10 (Valencia, Genk, Newcastle, Wolves, Norwich, Sunderland, Portsmouth (FA), Fulham (LC), QPR (last week) and Leverkusen). . . .  when was the last time Chelsea conceded more than one goal. . . or do you like dragging opinions out ya arse?
you're a disgrace if you compare games against genk, norwich, wolves, sunderland, portsmouth and qpr to the ones mikel played(arsenal, man utd, tottenham, liverpool and man city).

Mikel who has been an abject failure at Chelsea for 6 seasons suddenly turned to the reason we are not rolling over teams? Wake up nigga!
so mikel has been a failure @ chelsea for 6 seasons?
you have lost your ability to reason rationally. . . . . .it's they have removed the fuse in your brain circuitry.

This is the kind of mindset that lead you right onto the sharp teeth of piranhas you are trying to avoid. I don't know any woman with a good head on her shoulders who would not avoid men with warped thinking like the above. The things I read on NL na wa lipsrsealed
to be fair to davidylan, more often than not, men tend to find the gold-digging women than the ones who tend to contribute in building a home with their husbands. you and i know there are women like that out there. it's the generalization that should be reduced cos there are few good women. it's just that they can be hard to find.

Possession is not our problem currently, certainly not slow possession. Chelsea are 2nd in the table on possession stats. The problem is what it has been for the last few seasons. . . speedy transition on the wings. . . Anelka was one of the few that could provide a remote semblance of that in recent seasons but he's off to China.
mikel is not only about possession. . . .mikel is a grafter.
he gets in people's faces, he provides a shield to your edgy back four. . .players like him are a wonderful tool to have in a team.
since his injury, one could drive a tractor through chelsea's defence without hassles.

A boy that all the coaches (not just fergie) came to a joint conclusion that he is just not worth the stress.
He should go and win the World's best player elsewhere. It just might not be worth it.
alex ferguson is insane at this very point. he needs help and good advisers.

Considering the alternative is to grow old alone while your friends enjoy the fruits of having kids, i think marriage indeed is worth it.
I worry a lot about a woman coming to sow where she has not reaped . . . but what can you do? Hopefully you get one that will be willing to put in as much as she takes by God's grace.
i know a local government in eastern nigeria where you would get this particular breed.
i have few application forms left if you are interested. . . .$100 bank draft, 2 passport photographs, a set of your fingerprints.

Since Mikel got injured, our midfield have been in shambles.

Meireles, Romeu, Mata, Sturridge and Ramires. These players are not supposed to be playing for Chelsea FC.

AVB don scatter everything. He should respect himself and resign, he is not capable to handle the team. common Swansea we no fit beat
the most intelligent sentence on the chelsea thread in 2012.

however, people put mikel down because he doesn't score and assist goals.
they forget that his short, backward passes help the team retain possession, provides a balance and it gives the attacking players the freedom to cause havoc.
if it's down to goals/assists - guardiola wouldn't need busquets, fergie wouldn't need carrick and liverpool fans won't be missing lucas leivia.

Only Sagamite (as foolish as he is) has addressed my pressing concerns. The thought of a woman coming to reap where she has not sown bothers me. Except I can find a wife that has her own properties, businesses and assets, then why should I marry a woman unless she signs an iron-clad pre-nup?

Freecocoa rightly observed that I have a big-head. I am pretty warm and easy-going in real life but I have zero tolerance for foolishness and games. If you're not razor sharp, you can't roll with me except as a strict bedroom companion. The woman that will win my heart will try oh!  grin

ps - I included "for guys" in the title because the equation is completely different for women. They do have shorter biological clocks than men and lower rewards for devoting their youth to their careers (given income disparities). I don't want to conflate the two groups.
my friend, stop being an alarmist - don't ruin it for us(yet to be husbands)

yes - it is still worth it to have someone you love and grow old with.
it's a personal choice you will have to make by listening to yourself and not from others.

you have absolute and total control over what a marriage will be for you.
if you want a marriage like your grandparents (loving, best friend, whom to raise children with, who you know like your favourite pair of jeans, who you feel as if she is home to you) that's what your marriage will be.

if you want your marriage to end up like dumbass celebrities - married today, separated tomorrow, that's exactly what it would be for you as well.
life is what you make it.

what a marriage will be to you is entirely up to you and what you consciously want to create. it's like a garden, a marriage can be colourful, beautiful, full of butterflies and hummingbirds - but only if you cultivate it to be so. if you neglect it, like a garden, it will wither and die, and be a barren dry waste of dirt.

the $64,000 question is not "is marriage worth it"?
just like a garden, you can't really ask, is gardening worth it? well,  i think it depends on the gardener.

marriage can be a deeply satisfying, fulfilling way to express love and generate love for yourself and for others. but only if you are willing to cultivate it as such.
like joy and happiness, it is not a destination to be reached and you can say: "ok, i'm here!" it's a path to be walked.

and it is a glorious path! sure, you may have to deal with fungus/stubborn/elephant grass on your lawn, or the occasional spider mite. . . .but like a garden, under the right conditions, it will flourish unless you don't have interest in gardening!

I am not asking this question in jest; I am dead serious. What exactly is the point of marriage? I am successful, independent, I  have had a string of steady girlfriends and if I want, I can have a string of baby mamas. What exactly is the advantage of marriage for a guy? I just don't get it. Please don't tell me "love" because I have been in love twice in my young life (I am in my late-twenties) and nothing came out of it but unnecessary pain (I am not interested in love, ever again). So why should a guy get married besides family pressure?
of course, marriage is worth it for men. . . .
marriage is a beautiful thing - the fusion of a man and a woman. what else is more beautiful?
