Politics / Re: Wage: Governors Won’t Pay Above ₦‎70,000 - NGF by Cool83(m): 8:43am On Jun 07
victorsola:
70k is for the lowest and there nobody under the federal government in that category which is level 1-3 . This means the lowest person under fg will be going home with 90-100k . And you can’t expect a person without school cert to earn like a bsc or even a phd holder . It’s not possible . A level 8 officer earns 100k currently that means with the new wage they will be earning 200k and some fractions

In most of the state, level 8 doesn't earn above 70k

Mynd44:

There can't be a law mandating anyone to do what he/she cannot physically do.

State civil services are over bloated and governors struggle to pay 30,000. Abia state can't even pay the 30,000 yet you want to make it 85,000.

When you make this law, I hope you will be ready for the drama that will follow when the governors decide to downsize the civil service

I don't know why people use to say civil servants are over bloated, go to hospital no nurse, no doctor, go to school, you will see some schools with just 5 teachers including principal

Politics / Re: Minimum Wage: Why We May Not Accept N100,000 – Organised Labour by Cool83(m): 10:47am On May 20
Doyin2:
So the labour leaders expect a fresh secondary school leaver earning minimum wage ,to have a family of six?

Someone on minimum wage is also expected to have elevated to the status of renting a house costing N40,000 per month?

By the time private sector starts massive sacking of staff due to high wage bills ,perhaps the labor leaders would receive
some sense.
Which government have ever provide such support in this country, they are unrealistic that's why labour always ask for wage increase, government that find it difficult to provide good road, will be talking of providing house for workers

Also when the price of goods and services sky rockets, due to high wage bills ,hope they receive double senses.

Instead of negotiating better conditions of service, including staff bus, housing loan etc, they are demanding for monies that would eventually kill the economy.

I wonder what minimum wage would buy when the minimum cost of living sky rockets to higher levels more than minimum wage?

The most stupid and clownish labour leaders of all times!

AbuTwins:
This people no serious!

So how much will artisans collect now that minimum wage will be N615,000!

Sachet water/ factory workers!
Security men, etc!

Even the others above the minimum age will have to be increased to!

Inflation will rise the more!
Is there any good and service that has not increase in price, why would civil servants salary remain stagnant, just look at higher institution fees

Politics / Re: Minimum Wage: We Won’t Shift Ground On ₦‎615,000 Demand, Says Labour by Cool83(m): 1:41pm On May 19
sleek214:
Clowns. Even if government raised the minimum wage to N1,000,000 today, it will still be worthless because the economy will be on hyper inflation. The same goods you buy for N30,000 today is the same thing you will buy for N615,000, if minimum wage is increased.
Minimum wage was increased to N30,000 a few years ago and many states are yet to fully implement the N30,000 , most of them are still owning workers and you want FG to increase it further.

What you are trying to say is that workers salary should be stagnant while other good and service is increasing, kudos to you
Politics / Re: Labour Rejects ₦48,000, Walks Out Of Minimum Wage Committee Meeting by Cool83(m): 6:17pm On May 15
NAC1666:

I predicted 45k. FG tried by making it 48k. One thing people don't understand about salary increase is that it's leads to more inflation and government on the other hand go through the back door to collect all that money through tax and high interest rate to mop up more money in circulation i.e liquidity ratio
Because of inflation, they should be earning peanut

Health / Re: JAPA: No More Leave Of Absence For Health Workers Relocating Abroad – FG by Cool83(m): 3:21pm On Mar 10
The issue is that those that have already japa will just occupied space on the staff returns, for instance, if hospital is having just 10 nurses that are available, meanwhile the total number of nurses in that hospital is 20 including those that have japa, they will still be counting it that the hospital is having 20 staff, and that's disadvantage to that hospital
